Well apparently I failed miserably in my first attempt of the “water element” skill

I hope it was at least somewhat funny for the readers…

But funny aside, I still need to figure out a proper way of activation.

For now I have some ideas in mind but I´m kinda anxious

What if none of them work?

Nope, no no, these thoughts are the least I need at the moment.

Try out first, worry later

Well, my second idea is a little more, what should I call it even?

Say different

If brute-forcing doesn´t work I simply need a different approach

So, let´s go with science!

I mean think about it

If the skill won´t activate on its own, then it has to have some kind of condition

And I have the hunch the condition is connected to my image of the skill, or in other words how the process of making water works

Because even though I´m working with magic here, in the end I want to create water

Now, on a primary level everything is just composed of atoms and molecules right?

For water it´s H2O, so let´s imagine the particles interact with each other to become water

It may seem a little farfetched, but if it works it works right?

“Let´s give it a shot” I say filled with hope but also anxiety as I shut my eyes

I envision a vast white space, where spherical particles wander around aimlessly

Two smaller white globes, hydrogen

And one larger, red one, oxygen

They approach each other

Then, they fuse into a formation of three, connecting with something similar to sticks

This process repeats, again and again

hundreds, thousands, millions of times

I “zoom out” of the white space, farther and farther

The millions of particles eventually become what we perceive as water, and this very water flows out of my hand

!!!

“Wow wow what!” Is what comes out of my mouth as I see what comes out of my hand

“[Water creation] has been learned.”

My heart is almost flying out of my chest right now

I barely finished imagining and it immediately…

After some ten seconds I manage to set my thoughts straight again

By now the stream of water has stopped, a small puddle was made beneath the boulder I´m sitting on.

It´s magic

Magic really exists

And I am able to use it

And I also got a new skill

And I can make water whenever I want now

And, And!

I´m probably grinning like an idiot right now…

I try to make some more water but I can´t focus at all

I take some deep and long breaths to calm my excitement.

“Okay, I´m calm now” I lie to myself

How in the world could anyone stay calm after something like that?

I stand up and walk around excitedly

After about five minutes and a few hundred repetitions of “Oh my god I can use magic let´s go!!” pass my excitement finally falls a little.

Then I remember that I have forgotten something important

I still haven´t checked the water for its drinkability

I put both of my hands together and envision the whole process of creating water once again.

This time I slightly rush the chemical process, but it still works

I fill up my hands and just when it´s about to overflow, I stop

Neat

Then I ask appraisal to do its job

“Distilled water. Due to lack of minerals it would be dangerous to consume”

Wait, no way, are you joking?

Everything was going so well and now that?

Give me back my good time!

“Why? Why does it lack minerals?” I shout out frustrated

Of course, deep down I already accepted it

I literally made “water” without any additions. Of course it would be distilled

But I´m still pissed, so let me rant a little…

An electric feel runs through my head and a bulb is lit

Didn´t I have the [Mineral Control] skill?

It´s a farfetched idea, again, but can´t I just create the lacking minerals?

Hastily I open my status.
