"Guh! What the hell? Akechi! Go gather some the Adventurers and join up with the Guards and SDF to secure the perimeter, Nana! Follow the COMBAT team and listens to their order. Shima, come with me, we will help Police evacuate the civilians, Oh, Akechi contacts the other two! Tell them to keep an eye on Riku! and where is Jin!?"
Tsukiyama, along with 18 other official Captain ordering each one of their members about this crisis. Next to him was another Captain of other groups.
"...Mitsubishi, don't you think this is weird? 10 minutes have passed and yet there is no official order about this matter."
"Tsukiyama, I believe our priority right now is to evacuate as many citizens as we can."
"You're right, sorry."
**
"[Sonic Stab!]" A white aura spear pierced the body of a frozen Naiad.
"Nice Julia, .next target, the one on the left [Freeze]"
"Kuhhh!! These Naiad keep coming! [Push!]"
"[Ki Blast!] Leiko! Any news from the Guards and Adventurers!?"
"Sorry to disappoint you, but other districts have a condition far worse than our school, [Lag]"

Kh! After I killed the first 17 Naiad, they kept flooding into my location, at least the entrance was clear, but this is bad right? I was surrounded like I was a bonfire and they were the campers.
"Senpai! move out!" Asato's voice coming at the distance, but move where!?
Ah, the sound of something breaking and the heavy smell of gasoline pierced my nose, it didn't kill that many Naiads, but enough to make them scattered around. I dashed away from the besiege and cut through the fire. '1' '2' '1' *sigh* I didn't know whether or not I should be grateful for this rain. As soon as the fire on my body extinguished, so did the fire on the ground.

Though, he threw the Molotov like a rain, if this continued I guessed the right wing will be..
"Crap, Senpai! I ran out of Molotov." (....Stupid brain and stupid inner thought, *sigh* whatever, at least I had some rest), With a slightly renewed vigor, six pairs of watery whips tried to seize me again I evaded each one of it, called me crazy but was their movement became slow? For each second passed between running and slicing them, I recognized that something wasn't right, From [Mini Map], I knew they slowly shifted their gazes away from me. after the 32nd kill a sound of bell rung inside my head and At the 38th they completely lost their interest in me.
(Why? What are they looking at?) "[Map]" I opened [Map] and scanned the area around me. "...Huh? Why are they moving toward the same direction? grouping up?" These Naiads that were fiercely attacked me 20 minutes ago now stopped moving. I checked things by stabbing one Naiad and it wasn't reacting at all.
(Well~ Free EXP!) I said in my mind while casually stabbing each one of them, at the 47th kill, they started moving to the said direction. A few moments later, the Naiad at the right wing and left wing slowly followed its predecessor.
" [Map] ...Huh, the Naiads is completely gone from the school ground. Though, what is their reason for moving out? Ah, the others are coming."
I closed [Map] and turned my head to her, "Did you kill all the Naiad!?" Said Riku.
"What happened?" Asked Kyo, well I was wondering about the same thing.
"No, and I don't know, they've just suddenly stopped moving and start heading toward the same direction," I said while I was pointing toward the direction they were heading...... "The fuck!?"

It didn't get scanned at [Map] so at least it must be 50km away. A big Naiads that slowly became bigger as the time passed on, It moved its hands and readied to slam something.
"A [Raid Boss]!?" Said Riku, pardon me but whoever gave this kind of terms playing too much game. "Lighton, to that direction!" She rode her abnormally sized blue dog with a mane. Its feet pounded the ground with all the grace of a wet mud, It gracefully springing its steps, the splashing noise of its paw met with the wet ground resonated through the rain.
"...Nashi, we need to keep an eye on her." Said Yuki, her breath was slightly ragged, her cat ears dropped down and her tail wasn't lively, I wondered did she fight with a broken arm?
"Oh, the escort mission?"
She nodded weakly... "Hey, Yuki." I walked a little bit to her and touched her forehead. "What the! *sigh* get some rest, your body is crazily hot."
"....I'm fine."
And then the Streaks of pure white crackled against a stormy blanket of grey clouds, In that violent illumination, the next thing I saw was that big Naiad already melted and a shrieking and thunderous sound echoed inside my ears.
"Grh, what a crazy lightning... must be someone [Ability] huh. I guess that thing is dead."
"....The escort."
"Ah, right, *sigh* just take shelter, I'll chase after her. Serizawa, could you?."
"E..eh...ye..yes!"? Why were you stuttered so much?
"....Wait, I'm *cough*"
"You what? Seriously... just take some rest. [Map]"
Let's see... something that moved fast, two dots stacking on the top of each other, ah, found it, thanked God the area had been evacuated, but damn... this was only one minute and yet she already traveled for one km, how the hell I chased after her!? Even though I was protesting... I still chasing after her.
"E...erm...did Kamiya-san and Kurogane-san just called each other by their first name?"
"Oh, I didn't mishear?" Said Kyo.
"*Ssst* She's still here!" Said Asato, while he tried to shut his friend's mouth.
"....So?" Said Yuki in a cold tone.

Dear Spellbook (Link to rewrite in blurb)
A rewrite of this story has been posted here: https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/49881/dear-spellbook-a-fantasy-time-loop-rewrite Live. Study. Repeat. Tal is a sorcerer in a world where they are killed on sight, traveling with a man charged with carrying out the task. Every night Tal must pretend to study his spellbook to maintain his disguise as a Wizard’s Apprentice. If his disguise slips and his charade is uncovered, it will be his death. Seeking answers to mysteries that arose after his parent’s murder, Tal must accept any allies, no matter the risks, to uncover his family’s secret. But when he wakes up one morning to find himself trapped repeating the same day, he has to overcome his challenges all on his own. This story is an adaptation of a D&D campaign I ran but never was able to complete. I tried to capture the feel of a table-top RPG session —tropes and humor— without relying on the mechanics. This is not a litRPG or gamelit story and no D&D mechanics or system appear in the game. It follows one member of an adventuring party as he deals with the problems with that arise from being an adventurer. Namely, getting roped into adventures. The story has a time loop element, but will eventually move past that. This story explores the magic systems, the history, and the lore of the world through the lens of Tal's entries in his Spellbook and interludes from other written works in the world. New entries on Mondays Credit to JackOfHearts for the cover.

False Prophecy (Prelude)
Everyone knows the Prophecy of the Fated King. Everyone knows of his Six Signs and Seven Trials. Everyone knows he is the one destined to lead an army of soldiers and fae into battle against the spectral invaders known as wraiths. But what if the Fated King failed, and his Prophecy never comes true? What if he was killed surrounded by loved ones and devoted allies? What if he died four years before the inevitable war for our world’s soul? Humanity could not possibly survive without him. Could we? Nise, 107-563 P.R. False Prophecy is a high fantasy saga about a world that loses its chosen one four years before their apocalypse. The Prelude takes place during the five weeks prior to this tragic event, following a husband and father named Kon. When discovered to be a Seer - a human blessed with the power to see and bond with the magical fae - Kon is taken away from his family and conscripted into the Fated King's army to play his part in the coming war. Inspired by Brandon Sanderson's The Stormlight Archive, Wildbow's Parahumans, and countless anime. Disclaimer: FP's Prelude Novel, A Sung Prophecy, is slow burn and character focused. Expect lots of worldbuilding and an extensively large cast.

Carus - Libertas
participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge and also having a go at NaNoWriMo this November. This was a first draft published as it was written for Nanowrimo November 2020. A little rough around the edges, I hope to come back and edit at some point, and then continue the story on. In the grand scheme of things Elias was nothing special. Which was why he was surprised by a random company on a new colony planet buying out his contract. That was the problem with the large companies that ruled the colonies, once they owned your contract, they owned you. Imagine the greater surprise when he learnt that the new company held the promise of freedom. Not from the constant battle against the Swarm that were also trying to claim the colony planets for their own. Nor from the Crust, the mysterious substance that covered the same planets and held the resources they all fought for. No, the freedom from being oppressed by those with more power and to finally decide where to go and where to set down roots and call home.
