“I am bored.”

Maria talked as if someone could hear her. She wished that someone could hear her. She had stayed here for several hours. No matter how long she walked, she can’t see a wall. Everywhere she went to is white. After a while, she gave up and lie down on the ground. She tried to close her eyes hoping to get out of this place like before, but nothing happened. The advisor didn’t respond to her call either. She was truly alone in this vast white space. This loneliness didn’t eat Maria out for so long before a door suddenly opened in front of her out of thin air. Before Maria was able to react, the door sucked her in and transported her into another familiar white space. However, this time, there stood in front of her the Advisor. Maria immediately jumped on and hugged the thigh of the Advisor.

“Where have you been all this time?”

The Advisor tried her best to wriggle out of Maria’s grasp

“Let’s me go, Miss. I have an important matter to discuss with you.”

Seeing that she can’t escape the iron grasp, The Advisor asked,

“Do you want to go back to that room again?”

Maria immediately released the Advisor and shake her head rapidly.

“Good. Now, follow me.”

The Advisor turned around and a crimson door appeared in front of her. The Advisor pushed open the door and lead Maria through. On the other side of the door is another vast space, however, the floor had been replaced with scorched earth, the ceiling has been replaced with a sky contain many colors flowing around at fast speed. In front of them is a big cage contain a girl bathed in fire. The girl was almost indistinguishable. Maria can only see her flaming hair and her crimson eyes existing within that writhing flame.

The red-headed girl banged her head against the cage, but it had no effect. She screamed out screeching words toward the Advisor but the Advisor took no heed.

“This is the “aspect of Violence”. Some time ago, she has awoken. That title is what I get from the database. Well, it kind of fitting, don't you think?”

The Advisor calmly explained about the circumstance.

“She was originally asleep with many others. However, due to the fact that you haven’t eaten for a very long time, she forced herself up, and here we are. Stuck in a mess that she created.”

The advisor then drew an invisible link between me and Aspect of Violence

“When you get hungry, she also gets affected. When it reached a certain point, she will be allowed to take over the body and act as she sees fit. Her actions are very primal. Please keep it in mind”

The advisor then threw something at the Aspect of Violence, she caught it and ate it savagely.

“I threw her the food that you ate before she took over, the fruit of ERA tree. Any food you ate will be given to her in order to generate energy.”

When the aspect of Violence finished eating, her face was filled with satisfaction and she went to sleep as if she had forgotten everything she said before.

“I also reawaken your digested system to let you know when you should eat in order to prevent her from taking over. It is very important to not wake her up, Maria. This is the first time she awakened hence I was able to weaken her before she went on a rampage.”

The Advisor pointed her finger on my forehead and give me a birds-eye view of my own action, how Maria wreck the fairy village, get subdue and kicked out by a scary Onee-san.

“The next time she wakes up, it won’t be that simple. The worst case is she will replace you as the new Maria and you will be lock in your room possibly forever.”

Hearing that she will be locked away in the room again gave Maria fright. It is the first time that she ever feels fear in her heart.

“Then why didn’t you tell me this before?”

The Advisor took Maria hand and lead her out of the room

“It was a slight miscalculation.” Then the Advisor went silent.

Maria press on “You said that she is “One of”. Are there many other likes her inside my body?”

“Yes… however, you have to be in a specific situation to awaken them first. Then you must convince them to help you. For Aspect of Violence, the condition is by feeding. In order words, go and eat as much food as you can, the more delicious, the better. In return, you will receive many physical benefits, I reckon that if you eat enough, she might even be able to give you immortality.”

The Advisor chuckled a bit then turned around and pushed Maria toward a door that appeared slowly.

“That is if you can eat enough though. Good luck, Maria.”

With that, Maria was returned to her body once again. When she opened her eyes, what she felt was her head was throbbing with pain. She could feel a big bump on her head with her hand “The Onee-san really did a number on me didn’t she.” She recalled the battle. It wasn’t much of an equal fight as she felt the scary Onee-san was holding back her power when she pulverized her with a fist. “How unfortunate.” She thought. If it wasn’t because of this take over incident, she should be on a warm bed by now instead of a cold dirty place out of the middle of nowhere like this. “Where am I anyway?” She tried to communicate telepathically with the bird she created before, but she could feel that the connection is very far, it won’t be of any use for her in a long time. Before Maria decided what to do next, she noticed a pair of wings with a familiar pattern sticking out of a nearby bush.

“Ami? Is that you?”

As if a shock flowing through, the pair of wings stay frozen as if it was a rock.

“Yes, I can see you behind the bush you know. Your wings are sticking out. Don’t worry, I won’t attack you like before. It was an accident.” Maria stepped closer to Ami but Ami fly away.

“And what accident that causes you to torch our entire village?” Ami replied angrily from above, outside of Maria's reach.

Suddenly, Maria's eyes were overflowed with tears.

“It was my father who did this to me. He implanted me with a curse that makes me go crazy. It was a miracle that I was able to escape his grasp” Maria cover her face and sobbing.

Taken aback by Maria's pitiful appearance, Ami let down her guard and tried to comfort Maria with a pat.

“There, there, I am sorry for being too harsh on you. What a horrible father to curse their own children like this." she thought about it for a while then asked, " Anyway, do you know any detail about the curse?”

“I remembered that he said I have to eat to keep myself from being crazy. If I get hungry, the curse will activate and rob all my reasoning.” Maria replied.

“How clever and wicked that bastard is. With a curse like that, if a little kid like you try to escape, you will starve yourself and cause destruction to everyone around you…”

As if remembered something, Ami turned around and try to reorganize her head.

“… like a remote control spell… Yup, that’s probably it. That would explain everything.”

Ami turn back and pat Maria head again

“Poor little thing. Don’t worry Maria, the Queen has tasked me with a mission to take care of you. Until you can remove the curse, I will be your nanny.”
