《Queen of thieves》Chapter 5

Entering the slums Morgana wandered through ramshackle shacks and collapsing homes until finally she entered the seediest establishment she could find. Entering the rundown bar all eyes turned to her in one moment of confused silence while everyone wondered what business a girl who looked to only be about ten years old could possibly have here?
They didn't wonder for long however as she approached and instantly sized up all the men there before going to the side of who she picked out as the leader of the group. "I'm here to discuss some buissness with you." stated Morgana in a clear and confident voice, the lean and elderly looking man gave a condensing smile as the crowd stared in astonishment.
"Well now this is a surprise," he said "and what could the little lady want with me?" Morgana let out a slow smile "Hmm well I believe I have something that might interest you." very slowly, almost agonisingly so Morgana lifted the ring to the old man's face. The man stared at the ring for a moment before his eyes widened and his mouth opened "tha...that ring...it can't be???"
He stared at Morgana once more "well now, it's seems like you were right. We do have some buissness to deal with." Morgana kept smiling "I'm glad you think so." the main gave out a painful smile before walking to the upstairs of the bar motioning for the girl to follow him, and so smiling lightly Morgana followed.
A hand on her hidden weapons Morgana followed the old man into an upstairs room, sitting down at an old mahogany desk in the center of the room the old man gestured for Morgana to sit down "Alright," he said seeing she had sat down "Who the hell are you and why do you have that ring?"

"My boss stole it," said Morgana in a cool voice "they said they wanted to meet the boss of this area to discuss business with them, and as proof of their abilities they thought it would be quicker to steal something of obvious value with unquestionable authenticity." the man's mouth dropped open as he heard her answer before swallowing nervously.
"And am I allowed to check the ring?" Morgana let out a light laugh "of course, the boss has nothing to hide." holding out the ring Morgana watched as the old man let out a gasp of wonder before returning the ring "my apologies for doubting you, but I am not the boss of this city. I can however take you too him."
Morgana smiled "much appreciated." however a troubled smile appeared on the man's lips "are you sure you want to get mixed up in this buissness though miss, the boss he is not a kind man, he is not someone your age should be meeting." Morgana let loose a careless smile "Ill be fine, trust me on that much. Now when can I meet this boss of yours?" the man let out a resigned sigh "tomorrow morning at eight."
Morgana smiled once more before turning to leave "Until then then. First of all though, what's your name?" the man let out a rueful grin "Trystan the names Trystan, ask for me tomorrow morning at the bar below." giving one last nod Morgana nodded and stalked out the room a sharks grin forming on her face.

Beneath No Sky: Chronicles of the Atmospheric Sector
After bringing themselves back from the brink of annihilation, humanity's future seemed bleak. However, it's remnants, throwing aside the old order and donning a new mantle of progress aimed to rise above their ancient disputes and go forward as one. Once the Earth reached it's natural limit, and colonies around Terra and Luna had shown promising results, humanity finally decided to make the move to the stars. Believing this to be the start of a new age, they eagerly poured across the solar system and further beyond, greeting what space had to offer with hope and optimism. It was misplaced, however, for humanity's traditional quarrels soon resurfaced and engulfed a now interplanetary empire of many races. As the Earth Empire burned and an intense depression overtook the once optimistic people, some held out hope. They theorized that their problems were born of an inherent sense of home and, in order to rid humanity, now comprising of the Terrans as well as all the other known species of the galaxy, of this burden, decided to move far away from civilized space, into uncharted depths, to start anew. Some 200 years have passed since then, and those hopeful ones have finally found a place to settle on. Firmly planting their flag in paradise, they called this untouched land "Eden" and declared the beginning of a true new age, the age of After Eden.Trouble, however, seemed to still be hounding them, as barely three years after its founding, Eden finds itself at war with a seemingly uncommunicative and uncompromising enemy that far outclasses the odd pirates they were used to facing. A new era of peace, marked by an immediate conflict. Time will tell if Eden, the Grand Experiment, truly is as great as it's supposed to be. ---------------------------------------- This is a sci-fi, character driven, military space drama. Multiple POV protagonists and lots of unnecessary detail. Somewhat psychological. My first work on this website. Virtual reality: Sorp
Sorp is something bordering on what it is to be human. Perhaps he is more human. He has lived in squalor, his only family are the friends he grew up with. This is their journey through the new substitution for reality. In this virtual reality, they are given a purpose they never thought to seek out for themselves. To be more than hooligans. To be more than the bottom of the barrel. They do this in their own way. Unhindered by usual moral discrepancies. Ready to fight, kill and maim on a whim. Warning: This story does contain graphic descriptions of a sexual nature, violent fights, blood shed, gore and at times, crude language. There are also acts that are considered immoral or evil committed by main characters, so this story may not be for the faint of heart.
