《Nano Mage》Chapter 13 Quarrel

My heart was throbbing wildly. (How should I answer?) While I was thinking that Shadow Void butted in.”Leave him alone!” His hand was covered in a layer of shadow and he began to make a fist. Roaming Thunder was completely silent. She had a bewildered expression on her face. Her eyes kept altering between blinking repeatedly, and not blinking at all. Autumn’s expression mad chills run down my spine. (Where have I seen that look before?) Sharp swords were constructed and now floated around edge. These weapons were inching closer to me with each passing second. Silver was slowly backing away, and as she did, the grass was being coated in a thin layer of frost.
I breathed in to calm my nerves. While taking in my breath, everyone else stopped theirs. Everyone but Shadow Void that is. “It was an adrenalin rush.” I blurted out the fist thing that came to mind. No one but that. “Um lets take the dragon corpse and go back to the campsite.” Even with them in this state of mind, it was better to do something to get their minds off it for a little while at least.
Slowly we dragged the dragon’s corpse back to our camping site. “Should we move way from the mountain?” Shadow Void asked everyone. “How about we move away from Sylphire?” Shadow Void slapped Silver across the cheek, while coating his hand in a thin layer of Shadow. “He is our comrade, and he also just saved our lives.” Roaming Thunder has yet to say a word, and just keeps staring at me. She stared at me before, but this feels different. Edge is giving off an aura of a murderer. As for Autumn? (Wait where is Autumn?) I have a very bad feeling.

(Why is a dragon here?) As I wondered this Sylphire began to give out orders. I complied to these orders. What he was saying made a lot of sense. The battle was going relatively well, until it took a bad turn, at least that is what should have happened. After having his arm bitten, Sylphire suddenly changed. I heard a cracking as he twisted one of the dragons arms. (That is not possible?) The next thing I knew the dragon had a huge dent in its check. In the next couple of minutes I felt something warm and wet land on my dress. My blue dress was now turning purple. Earlier I heard some sort of grinding noise. (Wait this is blood!) The dragon suddenly collapsed to the ground. Staring at the dragon and then back to Sylphire I asked. “Sylphire just what are you?” My question was harmonized by the voices of the others asking the same question.
While everyone was quarreling, I was deep in thought. I was recalling the days back in the tamers valley. Sometimes we would find an unusual monster. We would study its strength by sending in strong beast to see how it would fair. Some displayed remarkable skills. I remember there was a wolf who after fighting with a thunder bird learned to use lightning magic. (What would Sylphire be capable of if pushed?) I smirk crept along my face as I was thinking this. Was it my imagination or did Sylphire just shutter as I was thinking this?
Currently I wanted to test out that Idea. I would not try to find another dragon, that would just end my life. (A here it is!)
Sylphire
I could hear something far off in the distance. (Was someone running?) It sounded like footsteps, but there were six of them. Four lumped together, and two ahead of it. “Help thunder boar!” Autumn was running towards the campsite. I front of my eyes was a boar, but it had a horn like a rhino, that horn was in the shape of a blade. As specks of purple began to cover it, I began to feel dizzy. In the next instant lightning shot into the sky, then I passed out.

When I woke up Autumn was leaning over my face. In the next instant I did something unexpected, I kissed her. Her face became bright red. After hearing a strange sound,Autumn was suddenly unconscious. Behind her stood Shadow Void and Roaming Thunder. “What was that sound just now?” The two of them responded. “Nothing!” “Ouch!” A slight pain like a mosquito bite made its way to my neck. A large pool of blood started to form near my body. “Kill it before it kills us!” Edge was saying something strange. As a flood of black and purple engulfed the area around Edge, I once again passed out.
I woke up again, but next to me were to unconscious people. Edge and Autumn. (Autumn still hasn’t woken up yet huh?) Wait why does my nose feel cold? Looking around I noticed Silver who was currently poking my body. Each place she pocked I felt a winter chill. (Oh frost magic!)
Silver was shoved to the side by both Shadow Void and Roaming Thunder. They each leaned in closer while trying to push the other aside. A sudden tingle vibrated on my lips. (Huh?) the first one felt uncomfortable, but the second seemed more natural. It was then that I clued in. They both just kissed me.
