《Project Felia》Chapter 18 - What is Real?

“Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!” Nora was crying as she gave us hugs.
“Words cannot express my gratitude!” She backed of a little with eyes filled with joy and tears.
“Glad we could help Nora! Sometimes good deeds are worth more then any payment”
“I am not sure how I can repay you guys, you saved me from certain death.” Jason seemed obligated.
“You can stay here with your mother and live a safe life, we will leave this place within tomorrow, we got enough money from killing some of the wanted bandits so money is not an issue, please take good care of yourself, see you around.” I turned around and went over to the inn.
“Thank you!” Both Nora and Jason bowed.
“Bye bye!” All three of us said at the same time.
“Oy oy oy, you don’t think we left too soon?” Cortez asked me as he put his shoulder on my shoulder. He could see the side of my face I did not want him to see. Bloodlust.
“You alright? Sky, whats the matter?” I was shuck out of the bloodlust.
“No, I am not fine and we are not done. We are heading back to free the rest of the slaves and kill every last one of those bandit scums left!” the flashbacks didn’t stop, I couldn’t forgot those eyes, no hope, no soul, only death.
“What? Are we going back?” Elisa overheard.
“Seems like it, well I am not really tired, the heals was really effective. I am ready to go when you guys are.” Cortez seemed a bit laid back about it.
“This time lets get some horses and charge right in! There shouldn’t be many left, they might be transporting the slaves as we speak!” We ran to the outskirt of the city and rented some horses.

“Sure you remember the way? I can always look at my map again.” Elisa didn’t want to get lost.
"You sure we should charge right in? i mean we could probably do something like last time!" Cortez was worried i could hear it.
"I will stealth in, Cortez stay on the horse and shot as many as you can see and Elisa, throw slow flasks and deal some damage if you can or stay by our side, we have already finished off the higher ranks of the camp. This should be easy!"
I could feel the bloodlust clouding my judgment, but i didn’t care.
" Who are those guys?" Elisa spotted some white robed people.
“I don’t know, lets keep our course.” Who were those mysterious people?
We rode our horses as fast as we could through the thick forest, I could see the camp up a head, but there was something glowing from through the trees. It came from the camp!
“What is going on here!?” The whole camp was burning!
“Was this the cause of the white robed people?” we were all struck by the warm air dashing our faces.
“Or, did they burn it down themselves?” Cortez jumped of his horse and started sniffing around.
“No, wait, seems like someone’s been here, not the bandits or us I can smell the difference, something familiar. Where have I smelled this scent before?” Cortez got a grim facial expression.
“This is similar to Nort`s smell.” Elisa seemed confused.
“Who is Nort?” I couldn’t speak, did Nort do this?
“Nort was his guardian when he first spawned here, he helped him out and gave him tips how to survive.” My eyes was wide open in shock, I couldn’t close them.

“I have been here for I while and I didn’t have a guardian, but I managed on my own, but why would a guardian do this?” Elisa was feeling a bit scared.
“I don’t know, but for now don’t trust the guardian angels! We will venture on and level, one day I will find him and ask him myself! Let’s head back and sleep, tomorrow we leave!”
This world really isn’t much different. No one can be trusted! I was a fool, the slightest sign of comfort and I was sucked right in to it. If I wasn’t as lucky with Cortez he could have easily sniped me off, its been a long time now and I think I can trust him fully, but Elisa? I don’t know much about her, but she is support speced, cant be any dangerous...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We got back to town.
“Shall we eat something before we go to sleep?” Elisa pointed at a restaurant as we were headed for the inn.
“I am actually hungry and I got enough mesetas now, Sky you with us?” My stomach rumbled.
“ Guess that settles it then!” Elisa smiled and both laughed a little, it was a bit embarrassing.
We headed to the restaurant.
“Elisa, how much do you eat?” Elisa had more then me and Cortez times two!
“How do you remain so fit?” I had to ask.
“What can I say? These flask do wonders!” She is lvl 5 and has a potion that makes her not gain weight? I’m not going to bother to ask, I could see Cortezes face, he was looking right at me thinking the same think.
“Elisa, tell us, how long have you been here?” I was the first to start a conversation because everyone else were busy eating like savages.
“I simply chose to live here, I had enough of the whole military bunker thing so I just signed up and here I am” She took another big bite.
“You also lived in a bunker? I do too!” now I could take a bite.
“I wouldn’t call it a living, it was a really strict place and the supplies was really bad, we were skinny and it was like a prison really.” She didn’t seem to care about much about her real life anymore, she said shes been here for a while so I wont dig any further, she probably want to adventure now that she has been living here, she trusts us so much? She seems really nice, but it might be too good to be true.
“Is that so?” I looked at Cortez, he finished eating.
“So tell me Elisa,*Burp* you don’t have any more of those weight loss flasks?” Cortez fell to the ground as his stomach was thrice the size!
“Are you ok man? You don’t look so good!” Did he fall asleep? Literally? Maybe we didnt think the same thing.
