《A Technomaniac in Another World (Prototype)》Chapter 48 - The Meeting

Although I asked who they were, they didn't answer right away. Their eyes were glued to the girl I just put on the couch.
“Is that… The princess?”
“My sister?”
“You’re her sister…”
Extra. Extra. Ayla has a sister! Honestly, I couldn't see any similarity. The girl who, called Ayla a sister, had no horn. I mean, she's a hybrid between a gorgon and a vampire, not Oni and a vampire. She has green hair, not like Amara's, which is emerald green, but dark green hair. She also has golden eyes, having a beautiful combination with her hair color.
“What did you do to her?” – Vermivia
“Nothing that interests you.” – Kenji
“She, is my sister.” She says with conviction.
“Oh really? Sounds fascinating, tell me more.” I said sarcastically.
“Milady, don’t waste your time with such an individual.” – Sirius
“And you are the bastard who kidnapped Yumi-Sensei, and Naomi-san.” Sirius glares at me. “Oh, don’t get me wrong. I’m not the one who’s gonna deal with you. She will.” I point towards Suzuki, who just entered the room.
“So he’s the one?” She had her hands on her Katana.
“Yeah, but let’s not kill him right now. He might be useful.”
“You say so, like you’ll be able to kill me.”
“I fought 2 vampires up till now. And honestly speaking? Elite ones are really tough. But it isn’t like you guys are invincible.” I say so, with a grin on my face. “So? What you guys want?”
I stop the jokes, and ask, going straight to the point. I have plans to defeat Victor, but… let's say he's really a powerhouse.
Honestly, just by entering the fortress's throne room, I had chills all over my body. And even more so when I was able to see Victor's STATUS.
This, was his STATUS. Really scary though.
–STATUS–
Name: Victor le Gant Species: Pure Vampire (Lord) Age: 1’352 Years Danger Rank: SSS-Rank LVL: 1’970 / ??? SP: 165’916 HP: 24’035’120 / ??? MP: 2’160’320 / ??? STR: 620’000 INT: 378’320 CON: 185’670 AGI: 210’300 DEX: 340’934 LUK: ???
Yep! Your STATUS is the tallest of all I have faced so far. But ... looking at his STATUS, something seemed ... strange. It was as if the STATUS I just saw was just a mirage, an illusion. Then, while Ayla struggled with her dear father, Victor's STATUS changed. The STATUS was still high, but it changed to a much lower STATUS. I think, what? Divided by 2?
“We won’t speak if you not talk about my sister.”
“Well, then we’ll be taking our leave.”
After being pulled back from my thoughts, I simply said that. I was about to grab Ayla, and get out, but this girl, Vermivia, started talking.
“Fine!” She sighed, and I sit down on the chair right in front of her. “We were coming back here, when we felt an unfamiliar scent. In this case, of her.” She pointed at Suzuki.
“You bathed right, Suzuki?”
“Shut up, Kenji.” She pouted.
“After noticing that, we entered in contact with her, and, after she said one of her companions was about to face the Vampire Lord Victor, we expected to still talk to you, before you died. I did not expect for that to be literally a few minutes ago.”
“I mean, anyone would feel like that.” I say shrugging. “But I didn’t gone there to face him. And why would you simply state what I would do, Suzuki? You can’t simply say those thing to anyone on the streets!” I’m right though. Why she said those words? “And you got something wrong, girl. I did go there to acquire info on him. Your little sister, on the other hand, was there to kill him. Good thing I got some info.”

“What do you mean?” – Sirius
“I got a glimpse on his STATUS.”
“Looks like you knew you wouldn’t be able to defeat my father.” – Vermivia
“I’m not a mindless idiot. Your sister on the other hand…” I trailed off.
After explaining that she simply ignored everything, not even acquiring information prior to an attack, she was beaten, and now we were here.
“Why she has a slave collar?” Vermivia asked in clear contempt.
“Correction. It is a contract collar.”
“What’s the difference?” – Sirius
“Well, it simply is a contract. That’s it.” They didn’t understood. “Okay, consider it like a 2-way contract. We both agreed on killing Victor. She wanted to do that with her own hands, but! She would do as such, following my orders. Which she didn’t today.”
“And you knocked her out. Knowing that defeating my father wasn’t a good idea.”
“Yep! You’re clever than her.”
We kept talking about other things. Mainly, what were her plans, and why she contacted us.
“First, let me introduce myself. I am the daughter of the Vampire Lord Victor le Gant, and the Golden Gorgon, Radreiale Zarivia, Vermivia le Gant. And this is my servant, Sirius.”
“A pleasure.” Sirius nodded with his head.
“Name’s Kenji. The Technological Anarchist.”
“Suzuki Mari.”
“Lucy.”
“Amara.”
(Kasumi.)
In one point, Amara and Lucy were back. Amara was with her guard up, and Lucy was glaring at these 2.
“So? What exactly you REALLY want, Vermivia-san?”
“Okay. So let me get this straight.” The conversation was so shocking long~ “You need help in making this coup to be true, and want our help.”
“Yes… You… really, resumed everything.”
“I didn’t need to know about your affairs with your family, thank you.”
The conversation was simply so long, because Vermivia started talking about her mother and father problems. Don’t get me wrong, knowing that her mother, Radreiale, was the Sinner of Lust, was totes fine, but I didn’t need to know that she was a slut, going around, making some ‘Personal Services’ to the men. That, was unnecessary.
Her father, on the other hand? Was… kinda disappointing. Why? Cause, let’s be honest. Why would I need to know about him and his Daughter, being completely different?
I already could get a glimpse of that. Vermivia, talks politely, even when irritated. While she does let her emotions appear on the surface, she still seems like someone to be reasoned with.
Victor on the other hand… yeah, he’s a jerk. He didn’t cared if Ayla was back, nor did he cared about what she would do. I mean, someone with power wouldn’t do so too, but he was strange. Not only that, but he’s the Vampire Lord, cause he has been killing and taking the bloodlines of people that are interesting to him. Killing, I don’t have much to talk, a king must do its best to protect its title. But not Victor. He’s pretty much like Goldguard. He’s a ruler, but not a king.
I wanted to be sure about one other thing, so I used my Sin and Virtue Detection I had used on the Imperial Capital before. And what you know, there is 2 Sinners. No Virtuous.
One, is Vermivia’s mother, Radreiale. And she has the Lust sin like it was mentioned. While the other one! Is! You guessed, Victor. He has the Greed sin. Using Scan I took a quick glance at what the 2 sins did.
Well, they were quite simple, yet had strong effects.

First, Lust. Albeit you might think: Well, it’s Lust, so it’s related to Sex, right? Not really. It’s very different than that. But yes, it has some relation to Sex too.
Lust, is more related to ‘The Desire of the owner’. Other than that, the skill would make the user acquire other skills too, such as Desire Empowerment, which allowed the Sin bearer, to make get stronger, based on the desire it had. It also made possible for the person to get stronger from the desire of others too.
It also gave Bewitching Magic, Absolute Beauty, and lastly, Desire Enhancement. Those were only a few, but they were the most specific ones. Others were, kind strange… Like Indomitable Lust. I won’t enter in much detail, just know that it isn’t a nice thing.
You can say these skills aren’t all that bad, but… It is. Verily much so. Not only that, but having the skill itself, already allows the person to break the limits of their STATUS. Anyone that has the Sin and Virtues, have that as a plus.
Now, Greed is… Actually, kinda lame. First of all, the Skill simply makes the user LUK stat, immeasurable. Secondly, it allows the user, to expend 50% less SP to acquire skills, and 50% more SP is gained when finishing an enemy. You might think: What’s wrong with that? Well, the last one is the main problem.
► Bloodline Absorption ◄
This skill, allows one to absorb people’s family bloodlines, and modify them according to the user. While it does absorb bloodlines, it doesn’t mean the bloodline will keep being the same.
Bloodlines are something unique, not associated to the STATUS, so it won’t appear there. So, if the user absorbs a bloodline, the bloodline will change, no matter what, to fit its new owner.
That, explained a few things.
Ayla did informed that her father absorbed her mother’s bloodline. She said that, her mother’s bloodline, was simply connect itself to the Nether-realm and she would become stronger. And Vermivia here, talked about that too.
“Father has the bloodline he stole from Ayla-nee-chan’s mother. He can connect himself to the Nether-realm, but needs portals to do that.” She called Ayla nee-chan… how cute~
“So, you’re saying that if we destroy the portals…”
“Father will be severely weakened.”
When she said that, now I could see myself defeating that guy.
“That looks to be good news to you, but…” She started.
“You don’t know the location of the portals.”
Vermivia nodded to my words, and sighed. She then kept talking.
“Yes. We only know one, which, well, it’s plain in site. It’s right behind the fortress. Not only that, but… We don’t know how many there are.”
“If I was him, I would open as much portals as I could, but it wouldn’t be really wise.” I stopped, and thought over it. “Wait. He would need the portals to be close to him, right? Do you have a map of the city?”
She ordered Sirius, and he got to one of the rooms. When he got back, he had a rolled big paper in hands, and put on the table, unfolding it, and the map of the city was in my sight.
I activated Scan, and the entire map was recorded on it.
“You can store it now.”
I said, and looked to the table where the map was just a while ago.
“What did you do?”
“I scanned the map, and have it recorded on my brain. If what you said is truth, then I think there’s a pattern here.”
The fortress, was located right at the middle of the entire city. The portal she talked about, was a little ways away from the fortress.
What I was doing, was cross references of the map, and trying to pin point the other portal locations. But that was to no avail. The entire map was a mess. There wasn’t anything to pin point the locations of the portals. Unless…
“The portals are underground.”
“That makes sense. But… yes. It makes sense now. The catacombs.”
“Why vampire cities always have catacombs? Is it a staple now?” I ask exasperated.
“Uh… My father stopped everyone from entering the catacombs, sadly. Only authorized people may enter those places.”
“So he’s hiding the portals there. Nice. Or not.” I start saying with a little hint of hope, but that is crushed right after.
“Why it isn’t nice?”
“Vermivia-san. Catacombs are massive. Even if the portals do indeed are there, finding them will be a really big problem.” I say with a sure voice.
“Not to me.” And Sirius just got to interrupt.
“I don’t wanna hear something from the bastard that kidnapped Sensei and Naomi-san.” I shoot a glare to him. “And when all of this is over. I’m gonna take Naomi-san and Sensei back.”
“Just try.” He said, oozing out a bit of Bloodlust.
“Oh, I sure will.” And I finished by oozing a bit of my Killing Instinct. He widened his eyes, but stopped his Bloodlust.
“So? What you plan on doing?”
I activated my left eye, projecting a copy of the map that was just shown to me. I put a mark on top of the Fortress, and on the portal at the back of it.
“Where are the passageways to the catacombs located?”
“Here. Here. Here. And here.”
“4 Passageways. That narrows the path we can take.”
Marking the passageways as green, I start glancing at the entire map again. This time, I take another approach.
“There may have other passageways. Probably, they are not know by the people. And probably you too.”
“Why would father do that?”
“Think about it. You are the main figure of this entire coup. Do you really think your father would let someone like that, to know about his plans?”
“No. He would create a countermeasure.”
“You’re smart. So, if he needs access to the Nether-Realm portals, that means he can’t have them in random positions.”
“He needs the portals in an organized manner. With it, the portals won’t be able to interfere with each other, and instead of powering my father up, they would power him down!”
That’s why she’s the main image of the coup. She’s smart, and knows about her stuff.
“Exactly.”
“But what manner would he organize the portals?” – Sirius
“Simple. In a circle.”
“Like a magic circle.” – Vermivia
“So, we’ll be staying here the next few days. I’ll be making a device that will allow you girls into-”
“Hng! My head…”
Just as I was about to start to designate the plans to the girls, Ayla’s voice resonated around. We glanced at her, and she was gripping her head, trying to see her surroundings.
She widened her eyes, and started shouting.
“WHY YOU BROUGHT ME HERE?! WE COULD-!” Before she could finish, however…
“WE COULD WHAT?! DIED?! DO ME A FAVOR, AND STOP WITH YOUR WHINING!” I stop to breathe some air. “YOUR LITTLE ACTIONS TODAY, ALMOST COSTED THE ENTIRE PLAN TO GO TO HELL! AND YOU! SAY THAT WE COULD KILL THAT GUY?! HA! YOU’RE NOTHING MORE THAN DAYDREAMING!”
“YOU DON’T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT IT! IF YOU HELPED, THEN-!”
“NOTHING WOULD COME OUT OF IT!” I say, finishing the shouting section. “That guy is powerful enough, that he could wipe the floor with all of our faces. Did you knew? That the bloodline that your father stole from your mother, allows him to get super strong? Did you? DID YOU?!”
She looks down, clenching her fists, making some blood come out.
“Did you remember what we talk about back in the ruins?” She flinches. “You. Ayla. Would follow my orders, and then! We would defeat your father. But look what happened? You disobeyed such contract. And was stupid enough, that you didn’t realized, that thanks to that, your STATUS were halved!”
“Then-!”
“I’m not finished yet. You’re fool enough to jump into the monster’s den, without a sure plan. Your father is strong enough to fight all of us together. But thanks to a good info source, I’ll be able to weaken it, for the next battle. One that I’m keen to let you out of it.”
“YOU CAN’T! WE HAD A DEAL!”
“And such deal, was really going well, if not for your stubbornness. Now, you gonna follow my orders, and if you disobey, once more, you can count yourself out of the battle. Do you understand?”
I finish speaking, and glaring at her. She nods slowly.
“Good. Now, the next few days, I’ll be making a device for you girls. They’re like my Cloaking Mode. Unfortunately, it won’t be exactly like mine.” I say, and sigh. “Can you provide some materials? Or better, I can buy them.”
“Uh… Sure…” Vermivia says, nodding and looking astonished.

How did she come to suspect him? Her own story contains many pages which were re-written, and the one who has access to it is both herself and her husband. Therefore, she searches for answers, and has been given the story titled The Devil King in order to find that which she desires. Even if the cost is to read the whole book before she could act fully.
