《Uncommon Reincarnated Slime》Chapter 01

I'm only going to say the main points of my life before I died, I was boring, I wasn't the type to make friends fast, I didn't beleive or deny religion of any sort, I read Light novels and fanfics mostly fantasy based, I lived 8 years before I died only to be revived in a different world then my soul was extracted and placed in my current body by a strange gods whim.
"..."
As soon as I start feeling the world around me I start feeling extreme discomfort in my "mouth" so I spit out the cause of my discomfort to see grey round ball, as I was wondering if the god who played with my soul placed this inside me just to annoy me, as I was about to touch it to pick it up to look at a box with words pops up saying
you have done what no slime has dared to ever do by throwing your own core/heart outside your body, taking pity on you the 5th major god grants you an ability
Ability unlocked: Permenant Core Seperation
Ability unlocked: Main Body Revival
Permenant Core Seperation (Passive): The ability to live seperated from your core with the passive effect of feeling intense pain when your core is touching your body, you'll still die if your core gets destroyed but your main body dosn't take damage
Body Revival (Passive): If your main body should disappear to nothing then your soul shall be sent back to your core/heart to begin regeneration of main body
When the messages popped up it was to late since I was already touching my core as they showed up, what felt like an intense fire burning my brain as I touched my core I quickly and was releived when the burning stopped.

"OWWWWW, fuck that hurt, so that's my heart/core damn god gave me those messages late on purpose..."
"so Im a slime now, I'd have prefer something more huminoid maybe a fox demi human"
I take a look at my surroundings, Im in the middle of a group of trees surrounding me so im probably in a forest with my core under a tree unprotected and in plain sight.
"safest thing I can do for now is find someone to befriend and protect my core but for now"
I went and gatherd some leaves and twigs to hide my core since I cant move/touch it without feeling the pain, it took awhile since I wasn't used to my new body yet but I quickly adapted since my body seems to move in any way I desired with the sensation that my whole body feels like a giant pudding.
When I was satisfied that my core wouldnt be noticed on first glance, I start exploring my new surroundings and I quickly found an elven village less then a 5min walk away from my core, if that wasn't scary for a slime then having my core found by some kids 3 times bigger then me when I get back.
The kids were picking up my core and looking at it as if it was some kind of magic rock, I tried to scar the kids by running up to them making as much noise as I can which worked but the kids ran off with my core still in the little girls hand, I followed them back to the village only to stop at the forests edge since there was to many people walking around for me to keep chasingthem, I found out which house the girl that took my core lived, one of the houses that had a sign on it with the picture of a book on it.

Grave Digger Gary
Where is the last place you want to be when the zombie apocalypse begins? In a cemetary, digging a grave, of course - which is exactly where Gary finds himself when his world is abruptly initiated into the multiverse. And that's just the start of his problems. Due to a technical error, Gary doesn't get the same character sheet and upgrades as everyone else. Nope. Instead, Gary gets classified as one of the undead. He's a zombie now - except, Gary didn't die. And he doesn't want to, either!A LitRPG/Gamelit story of what happens when one man armed with a shovel takes on the undead hordes threatening to overrun his reality. Combines zombie apocalypse horror with pen and paper style RPG game mechanics. Updates are Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at just after 6PM UK time / 11AM PT / 1PM EST . I've set up a Patreon account here: https://www.patreon.com/gravediggergary if you'd like to support the story and read up to 15 chapters ahead. All support is very much appreciated! The underlying system on which the story runs is a work in progress (like the story itself!) so there may be adjustments to character sheets etc as the novel rolls out. Spelling and grammar are British English unless I mess up in which case it's just gobbledygook (please feel free to point out any typographical mistakes or obvious errors, I appreciate it!)Finally, this story is cross-posted on Scribblehub. And I think that's everything! Thanks for reading! All content copyright Robert Thorne 2021

Being unable to even take his own life, Damien struggles to get past each day, looking for something to live for. With every passing day, Damien becomes more solemn and impassive. Three months later, Damien has almost given up, but to his surprise something unexpected happens. He is given the chance of a lifetime; to take part in a study focused on researching the effects of VR games on quadriplegic patients. Authors Note: If you find that the dialogue from the prologue to chapter 5 seem to be not that smooth, I apologize for that, it was my first time writing a fanfic so the dialogue was not in a format that is ideal. However, due to reader comments and some research I will try to attempt to improve the dialogue from chapter 6 and onwards. I may or may not come back to edit the first few chapters since I would have to rewrite most of it and I would rather spend that time writing out more of the story.
