Fatigue starts to course through my body. My legs start to feel heavy with every step. They are starting to come closer to our goal. I need to at least stop them before they score. Opposing number 28 nutmeg (kicking the ball between a player's legs) our number 7, he is coming even faster now. It’s between me and him now. He starts to confuse me by faking left and right. But, before I know it…

*THUMP*

Now I’m on my back out in the field. He just rushed through me, overwhelming me and making me fall flat on my ass. This is bad… The crowd begins to yell and cheer. They scored another goal. Tears began to form in the ends of my eye…

*2x Whistles*

The game is over.

After lining up and shaking hands with our opponents. We began to go towards our school bus, crying for seniors. Their season came to an end. Endless weeping can be heard throughout the bus, this is going to be a long and sad ride.

(The next day; Saturday)

My season is over. I guess I’m back to my days of boredom. After watching multiple episodes of anime and reading some new books online, I still need something to keep me busy. While surfing the web, I discover a weird and flashy AD.

“New Gaming Experience: Virtual Reality”

ChromaNet Gear Cost: $5,000

I can hardly believe that we actually achieved virtual reality. Considering that we already broke through the monitor barrier a decade ago. Now it’s just better equipment going out to the rich. A commoner like me doesn’t even have enough money to go college without a scholarship, so school should really come first before gaming. Since right now, my soccer dream is a dud. A box popped up making me flinch for a second by the loud sound and flashy light.

“Enter for a chance to win the weekly jackpot winnings!!!”

It’s just another annoying AD, why don’t I even have ADblocker on this computer? Right when I was about to click on the close button, I clicked on the image. Aww. Wasting even more of my time. Right after closing the tab, I decided to just stop and go outside. This is probably a sign to get some fresh air, I tell myself.

After going outside I take a slow walk through the streets. It’s been awhile since I’ve been out here. I remember as a kid I would always go outside and just play with whatever there was outside. But now that I’m all grown up now, I’m busy with school and sports. Not enough time for hanging out elsewhere.

After walking for a good 20 minutes down the streets, I found an interesting bunch of kids near the curb, playing with a basketball. Brings back a lot of memories from when I would go out and play ball with a bunch of my friends at the park. While crossing the street, the kid that had the basketball lost his grip or something because the basketball fell and went down towards the intersection. With a matter of minutes, he ran for the ball. Then a truck came around the corner heading towards the kid. This isn’t going to be good. Right before the truck driver saw what was about to happen, he tried his best to go around the little kid.

*Screeeeeeeeeeeeeech*

While the truck was trying to go around the kid, there was a little girl also crossing where the truck was going to ram into. Exactly right in front of me. This girl is going to die.
