"Huh? This is… Uhhhh umm? Errrr? No way…" Confused murmurs and whispers echoed around a small baby with a ghostly red arrow shaped tattoo on it's forehead.
As to why the baby could talk and see, well you see it was once an arrow… Yes an arrow, the stick with a sharp and pointy metal end and feathers on the other.
The arrow was more than 1000 years old and it was stuck underground in a huge piece of ice for a long time, not moving or really doing anything at all.
Just there, with a consciousness because it has had more than 100 years of life and developed itself into an amazing arrow that could think!
So the arrow sat or stayed in the ice block thinking, don't know what it was thinking as it couldn't feel anything until 200 years later.
That was when the consciousness of the arrow was strong enough to get out of it's body and see the world… Inside the ice block as it prevented the soul from getting out.
The arrow got angry and tried to move it's body, then the arrow realised that an arrow can't move! Because an arrow wasn't meant to be flexible, at all.
The arrow couldn't move it's body at all… So the arrow got angry again, that was when the arrow's puberty came, ahem only mentally… The arrow got ahold of complicated emotions and listened to the animals near the ice to develop his understanding of this world.
He found out two ways to get out of the ice:
1. To make his body flexible by absorbing the water in the ice and move with his soul, this method will break his body afterwards so he listed it out…
2. To train his soul and develop a soul space or an element to either melt the ice or store it in your body

The arrow could only go with the second one, but the second one required a soul manual and he didn't know where to find one.
500 years later after repeatedly thinking of random sounds and choosing sounds that enhanced the power of the soul by even a little bit then connecting it, feeling the hottest words and placing them together.
Arrow learnt the entire magic language by himself, and made the strongest fire elements soul manual that was possible for an arrow's loose soul. Ghost fire point manual (because the arrow is actually just a ghost or loose soul)
The arrow then named himself… Arrow, not the word of course, the arrow in magic language: wortio.
200 years later Wortio's soul that couldn't dissipate because of the ice has trained his soul to the point of being right next to a God and finally melted a small hole with the red ghost fire he trained with his manual.
It turns out that the ice was supposed to be the hardest ice in the world and the moment it melted wortio realised.
"I could have fit the ice in my soul space instead!" So he did… And the mass that disappeared caused an amazing vortex that lead to another world For absolutely no reason and wortio got worried that the vortex was gonna suck him in and-
"Wuarghhh!" Wortio's soul was sucked into the vortex and left his actual arrow and inflexible body which floated into another piece of ice behind…
Wortio's soul then went into the body of this newborn child and boom! That's the very amazing summary of Wortio's worthless life for the past 1000 years!
… Yes…This story is just a joke nandesu~ enjoy.

This is the story of a mind; growing, learning, adapting, and becoming more. -- Currently the first three chapters are - well, kind of experimental. I both like and hate these; they were a pain to write, and I'm told by at least one person that they're painful to get through, but I think something like them is necessary to set one of the basic ideas about the way the story is written. It gets slightly more normal after that, the first arc of the story is rather "battle school", and I think I may need to go back and edit it - the characterization didn't end up working out as well as I had originally hoped, unfortunately, and ended up rather weak to my eye. I may go back and add a sub-plot or two, depending on how well I can handle the intended perspective shift of the second arc. -- Currently on hiatus, in case that wasn't obvious. I'm debating between rewriting large portions of what I've already written, and just finishing out the story, but either way, I don't actually have a clear idea of what I want to do right now. If I'm still feeling the same way in a few months I'll put a chapter up explaining where the story was going, maybe, so the people who have enjoyed it can know where the story was intended to go, and close this out.
