《The Magical Workman》The Magical Workman Chapter 7: Going to School Soon
Advertisement
I woke up in my bed at home feeling exhausted. When I looked around right after I opened my eyes both of my parents were sitting in chairs, pointing towards me, fast asleep.
I quickly woke them up by shaking both of them hard.
“Uhhhh” groaned my dad and mom at the same time as they started to shift from their slumber.
They started to get up, but collapsed in their chairs as soon as they stood up.
“Hey Mom, Dad get up” I shouted into both of their ears
They shot up from their chairs, but instead of collapsing they stood up perfectly straight.
“Hey dad, why was the offer to go to this school so important” I cautiously ask my dad
“Well you see, this school is the number one school on the whole human continent, and you, with that amount of magical power absolutely should go to that school to learn how to control it, and learn what your elements are.” Replied my dad
“What about learning swordsmanship from you, and craftsmanship from mom?” (Me)
“Well school doesn’t even start for a while, so let’s bring this registration form to the post office, and for these few months we can teach you as much as we possibly can” (Dad)
“Ok sounds good Dad” (Me)
So with a speed incomparable to normal humans my dad and I delivered the registration form to the post office, after we filled it out, and quickly scampered home.
“First in the mornings you are going to train your body, at noon I’m going to teach you my simple swordsmanship, and in the afternoon and evening you will be taught craftsmanship by your mother” (Dad)
“Ok first off we are going to train your body, you are going to be wearing this first for your body training, and later when you get used to that we can increase the weight” Said my dad quickly handing me what looked like normal leather clothing, but actually weighed at least 30 pounds.

I quickly stripped down and put these clothes on, it was actually quite heavy considering I’m only five years old.
“To start off I want five laps around the house and at least one hundred pushups and one hundred sit-ups”
I sped off starting my first lap around the house. The perimeter of my house was only about 1000ft all the way around but on my second lap I was already starting to wheeze. I mean come on you try to carry 30 pounds of weight and run almost a mile when you’re only five.
On my fourth lap I was about ready to collapse, I was slowing down and it was hard to keep a good pace. I barely managed to get through the fifth lap without collapsing.
As soon as I got back to my dad on the fifth lap, he shouted for me to start pushups and later the sit-ups.
I somehow managed to get through the first round of training but I was extremely exhausted so my dad gave me an hour to rest before sword practice.
The hour flew by and I was quickly back to my dad for what I would assume to be hellish training.
My dad handed me a small wooden sword that probably weighed about five punds
“Before we even get into the basics of the basics, I want you to learn the proper sword swinging stance. For now I’ll put you into this stance, but I want you to memorize it later. In this stance I want you to swing that sword two thousand times” (Dad)
He scampered over to me and positioned my body into his sword stance. I started to swing the sword, one swing after the other. By the time I got to one thousand swings I was so exhausted I wanted to stab my dad and fall asleep, but he kept pushing me forward.

Eventually I somehow got to two thousand sword swings, and my dad dismissed me to go to my mother.
Walking into the house I found my mother sitting at the kitchen table waiting for me. I sat down as she started to explain what we we’re going to do.
“First I’ll teach you the basics of sewing, then after you master that I’ll teach you simple cooking, after that I’ll teach you basic alchemy and herbology, and finally I’ll teach you basic survival skills, such as starting a fire or skinning an animal. Before we even start that go take a bath you stink” (Mother)
Sitting back down after washing off, I was presented with some scraps of leather, a needle, and some thread. Explaining everything in vivid detail, my mother got me to somehow scrap together a leather pouch, but that wasn’t good enough for my mom. We worked the rest of the afternoon and all evening until she finally was somewhat happy with my work.
I went to my room mentally and physically exhausted, and I fell asleep quickly.

Where Giants Fall
A fantasy LitRPG about traversing through worlds and slaying giants with nothing but a wooden suit and an army of treants. Nicholas Atkins didn't expect to wake up naked in the glowing woods. What he did expect was waking up to a hangover after last night's party- fortunately, that wasn't the case. Unfortunately though, he had worse problems to take care of than a headache. At first he blamed it on the alcohol; from what he recalled in Biology, glowing flowers didn't exactly exist in the realm of reality. However he was as sober as he could be, so next he blamed the drugs, but there was a problem- he didn't have the money to do drugs in the first place. When the fairies came, things became even weirder. Talks of climbing towers, magic tricks, and dinner were all on the table. Of course, dinner was the priority, but so was getting back home. However slowly, Nico realized that he might actually want to stay in this fantasy world. After all, he's had enough listening to Professor Paul's lecture on calculus- the swords and sorceries were just an added bonus. Still, staying in this new world has its own costs- and money is but one thing on that long, long list. Updated everyday except Saturday GMT+8 (Specific time varies by around 30 minutes). Mordheim: Servants of The Damned (A Warhammer Fantasy Fiction)
“The Great Library,” Stated the stranger with a pause. “You know of it?”“Of course I do. In the Merchant’s Quarter?”“Yes, in the Merchant’s Quarter. I have gathered that there is an… artefact of importance within its walls.” Slowly, the figure produced a rusted key from the furls of his robes and held it in a black-gloved hand. “This opens the door to its chambers. It is the grimoire of Gunnar von Krugenheim, and I believe that it would serve better in the world than locked away in a dusty room.” Behind the cursed walls of Mordheim, warbands and gangs of all stripes are embattled in constant wars for resources and power. The cursed city attracts throngs in the thousands, searching for treasures, artefacts, power, and sometimes all three. The Cult of the Hidden Brethren is no exception, and when an opportunity to extend their reach is discovered, the cultists are eager to take the opportunity. However, not all is set in stone, and soon the cultists discover that the lure of power alone may not be enough to give them the drive required to see their quest done... --- Mordheim: Servants of the Damned is a fanfiction set in the world of Warhammer Fantasy, which is not owned by me but by the company Games Workshop. I of course, lay claim to nothing in this story but the characters I have created, and the core events of the story itself. This is my first true foray into fantasy writing, let alone Warhammer Fantasy, therefore any feedback is welcome. (It should be noted as well, the cover art is merely an artwork I found online and is not mine, therefore I do not lay claim to that either.)
