《Nano Mage》Chapter 16 Three force magic

I was paired up with a woman named Lucy and a young man named Ray. Lucy was proficient in earth magic, while ray was skilled in thermal magic. I on the other hand was adept in everything but lightning magic, well as far as I knew anyways, after all there are tons of magic in this world. I was just glade to have some breathing room from Shadow Void and Roaming Thunder. “So what can we make with our magic combined?” Lucy asked us. “Since I can use almost any element it is hard to come up with something. “How about a volcano then?” This was Ray’s suggestion. (A volcano huh?) “That could be entertaining I guess.”
After telling miss Rose our idea we were lead into a wide open field. “This should be a good location for your group, show me your skills.” Lucy created a trench with the aid of her earth magic. Then she created a river of sand in between. I created high pressure flames, which became a deep blue, in order to change that sand to liquid form. Ray rapidly adjusted the temperature until the sand became magma. Once the magma was flowing, Lucy constructed a large mountain with a hole at its peak. I then moved the magma with the aid of Lucy, in order for it to rise to the peak. Finally Ray caused the volcano to erupt, by quickly changing the temperature until pressure could build up.
Everyone was shielded from harm. Our teacher Maple Rose froze everything in an instant. Great magic had that kind of power. Everyone but myself were shivering, the low temperatures would do that to a person. Ray countered this with his thermal magic. “Very good. S+” (S+) That was an amazing grade, I did not even realize a school could use anything higher than an A+

Roaming Thunder
I was stuck in a group with two jerks. “Hey Primal vomit, what can we make with our magic?” Ugh, why has that nickname stuck? The magic these two had were earth magic and plant magic. It was hard to come up with something. I thought back to my tournament matches. There was a time my lightning created class from the sand. (Glass,+wood= house!) “How about we make a house?” For a moment these two were left speechless. Then they nodded.
Combining my lightning magic with blonde boy, we were able to produce glass. Blue hair was able to create many different things with his plant magic. The walls were mad from sturdy wood, and the roof had tree leaves as a cover. The ground was transformed into a quartz floor. The windows were a clear glass. It was troubling to make it clear, but blonde boy removed the impure minerals from it. We created a round sphere in front of the door, that could be pressed down, and when pressed, a small current of lightning would rub against a strange mineral, which created a clear sound. It was something like ding dong. I think they have something similar on the mythic continent named a doorbell. Blue hair went to get our teacher.
“S” That was the grade we had received for our work. Not bad it might have been lower if not for the doorbell thing.
Shadow Void
(Still no power up?) I even tried kissing him while he was still asleep, yet still nothing happened. Our teacher has tasked us with using three force magic. It is very hard to come up with something when my element is shadow. The girl next to me with the green hair is named Linda, she can use plant magic, and the boy with the fire red hair is named Bob. I think Linda may be part elf. Oh right Bob uses water magic. How can we come up with anything with this crude match up? “How about a bog?” Linda’s suggestion does not make a like of sense, after all none of us use earth magic. “I could degrade some plants to create a thick muck, and then have Bob mix his water with it to make it more fluid. Oh and then Shadow Void could create shadows to make it look deeper. This was the best we could come up with.

The break down of the plants went without a hitch. It was relatively easy for Linda to create a mush using berries and mushrooms, as well as leaves. With the aid of Bob’s water it real did create the feeling of being stuck in a bog. My Shadows indeed made it look deeper. It really did seem like it was flawed from the beginning. Our teacher walked by. “B-” I knew it was flawed. “You could have created a deep intricate forest, with eerier shadows in its depth.”
Silver
Our ice cavern was quite something. My childhood friend Rust was able to get into the academy. Although his last match was really a close call, if he would have lost I would be all alone here. We even ended up in the same tournament bracket. I beat him without mercy. Rust can use three different types of magic. Wind, earth, and harvest magic. Harvest magic is useless for this assignment though. His earth magic was used to fortify the cavern. The young woman next to him, named Ruby can create life with her magic, it is different from summon magic. Summon magic is different than all the magic at this school, which is why it has its own school. For life magic you are creating life itself from mana. It can even be used to create micro organisms. I heard micro organisms are very small creatures that they study on the Mythic continent. Because of Ruby’s magic this ice cave has its own echo system.
“A+” Our teacher informs us as she eats one of the animals within. Indeed Ruby’s magic can be used in a time of famine, the only problem is eating the food herself does not replenish her mana, although it does for everyone else. Her body would get the nutrients though. For the last little while those two have been embracing one another lovingly. (I guess Rust and Ruby are dating. How disgusting!)
Edge
I told my mates about the events that transpired during the camping trip. They laughed it off, but at least they are being cautious of Sylphire now. Cannon is highly skilled in earth magic, while Shard is able to reshape anything. With my metalwork magic, we created an elaborate castle. I even create a treasury with many different weapons inside small chest.
“S+” The grade the teacher gave me goes without saying, after all the castle could replace a town. I convince Cannon and Shard to carefully monitor Sylphire. (I will take down that monster, but I will need others to understand the depth of his power. How could I win with out support?)

The Undead Revolution
This was my first attempt at writing a story, in hiatus indefinitely. This story follows Silvy, half-elf, a rare race despised by both humans and elves. Having never met her father, the first years of her life were spent together with her mother, who had to leave her native village because of the blasphemy she had committed by giving birth to Silvy. At the age of eight, Silvy became an orphan and was left to fend for herself. Her mother had died of illness, Silvy’s life turning upside down: the child went from living in a modest but cozy home with poor but daily meals to live outside the walls in the slums, where crime was commonplace and food was scarce. Luck had yet to abandon her completely though, because a group of orphans like Silvy decided to help, integrating her into their group and teaching the tricks of the trade; that is, stealing and swindling. But fate had not yet finished playing with her. Kidnapped and frightened, her life will turn upside down again when she awakens as undead, but still able to think clearly.

Not to mention all the different franchises and characters I am going to mention, I don't own a single one of these nor do I claim to by writing this, I just want people to have something to enjoy since I am drained on my other work.I hope you enjoy, and to say it right off the bat since this is something that upsets me, I don't mind if you're critical of the work, but jesus, don't be rude. I love criticism but I hate people that go and put a 1 star with no reason, but if you put 1 star and give me a good reason then I'll use it to grow as an author! Thanks everyone! Hope you enjoy the story!

A Long Refrain
September, in the Continuate: For most students living in the Third Division, the month's arrival usually means the start of a new school year. But not so for one particular freshman, whose first month at college seems to never end—literally. Set during the 20th year of the nation's Rectification Era, A Long Refrain follows Melody Quick’s attempts to escape from the month-long time loop she's found herself trapped in. Her journey, which starts in the capital city of Somnhaven, will take her across the vast expanse of land once known as Circadia, whose forgotten histories, ancient secrets and eccentric inhabitants could hold the key to discovering the true nature of the loop and the role she herself plays within it. However, the more she learns, the more cruel truths she must face: Will she really be able to handle the awful reality behind the loop, and all that it entails? And will those very same answers she's found be enough to not only break her free from the loop, but to also protect the people she holds dear? (A-and from what, exactly ...?)

The Eternal Vigil
The year is 2220, a time when governments and nation-states are slowly becoming a thing of the past. Instead, all prominent parts of human society are now organizing around the commands of three great Artificial Intelligences, owned and operated by the world's largest corporation. World peace has been achieved, and the very word 'politics' has disappeared from people's lips. Religion has largely disappeared, replaced in some parts by worshipping of the great AIs, but mostly substituted by a devotion to material goods and faith in the market. There is now a general consensus that the best form of government has been found. No, it is not democracy, nor is it autocracy or oligarchy. Instead, it is technocracy - rule by the learned, the intelligent, and the skilled. And who are more learned, intelligent, and skilled than the great AIs? Exactly, no one. The AIs will correct some market failures once in a while, but shall otherwise let the market be free. After all, the freer the market, the freer the people. Some may question how society advanced to this stage, but that is all they will do - question. Because they will not find answers, for history is no longer taught anywhere. After all, it is not a practical subject. One cannot get a decently paying job with a history degree. Society doesn't have any time for people to idly ponder about the past. No, this is a practical society of practical people: engineers, doctors, lawyers, developers, managers, bankers, soldiers, and the such. My name is Aiden Scivit and I used to be one such practical man: minding my own business, doing my job, with the faith that hard work will always be rewarded by the market...and that politics and philosophy were things thought of by idly people who leech off society. But this all changed, and here is my story, my history. Just because the stories of ages long past have been erased, does not mean that a brand new beginning cannot be created. The story is already finished but I still need to do some editing so a chapter should be released each day for a month. It is a bit political, as you can probably tell by the introduction, so there is that (it will low-key read like a philosophy dump 10% of the time, so really it's like Atlas Shrugged but liberal and worse lol). Also, I actually wrote this in grade 10 as part of my MYP Personal Project, and recently touched up on it for online publication. Finally, if you find the writing style passable and are interested in my other works, check out the one in the link below. It is a fantasy set in the Ancient Greek world, and is completed and uploaded in full: https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/35099/the-oresteia-modernized
