Just wanted to say I've got a few ideas in the bank but stuff is going on in America right now... so I haven't been able to finish up any of the stories I want to tell y'all. Seems there is now a character limit so I need to add somthing else.... uhhh....
You know, I've always prided my writing on this site for trying to set the bar for "what is a 3 star story? What is mediocre?" This has always been my goal, my desire, my hope. I hope, that when people think of "mediocre" on Royalroadl, they think of me. You, think of me. Because if there is one think I've learned from this site, is that excellence in writing is hard. It's impossible. Whenever you think you're close, you realize that its worse because of how close you are. The next couple of ideas, that I've polled just to get a read on people (top kek) are mostly about that. What are the biggest issues that stop a story from being perfect on RR? What is a perfect story on RR? Haven't seen a perfect story so I can't answer that. As always though, I hope my writing gets everyone else to a gooder place.

Sci-fi dungeon crawler. Set in the far future when humanity has reached the stars and finds it is not the first to do so. Alien technology has been left behind by a long dead race. Ancient cities, abandoned starships, temples and fortified bunkers all contain artefacts and devices far in advance of what humans have been able to produce. Technology that feels more akin to magic, so powerful it can allow a single person to dominate a star system. But these relics of another time have been left well-defended and behind bewildering and impenetrable security measures. There are those who are compatible with the alien technology, who can augment themselves to face the evermore extreme protocols in the depths of the alien ruins, and by doing so attain greater power. Follow Alan through his adventures, and find out for yourselves how he deals with the challenges thrown at him by a new world, while struggling with the issues brought with him from his old one. * Author’s note: A fair warning. This is the first time I’ve published anything, and basically the first time I’ve written anything more than mandatory school-stuff. The story will probably have inconsistencies, grammatical errors (not my native tongue, though that excuse is getting old), and potentially confusing (missing?) plot. I will naturally do my best to write something worth reading, but my main goal in writing this story is to have fun and explore the limits of my own creativity. My hope in publishing it here, is that I’ll reach someone who enjoy the story, and can push me forward towards writing more, as it is difficult at times to find the motivation to write just for myself. Additionally, I can’t really promise to have regular updates, as I have a full-time job that often likes to take the ‘full-time’ part literally, and a sporadic social life that occasionally surprises me (happy surprises mostly, so I shouldn’t complain).
