“Before I train you on information gathering, you should watch the news. The police found Johnny and his friends.” Stated Seel.
Following her instruction I turn my attention to the nearby t.v. and watched it as the news had the breaking news logo on and had under it the title “Falcon’s Son Murdered” and had two analysts in a heated conversation.
“Someone is trying to take down the heroes and they are going after their families first!”
“No, we can’t go there, the cops found booze and drugs at the scene. Furthermore, there has been word of a sixth person in their group that has not been found yet.”
“And she got close to John and killed him. They are an agent to bring down the heroes.”
“I just said they had booze and drugs scattered around, they easily could have angered their dealer and he killed them. And what are you getting at by saying the heroes are targets?”
“Come on, after the Phanuel travesty, people have been in an uproar and terrorist groups are sprouting left and right.”
“Stop spouting nonsense, there is no proof of anything you're saying.”
“We interrupt this program to bring you live to The Falcon’s news conference.”
“Yesterday night I learned of my son’s death. He was a bright boy with a great curiosity.” The Falcon is standing stoically, making sure his words are clear as he continues, “My son wasn’t perfect but he was still mine. I raised him from a baby to a man and even though he stumbled he was still supported. I still love him and I knew that my bright little boy could come back and shine brightly but this tragedy has ended his potential. Someone took him away from me. He took away his opportunity to change. He took away the most precious of all things, his future.”

The falcon looked coldly at the camera. Killing intent permeated the air. He then slowly said, “The person responsible… WILL PAY DEARLY.”
Hurrah, my first nemesis.

As a courier for the Sleeping Dragon Guild, Cross prefers things simple. He keeps to a tight (albeit rather lazy) schedule and does his best not to deviate from it. But things do not always go according to plan. One day, a creature appeared on the beach of a world ruled by the human race. Born from a higher form of intelligence that was spending its immortality crossing between worlds, the creature's mission was simple : live and see. See what for yourself what the world has to offer. But what the world had to offer was sometimes quite overwhelming. ** [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] from chapter 2; be careful, chapter 1 has sexual content. Refer to the tags as the story can be quite dark. The story is a slice of life turned not so wholesome as the protagonist meets mostly freaks while becoming one themself.

Samuel has had a weird day. He found out he's dead and he's been transferred to a world based on the Wild West. Now one of the thousands of, technically dead, people populate the game world of Duskwood Online, but only some are aware that they are in a game. All he has to do is adjust to a new life in a Wild West that has a healthy dose of fantasy. That is until he finds out a special contest open to all of the Active Cast. Complete an impossible quest and earn a new body, constructed to specifications. It won't come cheap. The quest spanning the known world is the easy part. One life, no respawns. Death means they fade away into the background cast, no longer aware they are just an NPC in a game. There is another side to the contest that others don't like to talk about. A bounty on each person who starts the quest. Samuel has a choice to make: hunt his fellow Active Cast members or go after the goal for himself. Saddle up for a LitRPG adventure that runs from High Noon to Full Moon.
