《The Administrator》Chapter 11: Career path (II)

To be honest, I did not understand why the game had different career paths, with each being so different that they may as well be a different job. After all, the magic path is like a simple mage, the physical enhancement path is like a martial artist, while the create path is like an alchemist.

However, the boss asked us to program it, and therefore we programmed it in.

Thinking about which path to choose is not as easy as it originally seems. If you pick the wrong choice, you will definitely be at a disadvantage. Each path has a fixed set of skills that you cannot learn from other paths, along with an ultimate that you can use to basically destroy the enemies, or maybe help with creating items.

Seeing as my second job is a production class, I don't think that path 1 and 2 are suitable, while path 3 is completely unfamiliar.

You see, even the alchemist does not have the ability to create items out of nothing using only their mana. They can only convert things from one item to another. The result is a whole lot of confusion for me. I do not know what advantages that it has, other than the ability to create items, and what disadvantages it has, other than the high mana cost, which was almost a given.

Dammit, this is too great a choice to make in the heat of the moment. It will definitely affect my future greatly, but it is written off as just a simple choice that I have to type on a keyboard.

After much deliberation, I have decided on just going for the create path. After all, it’s not like I'm going to go on adventures all the time. (Foreshadowing) Opening up the console, I typed the command in and hit enter.

‘Job

Administrator Lvl.2 (create path)

-Allows player to use console. and skills ‘create’,and [Redacted]...

-Has a higher INT stat, but other stats are lowered.

-allows player to have a second job, but limited to production jobs.

-Is unable to have non-class-related skills. Non-class-related skills are converted to commands. that can be used by mental imagery (TN: means that if you think of using them you use them instantly. Easier to understand in Chinese, but idk how to translate in a way that is easy to understand yet brief)’

‘Skills

-Create (proficiency: 0.00) (level 1/99)

-Allows player to create items using mana.

-Mana cost depends on the difference atomic mass, mass, and volume (in g/mol).

-Formula: manacost = (atomicmass * mass * volume) to the power of 1.05, rounded up to the nearest integer.

-Command: /create [material/item] [mass] [volume] {extra parameters}

-Locked

-Unlock requirement: Job level 2’

This path seems very… mana intensive. This may have been a mistake. The most worrying part has nothing to do with atomic masses, or masses, or volumes, but actually the Power of 1.05. While it is insignificant when creating 1 cc of hydrogen, it starts to become problematic when creating large amounts of high density material.

Since my job is a weaponsmith, I will definitely be creating a lot, and I mean a lot, of metal. I can already calculate how terrible the mana consumption will definitely be.

When I finished reading the skills window, I thought, Ah, I should test it, and maybe impress some Mary! I got out of my room and walked straight into someone in the hallway.
