I checked the bulletin board, *sigh* what the hell, last year they made every Ability user sat on the separated seat and asked this and that anything about the world condition. Seriously, what kind of answer they were expecting from the high schooler.

I remembered there was another [Ability] user at my year, his Ability was only a little bit better than mine, the whole school laughed at him when the Government forced him to show his Ability, Ah, speak of the devil, the same guy appeared right next to me. He read the announcement with a disturbed face.

"Kyo, ready to become another clown?" I mocked him on purpose, he shifted his gaze toward me and frowned

"......urgh, shut up, at least they were reacting to my Ability, i can even hear the chirping of cricket when you were explaining yours"

Aguni Kyotaro, glasses, long hair and thin. One of the unlucky people that got another useless Ability. His [Ability] was Background Music or [BGM] it can play any kind of song that he already heard. The joke part? whenever there was a Flag or Event, his ability will be activated by itself. If he sad a melancholy song will be played, if he angry a rock song will be played.

I personally think whether or not an [Ability] was useful, they were a curse, if a person had a dangerous Ability they will be shunned and if people had useless Ability they will be mocked. Only some that had cool and valuable [Ability] will be accepted into the society and what i meant by society was School environment.

And for worse, every [Ability] user was prohibited to join any kind sports activity. Reason? Unlike normal human our body was physically enhanced by [Status], There wasn't much of a difference when we were level one, but once we went to level two the difference is pretty obvious.

After homeroom, every student went to gymnasium. Chairs neatly organized and at the stage there were the other seven chairs. Three people with blue and white uniform stood in front of the podium. One of them was Aoi Nana, a senior that got recruited from the last year test.

The lecture began, though i knew this wasn't the reason for other student attending the lecture. A guy with slick hair started to speak.

"Six years ago people gained [Ability] out of nowhere, the existence of Monsters also began to appear. Thus we need a promising youngster like you to join the Guards and Adventurers. As you may know, Guards duty is containing [Ability] users that uses their ability wrongly and Adventurer duty is subjugating Monster"

....Exposition warning, haaaah, the lecture didn't change at all from the last year. I wanted to sleep, my eyelids were heavy, this lecture was a lullaby for me, if only I didn't sit on the 'Special Chair' I sure I already fall asleep.

"And now these friend of yours are one of the little people that have an [Ability], if you please, please explain and demonstrate your [Ability] to the audience, starts from the 3rd grade."

" [Bronze Key] this allows me to open any kind of safe box" he explained in a confident tone. Yes, that was useful [Ability]. If Nana didn't exist. He will be the one recruited for the Government.

Next was Kyo turn. ".... [BGM] i can play any kind of music that i already hear," Kyo said this in a low voice, some students giggled and one of the students yelled "Oi!! Walking Jukebox!!." other students laughed their asses off when they heard this, personally, I didn't find it funny, at least he can prove that he had an Ability.

Next was me "[Mini Map] to know location." same as last year there was no reaction, one of the first years raised his hand and yelled "That's all!? proof it!!". I ignored him and sat down once again. I really curious about the next person.

Next was the first year turn, there was four first year that had an [Ability]. The first one to speak.... i didn't know how to explain this, twin-tail braided hair and freckle on her face and she brought... a white chicken with her.

"um... Kita Ikuko... [Immortal Chicken] this girl here can't get hurt as long as she near me"

What? her voice was too small. I only heard the immortal part so it might be a strong one. But what was her deal with the chicken??. I saw the students at the hall also gave a complicated face, maybe because they confused or can't hear what she said, none of them made a joke about the chicken.

"I have [Craft], I can craft anything as long as I have the blueprint and the necessary material" a short boy with silver hair explained.

"....[Cat Folk]" Next was a gloomy girl, thin and short, long black hair dropped down on her right shoulder, her skin was as white as snow and she sat back without explained anything.

" [Fire Ball], its simple i create fire and control it" the next one talking was a boy. He showed off his Ability while he was talking. He flicked his finger and small fire created, like a conductor in the orchestra, he moved his finger left and right and the fiery ball followed. His gang members cheered him from the spectator seat. Yup, i had zero chemistry with this type of person.

As usual, next was the Q&A section, nothing important in this section. When i thought everything was over, the spiky-haired agent opened his mouth

"Now, as for the new recruitment program, until lunch over, the [Ability] user will play 'Hide and Seek'."

"Eh?" every student inside the gymnasium including me, making this dumb sound.
