《Re: Dystopia (Completed)》Chapter 23. First Continent.

Author's note - No more world background things like in previous ones. (The text in bold and italics.) Also... Kingdom name please... Comment the name down below.
It is time for total takeover of this world. Beginning with this continent... Hmm... What should I name my kingdom anyways? Ah... I'll figure that out later! Now to check on my Knights...
Yeah they are doing fine. It's taking them a while to sort out an enemy from an ally though... There is too much blood on their clothing I think. I need to find a better way to make my knights tell enemy from friend apart.
I jump down from the roof and crash into the ground standing on my two feet and my hands behind my back. I land right infront of all of the civilians running inside the Tower.
Mithneel: "It seems the city will be cleared soon. Does anybody here know of the enemy leaders location?"
A single old man walks up to me from the entire crowd.
Old Man: "The leader is towards the east from here... There are a lot more troops over there though..."
Mithneel: "Thank you, old man."
I start walking towards the east while observing the board. Seems the city is finally cleared. The knights are coming towards my position... Now, how shall I deal with the enemy in the east? The radiating sun? Something else?
Sukrera: "Try this one!"
One of the slots starts shining. It holds a huge troll-like beast holding two axes and has two huge horns...
Mithneel: "What is this?"
Sukrera: "A warbeast! It can absoloutely demolish that army! It took half of our power at our prime state to take it down! It's kind of barbaric though..."
Mithneel: "Ah, thanks Sukrera."
I put my knights back into their slots once they get here and go to the city gates in the east. Yeah... He weren't kidding that there are a lot of troops here. I count about... Three Hundred thousand in the vanguard? I guess the Warbeast will take some time so I'll get out my entire army...
I place all the knights back down into three lines and leave a spot in the middle for the warbeast that I put down after the knights. I also place the Hollow Radiant Sun down and a couple mages from my new unlocked space. The enemy vanguard starts wavering immediatly when my army just suddenly appears out of nowhere. I look at my army and I am quite happy with this...
Mithneel: "Warriors, Mages, Warbeast, Radiant Sun. See that army over there? Crush it. Make it regret attacking this city. Surround them and start slowly advancing. Mages, shoot into the middle of it. Radiant Sun, assist the Mages. Warbeast, charge into them and kill all of the enemy soldiers... Go!"

The knights surround the army as best as they can leaving a little bit of space between eachother but surround it leaving room for the warbeast to enter. The Mages with the Radiant Sun blast a hole right into the middle of the army and the Warbeast charges in through the hole the knights left. I look at the sight infront of me while sitting down on the wall.
I hear screams and see the warbeasts feet completely coated with many layers of blood and guts and other things inside a humans body. The mages stop their bombardement when the Warbeast gets close to the middle. The Sun keeps just pulverizing the enemy that tries to attack the knights. The Knights just kill or throw the enemy that attacks them into the air and then hits the enemy in the air full-strength at the others. It's actually funny to see the Knights play ping-pong with the bodies of the enemy since they hit so strong the body flies to another Knight. And they actually make sure no body falls out of the circle so they try their hardest to throw the body back into the frey.
I actually feel sorry for the enemy army... They have no chance. And I think this is their entire army? Well... It might be many armies together. I saw a lot of different coats of arms on the soldier's shields and chestplates before they were pulverized or just cut down.
I try to measure the Warbeast... It is about five meters tall and is wielding two huge axes with spikes. The warbeast is almost pure-black with some green markings on it's body... The warbeast is wearing a simple cloth to cover it's important part. When a blade hits the skin of the warbeast it gets even more angry but there is no cuts on the skin. Fast regeneration or just tough skin... Don't know which one.
The XP bar ontop of the table that appeared in the latest level-up is filling up quite quickly... It's at one fourth's of the bar and most of the enemy army is dead... Guess I need four of these huge armies. I already got one so three more to go!
I look at the sight for a while and notice Fyra and the others behind me looking at it aswell.
Mithneel: "That blood on the Warbeasts legs... That used to be the Vanguard of this army."
Fyra: "So.. Powerful..."
Mithneel: "I have one more level to go..."
Fyra: "Until what?"
Mithneel: "I free these two."
I show Fyra and the others the two girls.

Fyra: "Why... Are they there? They seem exactly like the two Legendary Heroes sent to fight at the beginning of Dystopia... It was written into History about the two Heroes... They were sent into a fight they never came out of..."
Mithneel: "They were imprisoned into this board. I will free them."
Fyra keeps looking at the two girls enslaved in the table.
Mithneel: "Oh, the enemy army is dead. I need to put them back into their slots..."
My army comes back to the positions where I put them down. I put them all back into their slots and look at my group.
Mithneel: "Any idea where they came from?"
Fyra: "No."
Ren: "Nope."
Meril: "No idea."
Julia: "No, I don't know."
Artimael: "Sadly I do not know."
Mithneel: "So basically go to each city and crush their leaders and take the city over?"
Artimael: "Yeah. The closest city is to the East... Maybe they came from there?"
Mithneel: "Well... Let's go."
I pick up Fyra and Ren and Arti picks the other two up. We run to the nearest City only to find it burnt to the ground. The next city is to the North of this city... We run to that city and find it is completely intact. I guess this is where they came from...
We run into the city past the City Guards. Me and Arti put the girls down in the centre and I head towards the Aristocrat's house what should be North from the centre of the city usually. I run for a bit and find the big mansion.
Mithneel: "Guess I'll join the fight this time."
I open my board and summon two squads of Knights and bring out my scythe. I go to the front door and kick it down surprising the two guards who are immediatly cut down by my Knights.
Mithneel: "Knights, kill all enemy soldiers in the house and bring everybody you see who doesn't fight you to me. If a civilian tries to engage you, capture them by tying them up with something in the house."
The Knights seem to nod and they run off. If I remember correctly... The main part of the house should be in the middle and straight at the end of this corridor.
I walk to the other side where there is a door and I kick that down too. There is a big table with many aristocrats around it.
Mithneel: "I was correct then... Hello people who sent a massive army to the White Tower Town... I had fun destroying your army. Now... I'll need to kill you."
I slash with my scythe once and cut all the aristocrats down. There are maids behind me who I didn't look out for and one of them came out to be a hidden guard. The guard tried to stab me in the back after I counted how many aristocrats I just took out. The blade upcourse broke on contact with my skin and I hit her in the face due to reflex.
I grab her by the neck after I hit her.
Mithneel: "Ah, sorry! I did that out of reflex!"
I let her go and she immediatly runs to the other maids crying a little and holding the spot I hit. I guess she was ordered to attack or something and was not trained to be a guard? Luckily I held back the moment I noticed I was going to hit her no matter what.
Mithneel: "Maids, I won't hurt you. I just came here to take care of the Aristocrat's and take over the town."
I walk out the door and the Knights I sent into the mansion come back carrying a ton of slaves and maids. I laugh a little at that sight.
Mithneel: "Put them down. Let's go and announce my takeover of this town."
The Knights immediatly just drop them ontop of eachother or on the ground and follow me outside.
Mithneel: "Knights, get the towns attention."
The Knights immediatly shout something in a weird language. I am impressed they even shouted...
The entire town looks at the Knights and me. Guess I gotta shout aswell.
Mithneel (shouting): "All citizens of this town! Or whatever this location is! I am your new ruler, Mithneel Evergreen! I come from the White Tower City what I also took over! Nothing will change except that you will be under my protection! If you want proof look inside this manor to find all of your previous rulers dead!"
I stop shouting and go back to the centre where Fyra and the others are.
I do the same as I did in this town in every other town and city and village I passed in the first continent. I encountered no resistance from anybody when I brought out my S-class adventurer card and all the achievements I have done were written on it.
And that is how I took over the First Continent...
Only fourteen and a little more to go?

Beneath No Sky: Chronicles of the Atmospheric Sector
After bringing themselves back from the brink of annihilation, humanity's future seemed bleak. However, it's remnants, throwing aside the old order and donning a new mantle of progress aimed to rise above their ancient disputes and go forward as one. Once the Earth reached it's natural limit, and colonies around Terra and Luna had shown promising results, humanity finally decided to make the move to the stars. Believing this to be the start of a new age, they eagerly poured across the solar system and further beyond, greeting what space had to offer with hope and optimism. It was misplaced, however, for humanity's traditional quarrels soon resurfaced and engulfed a now interplanetary empire of many races. As the Earth Empire burned and an intense depression overtook the once optimistic people, some held out hope. They theorized that their problems were born of an inherent sense of home and, in order to rid humanity, now comprising of the Terrans as well as all the other known species of the galaxy, of this burden, decided to move far away from civilized space, into uncharted depths, to start anew. Some 200 years have passed since then, and those hopeful ones have finally found a place to settle on. Firmly planting their flag in paradise, they called this untouched land "Eden" and declared the beginning of a true new age, the age of After Eden.Trouble, however, seemed to still be hounding them, as barely three years after its founding, Eden finds itself at war with a seemingly uncommunicative and uncompromising enemy that far outclasses the odd pirates they were used to facing. A new era of peace, marked by an immediate conflict. Time will tell if Eden, the Grand Experiment, truly is as great as it's supposed to be. ---------------------------------------- This is a sci-fi, character driven, military space drama. Multiple POV protagonists and lots of unnecessary detail. Somewhat psychological. My first work on this website. Hero
Kuren is just your average boy. He's just been asleep for one thousand years. Heroes and grand epics. Kuren doesn't have the time to think about things like that, nor does he really care. Join Kuren as he wanders the fantasy land of Alurca in search of his lost memories and the reasons behind his lengthy slumber. This is sort of a reboot of Anomaly, the first novel I tried to write. I gave up Anomaly after going to college. I thought about going back to it, but... when I look at it now, it's not very good. It was very edgy and not much substance behind that edge. The story wasn't quite going anywhere since I hadn't given the main character a goal. I had planned out a story, but I forgot to to plan out the details between the beginning and end. So this one's for real. Hopefully you won't be disappointed.
