When he finally got to the end of the Allan Bridge, he stopped as he sensed another presence. This time, he knew for sure it’s Glenn. He opened his eyes, and turned his head to his left side, spotting Glenn through his peripheral vision, leaning up against the parapet of the bridge, looking coy as he usually does.

Shortly afterwards, he felt and heard an explosion that is very close to them. He assumed Glenn blew up the center of the bridge, like they had planned since the beginning, to make sure none other would follow them. Glenn stood up, and turned to face Karr, and then he bowed down to him.

“And with that finale act, the play is done. I hope you enjoyed the show, you have been a wonderful audience my old friend.” Glenn said with a grin towards Karr.

“The play will still go on. For if not, it will leave a bad taste in my mouth if we leave it as it is for now.” Karr said coldly, as he turned his head towards the horizon of the great Unum Plains.

“We still have the other three seals to break, that the Leviticus family left behind… I know of where one is at, and we will have to restock on our resources for that one. As for the other two, it’ll take some time to dig up research on their whereabouts…” Karr said as the storm starts to calm down.

“Sounds like work for Evan and that elven witch to deal with. You know we can’t risk my exposure into human settlements, I might get discovered and then leave a trail of corpses behind heheh.” Glenn said as he rubbed his chin.

“I suppose you’re right on that, we’ll have to send a few agents throughout the land, to pick up hints of anything about the Leviticus family. I’m sure there are leads still out there. At least, for the seals…” Karr said while searching for their horses from where they last left them at.

He couldn’t find them, assuming that some bandits or passerby’s may have taken them, or a predator, perhaps the horses broke off the branch they were tied to in desperation fear of the thunderstorm.

“By the way, who was that mutilated head of a woman from earlier? A fan of yours?” Glenn asked with a smirk while fumbling with the onyx that bears the sealed soul of the beast from earlier.

“She was just a fellow countryman that fought valiantly for her country. She put her life on the line, knowing full well of the risks that would follow for her decision…” Karr said in his usual calm tone.

“To bad she died swiftly, I would’ve had so much fun torturing her during our travels. I can imagine her going mad midway haha. So to sate my thirst of torturing a woman, I decided to plant that orb bomb, into her neck, it took some time to force it down, but it was well worth spent. Of course, I also forced her soul into this here gem…” Glenn said as he fumbled into his pouch for a smaller onyx gem, and tossed it to Karr.

Karr caught it with ease, and he looked at it, holding back his empathy, so Glenn wouldn’t use it against him in any way. He pocketed the gem into his right pouch.

“As for the beast?” Karr asked.

In response, Glenn tossed the bigger onyx to Karr while smirking. Karr caught it with his other hand. He looked into the onyx, feeling the power, emanating from the gem.He can tell this creature will surely sustain their new god for a better world. He pondered if he should even hold onto Brenda’s soul and release it when no one notices. Karr pocketed the beast’s gem into his left belt pouch, and continued to walk towards the plains.

“Let us be off Glenn, we have a long road ahead of us, with no ride, and no provisions.” Karr said as he strode off.

Glenn followed him while crossing his arms behind his head.

“Karr, my old friend. It’s like you don’t know me at all. You know I don’t require sustenance, nor sleep to do the things I do heheh. Of course I need rest to replenish my mana, as do every living creature does. If you can consider me living that is heheh.” Glenn said while smiling.

“I suppose… I do have a filled water skin and one day’s worth of rations in my pouch. I can go for a few days without food. Regardless, it will be a long walk ahead of us.” Karr said while he continues his march.

“We should, most definitely run then, so we can cover more ground and shorten our distance. After all, our destination is… On the other side of the friggen country!” Glenn shouted with impatience while stamping the ground repeatedly with his left foot.

“And we will, after I contact Evan or Emma. For now, I just want to walk in peace for a while. Today’s events have been very weary on us today.” Karr said with his casual stoic tone.

“It is peaceful to walk through these plains, if one hasn’t passed through many sceneries such as this, like I have for the… Past few centuries of my travels throughout these lands.” Glenn mumbled while he kept up Karr’s pace.

Karr overheard his mumbling and even thought to himself, ‘More of a reason to keep an eye out for this goblin…’ The two continued to march off, into the cloudy evening horizon
