Medusa waved off her hand and blocked the fireball, Sakura casted all her spell consecutively, while Medusa blocked all of it, Sakura’s mana was substantial, however with the way she casts her spells, it was getting expended swiftly, but with her emotions to avenge her party, she didn’t care anymore, tears were falling on her eyes, she was snuffling while casting, she thought she was strong, but this woman was blocking all her spells with ease, she felt helpless, after exhausting all her mana, she lost her balance and fell over.

Maron heard every shout of Sakura, but he didn’t know what to do, he was frozen in place, with his eyes closed, he wanted to help Sakura, but he was scared, after a little while he heard Sakura fall over, he went to the sound of her, and tried to help her up, but she wasn’t moving.

“Hey, Sakura, wake up! Wake up!” Maron shouted, but it was in vain, she lost her consciousness.

“SHIT! SHIT! FUCK!” Maron cursed all over, he didn’t know what to do, so he carried Sakura and ran away from Medusa, “Wuglat! You okay, follow my voice and come to me” he shouted to Wuglat.

“I’m okay” said Wuglat, and quickly ran after the voice of Maron, the two of them are now hiding behind a statue, they’re thinking of a strategy, when suddenly they heard her voice behind them, they quickly shut their eyes, Medusa closed in on them, and caressed Maron’s face.

“How did you know my powers?” asked Medusa with an alluring voice, “Anyone that seen my powers has turned to stone, so how did you know about them?” she followed circling around them.

“I’ve heard stories about you” Maron said turning his head away, while the snake hair of Medusa was snipping on his face.

Maron recovered his mind, afterwards he shouted “AA-12” while still on the ground, and quickly rained on the voice of Medusa ‘BAGBAGBAG’, he was shouting his lungs out while pulling the trigger “AHHHH!!”, he didn’t stop shooting, he didn’t care if he was missing, he aimed at where he heard Medusa, his arm was hurting because of the recoil, however it didn’t stop him from pulling the trigger, after a while he stopped and heard a sound on his head, ‘Ding’ Level up, was heard a couple of times, afterward he opened his eyes.

Maron saw Medusa laying on the ground, Sakura still unconscious, and Wuglat on the ground covering his ears and his eyes still shut, he went to Wuglat and tried to help him up “Wuglat, it’s okay now” he said, afterwards Wuglat stood up and looked around, “Thank you for saving me” Maron said and hugged him, “Yeah, no problem” Wuglat replied and hugged back, after that Maron went to Medusa’s corpse, he pulled out his AA-12 and shot Medusa a couple more times, “YOU FUCKING BITCH!!” Maron shouted.

After venting his anger Maron and Wuglat went to Sakura and tried to wake her up, “Hey, Sakura, wake up” Maron said as he pressed her, Sakura groaned a bit and woke up, afterwards she immediately asked “Where’s Lakian and Aja”, Maron and Wuglat pointed at two statues standing beside each other.

Sakura ran up to the two statues and hugged it, “No, no, no, no” she repeatedly said, afterwards she bawled out loud for a while, and she sat on the ground, she didn’t know what to do, she felt powerless, weak, helpless. “Why did this happen?” Sakura suddenly asked, in which Maron and Wuglat couldn’t reply, they stayed there for a while, a couple of minutes has passed.

Maron decided to stand up, and urged the group to move, she helped Sakura who has now calmed down a bit, the party started moving to the teleportation chamber, while Sakura was glancing back to the statues a lot of times, as they came back to the teleportation chamber, they saw the statue of Typha holding a pillar up looking at their direction, it looked like he finished fixing the chamber when Medusa came, after seeing Typha, Sakura couldn’t help herself from crying, she was going to fall over again, thankfully Maron was beside her helping her stand.

“It’s okay, it’s alright” Maron said, as he supported Sakura up, the group now walked to the middle of the teleportation chamber, afterwards the pillars lighted up, and they were transported at the small room once again, they walked slowly to the door, the party now opened the door and started walking back outside, when they came outside it was already nighttime, they untied the horse.

“Can I be alone for a moment” Sakura said, as she climbed inside the wagon and didn’t wait for a reply.

“Yeah, sure” Maron replied, he and Wuglat climbed up on the driver’s seat, Wuglat whipped the horse and the carriage slowly moved to its path back to the kingdom, it was a quiet journey, everyone was tired and nobody wanted to talk, the night passed with the sound of the wheel and sounds of insects.

The party travelled all night long, it was already dawn when they reached the kingdom, everyone was gloomy, they paid the guards for using the teleportation chamber, and didn’t greet back to their good morning, the carriage and horse they used was left in a stable, before they went on the road Maron asked Sakura “Sakura, do you have any place to say? You can stay at our inn, the owner is Wuglat’s aunt, so you might get a discount, the food is good too”

“Sure” Sakura said and showed a dispirited smile, she walked quietly beside the two of them, afterwards they finally reached the inn, the two greeted Aunt Snak and explained the situation, Aunt Snak agreed with no objection, and hastily accompanied her to a room upstairs. The two also went upstairs, before coming inside their room, they looked at each other and said “See you later”.

Maron took of his golden armor and dropped it on the floor, he didn’t jump straight to his bed this time, instead he went to the bathroom and took a long shower, inside the bathroom he recalled everything that’s happened, he met a companion from earth, learned magic from a Naga, a centaur bought him armor, his friends turned to stone, he killed Medusa, which was unbelievable, it was a really long day for Maron, he’s only been in this world for less than a week, but there’s already a lot that happened, afterwards he finished taking a bath, he didn’t wear any clothes, and jumped on straight on the bed, he stared at the ceiling for a while, afterwards his eyes slowly closed, as he falls to a deep sleep.
