《Kali Yuga》Chapter 96. Huang Wen's victory.

Huang Wen's right arm was locked by Captain Wang Yun. His wrist was caught, his arm was bent and his elbow pressed hard. He was struggling to break free, but Captain Wang Yun had sacrificed too much to give it up.
For nothing less than few minutes, they were struggling. Huang Wen tried to break free while Captain Wang Yun tried to have his arm locked.
"I'm gonna break your arm.", said Captain Wang Yun smiling.
"BANG!" , the sound of shot was reverberating in Captain Wang Yun's ear.
"I'm gonna blow your head.", Huang Wen smiled back and replied.
Captain Wang Yun stared in disbelief, like a magic trick, somehow his pistol was in Huang Wen's left hand. Blood was dripping from his right temple. Huang Wen didn't wait to pump few more bullets into his brain. It wasn't easy to aim, with one of his arm locked. Huang Wen didn't struggle to break free. He was struggling to get a good aim at Captain Wang Yun's head. Captain Wang Yun did catch Huang Wen's arm, but not before Huang Wen got a grab at his handgun and deftly threw it to his other hand.
After the second shot blasted half of his face, Captain Wang Yun still had some consciousness left and gave his all to break Huang Wen's arm in revenge.
The third shot ended his struggle.
The fourth ended any shred of life that still hung on his body. Half of his head was gone into pieces. Captain Wang Yun's body slumped into the armored vehicle's roof top. Huang Wen still had his gun on his hand. He walked toward the edge and shot any soldiers around him, emptying the magazines.
He casually leaped from the armored vehicle and at the same time activated the skill to disappear from everyone's consciousness.
He needed to do something with the armored vehicle, but want to reserve his spiritual energy and tried not to use his fireball. He preferred to use it, to hide his presence for a longer time.
From his previous encounter with Captain Wang Yun's army, he knew they were pretty well equipped. Some of them had grenade and he wanted it. Killing Captain Wang Yun would hold them for a while, but there were other ranked officers who would take his place. Within minutes they would be back in order. He needed to use every minutes the best he could.
Huang Wen walked among the confused soldiers. He didn't do anything to them, until he found someone who had grenades on him.
It was already hard for the improved high level men like Captain Wang Yun to notice his presence. These soldiers were not Captain Wang Yun, most of them were just some ordinary soldiers. It was close to impossible for them to break through Huang Wen's skill.
The soldiers with grenade, didn't notice his presence even until Huang Wen's hand crushed his skull.

Some soldiers near him noticed his presence by then. It took few seconds for them to adjust between what they saw with their eyes and the reality inside their mind. The skill didn't make Huang Wen invisible, just made them ignored his presence. Now, suddenly one of them died, their mind tried hard to make it rational and for the first time noticed his presence.
But at the same time Huang Wen's skill worked hard to keep their mind to ignore his presence. The conflict within their soul rendered them helpless.
Huang Wen quickly walked away from the scene and as soon as their eyes couldn't see him, the conflict within their soul subsided. Huang Wen was gone from their sight, but his skill was still working on their soul, it was a wide area skill. Their brain started making excuse of how one of them suddenly died. It wasn't hard to make up stories because they were at a battle.
Huang Wen went to do the same a couple times and soon he had fifteen grenades with him.
He walked casually to the armored vehicle. It wasn't going anywhere and rather used as rally point for the troop. Huang Wen saw someone marched toward the armored vehicle at the same time. This person gave instructions to several men who came with him.
Smiling Huang Wen watched this man entered the armored vehicle, before he pulled the pin and threw one grenade toward the ports at its side, that were used for the infantry inside to shoot.
Huang Wen also noticed that there were two windscreen at the from, from which those at the front could look through. He threw some grenades to that direction as well. On top of it, under it, anywhere he could think of. After all he didn't know much about armored vehicles. He just made a guess and see if it could work. He quickly kept on throwing one after another before threw himself away and activate his invisible shield.
Within seconds, the explosion didn't just kill those inside the armored vehicle, but also many soldiers around it.
The armored vehicle shook, the windscreen cracked, at least one of the grenades went through the port into the compartment and killed all the soldiers inside it. The commander and the driver at front were survived but injured and shaken.
Huang Wen got up and checked the result of his job and sighed. Part of him was disappointed to see him failed at destroying the armored vehicle, but it also made him interested to have that armored vehicle for him to use.
Huang Wen walked to the front and saw the cracked windscreen, this time he didn't thought of reserving his spiritual energy. A small but concentrated fireball appeared on his palm and shot through the windscreen. The windscreen melted when the fireball passed. Huang Wen had completely master the skill and could make variations of fireball, limited only by his creativity.

When he was done, both commander and driver died with a finger sized hole on their temple. Two holes of the same size, appeared on the windscreen as well.
Huang Wen stood there for a while, admiring his work.
"I should done this earlier.", he said to himself.
Huang Wen regretted it a bit, but at least now he knew how strong an armored vehicle was and what could be expected from a hand grenade. The armor almost didn't have any dent at all from the grenades explosion.
Huang Wen just hoped that the grenades didn't do much damage to other parts of the armored vehicle.
He no longer hid his presence by then. His attack to the armored vehicle was too showy for everyone not to notice it. Not to mention that he killed the second in command at the same time.
Huang Wen raised his arm and another fireball appeared upon his palm, this time it was big in size but less concentrated.
"I told you to surrender back then... but you refused.", he didn't shout and spoke calmly, but his voice clearly heard by many.
As soon as they heard it, their heart were clenched in fear. There was no Captain Wang Yun anymore to keep their morale high. The same Captain Wang Yun who freed them from Huang Wen's pressuring murderous aura, had been killed in front of them.
In a moment later, the same man appeared to kill the next in command and rendered their armored vehicle useless.
The same man now had one huge fireball shot out of his palm to them.
The explosion spread in tens of meters, injuring close to a hundred at once.
Huang Wen raised his arm high, behind the defensive lines of Gutian town, about eighty soldiers watched the scene with racing heart, "SOLDIERS OF GUTIAN!!!!"
"LET'S KILL THESE TRAITORS!!!"
Huang Wen's voice boomed and reverberated throughout the battlefield. Eighty or so soldiers behind the defensive lines cheered. Though it wasn't as domineering as Huang Wen's shout, their cheer added the pressure on their enemy's morale.
Huang Wen didn't wait for the soldiers behind him. He charged toward the enemies before him and started the killing right away. He gritted his teeth and steel his heart. He killed men, left and right. His heart trembled to see all the killing. Each time he killed a man, part of him cringed in pain, but he had no choice.
These people were his enemies.
And soon, eighty or so soldiers from Gutian town, joined the battle. Rather than a battle, it was more like a slaughter.
Battle was about morale of the troop. It was rare to see a battle where one side completely annihilated and killed the other side. Most of the time, the battle would stop when one side lost their morale and ran. There would be many casualties once they were routed, but many would survive. Either they ran and regrouped. Or ran and deserted. Or surrendered and beg for their life.
Captain Wang Yun's death, the destruction of their armored vehicle and Huang Wen's pressuring murderous aura, shook their heart and sent their morale tumbling down the hill. Once the first several soldiers turned their back and flee, it was a snowball rolled down the hill.
Tens of them flee, make hundreds flee and then thousands was running away from Huang Wen's domineering presence.
The soldiers from Gutian, charged only to find their enemy's back. Of course, it didn't stop them from shooting their enemies. Rather it woke the primitive instinct within. They were the hunter and before them were their prey.
Everyone seemed to be lost in their frenzy.
Perhaps among them all only Huang Wen who wasn't driven to mad by all the killing. He was the only one who kept his mind clear and calm throughout the killing. But at the same time, in appearance, he was the most crazy among them all.
His distorted face, resembled demons in fable and fairy tales.
His hand and feet moved so fast and brought death wherever it went.
His pressuring murderous aura completely ruled them all. Some of the enemies even found their leg gave up under his gaze.
From the direction of the town, there were Huang Wen and his men. From the other direction were thousands of zombies. Colonel Wen Liang's army didn't had any will to fight anymore. Even Sergeant Liang couldn't keep the morale. He wasn't the charismatic Captain Wang Yun, all he got was his armored vehicle.
His crew were loyal to him and ready to die for him.
But Liang Xiangyou was lived and survived through many hardship not by his stubbornness. He knew when to give up.
He didn't embarrass to shout at the top of his lung, "WE SURRENDER! WE SURRENDER!"
Once the other heard that shout, one by one, they began to stop and kneel down.
Huang Wen had waited that for such a long time now. Every time he killed a man, he kept on thinking that his heart wouldn't be able to hold on if he killed one more, but killed more than one he did.
Even those soldiers who followed him, began to calm down and the horror of what they just did began to creep on their conscience. When Huang Wen raised his arm to stop them, everyone secretly sighed in relieve. Through his spiritual link, Huang Wen commanded Baihu to stop the zombies.
There with eighty men and thousands of zombies, Huang Wen won his battle. The first battle where he led everyone by himself, without anyone assisted him. And all of his actions were deeply engraved on the memories of all who were in that battle that day.
