Kale: Good afternoon Cydonea, I brought you more medicine.
Cydonea: Thank you young man as always. It seems you're getting along well with that child.
Kale: It's kind of a nuisanace but-Hey don't charge at Cydonea.
*sneeze*
Cydonea was greeted with a hug from the human form of Airi.
Cydonea: Oh my, If it isn't the tiny creature that slept on my trunk. You look fantastic sweetheart.
Airi: (Mom's smell! But not mom... Airi still likes it.)
*snuggle*
Cydonea: It's nice to see you too little one, but what are you really.
Kale: I think it's safe to say that it's both human and beast. A demihuman called Felynnthropes. But it's a long way from it's kind.
Cydonea:I see and look at how playful it is.
Cydonea was dangling a vine above Airi's head. Just high enough for her to barely reach it. Airi in human form kept jumping and hopping to reach the vines. Cydonea: Isn't it adorable I even saw it popping all the slimes by the lake.
Kale: So it was because of her that the outbreak that comes every year never came to town.
Cydonea: That must've been troublesome right?
*blush*
Kale: Yes, my herb garden and vegetable s gets damaged. But sometimes it's a Godsend because, A slime or two accidentally devour the right amount of ingredients to turn into cure slimes that give detoxifying effects to the ones that drink their liquid insides.
Cydonea: If that's the case wouldn't it be easier to feed them the right amount of herbs?
Kale: We thought of that but they would either attack or eat more.
Airi got bored of the vines and sat there watching the two's chit-chat.
Airi: (His ears are wiggling again. His ears are getting as red as his cheeks too.)

Airi then tugged at his sleeve and climbed to his shoulder. She then placed her hand on his forehead.
Cydonea: I think she's worried about you.
Kale: this fellow is smart. She knew I was a bit under the weather today.
Cydonea: You shouldn't over-exert yourself. I am thankful for everyday that you give me medicince, but it won't do me help if you yourself got sick too. Here lend me your forehead.
As Cydonea placed her forehead onto Kale's forehead his face got extremely red, his eyes twirling to a confused elation and oveheated his brain to the point of shutting down.
Cydonea: Are you okay? Kale? Kale?! Kaaaaaaaaaaaaale!!

A Fractal Divide
Lesivar is a city in ascendancy. With recent innovations in magical crafting, the common people are experiencing a boom in comfort and wealth. The nobility, long used to being the stewards of knowledge and power, struggle to adapt to the new world in which they find themselves. A precarious balance has been maintained throughout, but forces stir beneath the surface threatening to send the city spiraling into chaos. This is my first attempt at writing anything longer than a short story, and I welcome any feedback or corrections. I'm posting this as I write, with each chapter going live upon completion. My current pace is about a chapter a day, which I expect to take my through the end of November. From there, I'm shooting for a chapter every two-three days until the book is completed, along with an editing pass of what is already up. I'm planning on three POV characters with unique insight into the story as it unfolds. Each chapter will contain only one POV. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
