《Author sent into his own story, now what do I do?》Chapter 8 - Reckon a cheesy business
Advertisement
I wake up from the bed in the middle of the night.
(This is so bad I really don't like stuff without technology)
I just give back the key to the receptionist and walk straight out of the inn. I take myself outside and try to see anything fun to do. I walk around to the city until I find a huge tent with lots armed guards that have magical weapons and equipment if I know what I am seeing. They are currently surrounding the tent and checking people who have passes to go inside the tent.
(This looks interesting, let me take a look inside)
I turn invisible and take a look inside the tent. What a find is probably pretty ordinary for a fantasy world....slaves.
(Okay it is slaves....and it other races to...I should get in touch with them)
I turn my head around to the person who looks like a ring master of this act. I check out his memory and find that this act is illegal but he bribe officials to not tell the king.
(Wow such cheese...this is common business I suppose...I guess I hang out for a little more)
I watch the slaves roll in. There are humans, dwarfs, vampires, beastman, elves, etc (mostly women and children). People mostly want slaves for around 500 gold coins while the most expensive is about 10,000 gold.
(Umm...saving these people would alright I guess...even so where am I suppose to do with them)
I view the other countries in the world and see how they react to the different reaces and who can take care of them.
(These countries should be good...ok let's do this)
Ringleader [And this is the end of the auction please come up to the stage to obtain your prize *booommm*]

I teleport outside then go down and crash down on the stage with a blue dragon ball z like aura with blue lighting surrounding me. The audience and the slaves are shock from my sudden apperance.
[Umm...prize? There is no prize. Only Death]
Ringleader [Who are you get off the stage, guards!]
10-12 guards came in to attack me but I created a 4 gauge shot railgun (shotgun + railgun) and point the barrel at them.
[This is going to be bloody]
I pull the trigger and a hole the size of Jeep is there. The guards are decimated by the shot railgun.
(Being a badass is great)
The ringleader who saw this walk backwards and trip himself. Far away from me there are increasingly more guards are coming towards me.
(Well there always this)
I take out the chain gun from Doom 4 and it change with the mobile turret mod. This change the chain gun with 6 barrels into two 3 barrel chain gun that can fire at a target with massive amount of firepower in a short period of time.
[Like some bullets!]
I turn on the gun and it rip most of the guards in half that are coming near me in probably a second or two. The guards in the background saw this and literally just drop all they have and just run away screaming.
(Maybe a bit of an overeaction but I got this guy)
I look at guy who is shivering and just peed his pants a few seconds ago wave his hand at me.
Ringleader [Wait, wait I am viscount Julius Markus I can help you have fame, wealth, power. I can do anything for you]
I take of the mask and reveal my face while holding the chain gun in my hand.

[How about no]
I drop my mask and raise my chaingun. I change the chaingun to a pretty long chainsaw, lower it then pull the string which create a frighting sound.
Julius [No, no, no please don't kill me. I do anything]
[Just shut the fuck up and die already]
I raise my chainsaw on him from his neck on his bottom of his body while he is screaming on top of his lungs.
(That was sort of fun maybe I do it again some time)
I look at the mess that I made and see nothing but dead guards and this viscount whatever.
(Well there is the end of that)
I turn around to see the scared slaves. I felt kind of sorry for them and made the shackles and cage disappear while instant recover them from there wounds. The slaves looks so surprise that I free them from their imprisoners. I look around and suddently though of something good.
[I am going to teleport you to your home countries or other countries if your home was destroyed. So when I go to where you live I am going to need a little company for the area that I am in okay]
Everybody strongly nod
[That's great, now off you go]
I teleport all of the slaves to their destinations and it is probably time to do some stuff before the tournament.

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14

Unto Dark
A man of cripplingly ill mind, bridled with the spirits and regrets of the past. Wade Pierce trudges through each day of his monochrome existence, only as penance for his sins. Such a man is abruptly decamped of this world courtesy of unapologetic forces, left stranded in a realm filled with unknowns. Armed only with his potent yet fragile intellect, Wade advances into this new abyss, as he attempts to rewrite the wrongs he has committed. Plagued by vile beasts, self-righteous Gods, and even his own seething darkness, the cracks in his mind begin to spread and a dangerous, newfound power bubbles beneath the surface. As the world grows darker day by day, this unfortunate journey begins ------------ I suppose rectitude dictates that I should state any themes worthy of noting here. First of all, this story is not a sunshiny one in the slightest. Since it is listed under the psychological and mature tag and not the comedy tag, that shouldn't be a surprise. Next, morbidity is a factor and general apathy towards human life. All of these are common themes amongst other writers, so nothing new there. The story also contains consensual, and non-consensual sexual activity, although I have tried to be as tasteful as is possible for someone like myself. Finally, the pace is drawn-out, and the language is magniloquent at times. Not to mention, the chapters are quite lengthy. Don't expect to read this halfheartedly... Other than that, enjoy the story... There's nothing more important than that...
