GOD OF LIFE POV
' I should help some people out cause this is boring to watch. I wonder if I should release information about the underworld to mortals or if I should open up the barriers protecting this part of the world from the rest? Now that would really shake things up. With all the new "chosen" that will be arriving soon more space will be needed.
I wonder how earth is doing? I've been inside of this game since the beginning of everything, I was the first person transported in just shortly before they started dumping in the A.I.'s to fill the jobs and build society to make it enjoyable for people who want to upload. Lately though things took a turn for the worse on earth. They needed to buy larger data storage components and facilities in order to store and protect the mind of everyone already uploaded. This all caused the company to go heavily into debt and in order to get out they came up with the plan to allow people to play the game as a vr game, not many people would be able to play though seeing as the pods were tens of thousands of dollars to make plus there is mark up for sales and monthly user fees making it a very expensive adventure, though many would pay because with the recent development of pods many vr games are in production but nothing has been completed as of yet making this world the only completed vr worthy game. The "chosen" should begin arriving in a few days but they will be crippled compared to others who are fully up loaded. Their learning speed will only be 3/4 as fast and they can't become Titans or gods. Their amount of available races will be much larger though seeing as around the world there are more races than I care to count that will be playable. I should probably create a few more gods and maybe a Demi God or two with a few world bosses. Maybe a plague... Nah to much chaos with a plague. I wonder how I should choose who and who gets what? Hmm maybe the fortune wheel? Nah over used, oooh I know how, number 1 and number 3 on each leader board should get something. Yeah that's how I'll do it. Okay let's get to this...

Death Smith
Thirteen years ago, large Rifts occurred in our world, connecting us with something beyond our understanding. Survivors of these Rifts came back with strange and unique abilities that set them apart from the rest of humanity. When an unsuspecting young man finds his life turned upside down after surviving a Rift and suffering betrayal, he vows to take revenge on those who betrayed him and to battle the nature of the Rifts, no matter the cost. Sadly, the cost for him would mean to put aside everything he used to think was right and wrong, and to accept his new fate; A Death Smith.
8 159God complex
A hero is summoned to another world, vanquishes evil, yadda yadda, saves the kingdom and lives happily ever after. There is no such hero in this story. Just a desperate youth with great ambition and very little to lose. A zero to hero style story set in a country clearly inspired by modern USA with just as many issues and the minority of mages often pulling strings from the shadows. I am also hoping the whole thing won't turn out edgy enough to cut me. I want to rely on actual good writing rather than cheap powertrip gimmicks. edit: Please don't mind Zetari's salty review. He is quite literally making up any use of the torture and human experimentation trope and says MC is blank after 4 chapters where he conveniently stops reading just at the start of his first character development. For extra entertainment, I will be uploading chapters two at a time and compose a relevant poem through the chapter names. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
8 89Beyond Tomorrow
The galactic war has shaken the galaxy since prehistory, but mankind knew nothing of it. Like most of the truths of the universe, it was kept secret. Among the travelers arriving in New Westminster in 1879 is Cylas Renford of Indiana, a man seeking his fortune after trying a long string of trades. His new friend and companion, Morninghawk, warns him of strange occurrences in the wilderness and the myth of a secret people, but Cylas fails to heed the warnings. An innocent walk in the woods and a series of coincidences will bring Cylas face to face with criminals, monsters, startling weapons, the secret people, and will culminate in being propelled Beyond Tomorrow. Written in the tradition of American dime novels of the 19th century and the planetary fantasies of Edgar Rice Burroughs, Beyond Tomorrow is a pulpy first person tale of adventure in a future where the world itself has become an alien place. This LGBTQ adventure has a gay male protagonist and is non-explicit, in keeping with 19th century pulp writing. This work has been broken into sub-chapters for its posting here and will be updated regularly.
8 87Letting Go...
The first story is about imperfect love and forgiveness. This is a collection of short pieces, poetry, prose and visual images.
