《Worldbreaking》Chapter 12.5 - Something Else

A silhouette breathed a sigh of relief. They had always gotten nervous whenever there was a meeting between all of the members. They were now the only person remaining in a small, dark room that only had a round table and five chairs within. The person recalled a memory, from when they had asked the leader a question.
“My reason for hating demons?” the leader asked back.
“Well, let’s see… I think it was about a century ago?” the leader mused.
“At the time, I had only been a mere adventurer roaming the land. I had saved a young girl back then, a demon. We fell in love, married, and settled down in her small village,” he spoke reminiscently.
“Naturally, there was no small amount of discrimination towards us for me being a human, but nevertheless, it was bearable with our love for one another,” the leader made a strange, almost crazed, smile.
“Eventually, the village experienced a famine, and when I had gone out hunting, the village had blamed us as the cause. She was accused of having brought bad luck unto the village by marrying me. She was publicly stoned and tortured to set an example,” he continued.
“When I had returned from my hunt, I was barely able to make it in time to hear her last words. She was screaming my name. She was screaming my name not in an effort for help. She was cursing my name, and cursing me for the misfortune I had brought onto her,” the leader laughed as he remembered.
“I slaughtered the entire village in my rage after that. Demons are simply vile beings that pollute the world. What are demons but vermin?” he asked rhetorically.
“Now, I ask the same to you. What are your reasons for hating demons?” this time, the leader asked me seriously.

The silhouette visibly shivered. They had seen the mad glint in the leader’s eyes when he had narrated the tale. The level of hatred and insanity in his words was beyond comprehension.
In the recent meeting, the person had felt something off about the leader. The leader was no longer within the realm of humans and immortals, he had entered a realm that had transcended them entirely. He was no longer restricted to the known tiers of power. A being that had reached out of the scope of the S rank. He had become something else.
The person had now been a part of Paragon as a spy for a few decades and felt that they now had sufficient information on each of the members. The person was determined. They decided that it was soon time to make their move. Someone had to put a stop to the psychotic ideals of Paragon, and that person felt like they were the only one who could do it.
Spoiler : Alistair: Has gotten "rid of" all the demons on one of the continents (seemingly showing that he is willing to exterminate? all the demons on a continent)
Haku: Has warned the leader of the "movements of demons on one of the continents" (seemingly warning the guild of the threat of a new Demon King on a continent)
Julius: Has suggested to invite Hope as a "new member" to replace Volheilm (seemingly showing that he wants to strengthen Paragon)
Schwarz: Has been asked "his opinion," by the leader (seemingly showing that the leader trusts him or values his opinion)

A thought experiment gone out of control, inspired by kosnik4's popular story, Magic-Smithing. What would life be like for someone else who was transported to the world inside Magic-Smithing? Someone who wasn't as prone to encounter incresasingly dangerous people, whose life was a little less chaotic? What if this person was content with a simple life of farming? Tending to the plants, sowing seeds, and reaping a great harvest at the end of the year. Of course, he's also a data scientist, so he can't help but squeeze out the maximum possible efficiency of his time and the potential of his attributes. Who doesn't make excel spreadsheets in their spare time? This is a slightly more "Slice of Life" esque version of kosnik4's story. Hopefully lighthearted, funny, and as enjoyable to read as it is thinking of increasingly ridiculous skill progressions. Thanks to kosnik4 and Magic-Smithing for providing fertile grounds for creativity to thrive. NOTE: THIS IS A FAN FICTION, AND ALL INTELLECTUAL RIGHTS BELONG TO KOSNIK4. I'm a patron of his story, and love reading about what happens next in his story. I've tried my best to be as accurate to his canon science as possible, though it's not 100% feasible. Afterall, the story isn't even done yet! My plan for the releases is to release a single chapter a day until 3/7, and then release 4 chapters a week on M, W, F, & Sat. P.S. If anyone can figure out what the EXACT formula for Level XP is, I'd love to hear it. I'm starting to doubt my math and excel capabilities. I have an equation that is fairly accurate and stays close to his values, but not exactly the same.

The story of a girl who finds her life is not what she wanted. So she gets another one. Schedule: Story has been completed. Book One is available free on Amazon and EPUB. Books Two to Five are out now. Final Book out soon. Chapters will be around 500-1000 words. This will not change so if you don't like reading very short chapters wait till the end of the week or even end of the month. This many chapters a week isn't easy to pull off so please bear that in mind. This is a VRMMORPG story, but the ones I've read tend to use VR as an excuse to get into a fantasy world and then don't really play up the game aspect other than pulling up a status screen every now and then. To me, MMOs are about more than the fantasy setting. Bugs, exploits, devs who don't understand their own game, OP classes, over the top nerfs, p2w, ridiculous RNG, cash shop fiasco, lockboxes, raging players, broken mechanics, limited bag space, tedious crafting and above all that, a company trying to squeeze money out if its playerbase while pretending they're just in the business of having fun. Of course, then there's the orcs and elves. This story is about finding yourself in a completely immersive fantasy game, but it's also about what a game like that would really be like.
