Vulpine Perspective
Ever since I met master my life has been better. He always patted my head and fed me. But, lately master has been neglecting me he also been getting injured even more protecting some women and it is making me have a feeling of anger and something else. When he was knocked unconscious after fighting the wyvern I was by his side until I was so exhausted I fell unconscious. When he woke up he praised me and then the Canines the helped him he then fed all of us while cooking with one hand. What happened next made me almost lash out on the elves. The one I assumed to be the leader kicked us out of our cave we have been living in. Bellator agreed then talked to me.
This place is hindering our progress and they do not want us here. (Bellator)
He said while looking sad. When he said that and I saw his face it filled me with more rage I ever felt. I wanted to go out there and start killing all of them but, I stopped myself because, I knew I would disappoint my if I did but, know I’m going to act more spoiled as punishment.
Bellator Perspective
It has been a day since we started the trip deeper into the forest and since we left Trinity has been or been tried to cling to my arm. Currently I am wearing my training armor with my regular armor on top. Vulpine is wearing the wyvern armor I made for her this covers her head her arms and legs and her back. The elf guy that I did not forget the name of is wearing leather armor. Trinity is also wearing armor but, it is to revealing. I am not a dense person even though I have that weird title I know she likes me a lot but, her father hates me. I am also not a very trusting person but, if you earn my trust if you need my help I will come as fast as I can to your aid. So far only Vulpine, The Canines, and a female dyrad gained my trust. On the topic of the dryad she disappeared recently without a word so I could not say good bye. While on my train of thought both of the girls in our group spoke up at the same time.

Bellator honey who are you thinking of. (Trinity)
Master who are you thinking of. (Vulpine)
They both said this while demons wearing mask and wielding knives behind them. If I was a dense main character I would have said something about the dryad but, I’m not so I am at an impasse here. Do I lie to them and ruin my façade or do I tell them the truth and keep the act up. I think I should keep the façade up nothing wrong will happen later if I act dense.
I am thinking about my friend I did not say goodbye to. (Bellator)
The demon behind Trinity starts to disappear but, the one behind Vulpine eye behind the mask are glowing with a red light. What Vulpine says, next makes cold sweat run down that back.
Is it that Female Dryad who came by to eat so often (Vulpine)
Yes. (Bellator)
It may seem like I am calm but, in my mind I am freaking out. The masked demon maiden came back even more visual behind Trinity but, the elf guy with us became my savior.
We are here past the border. (Elf Man)
When the elf said that Trinity demon vanished and she got teary eyed. I walked up to her patted her head.
I guess this is where we part ways. (Bellator)
I then grabbed Vulpine and dashed into the forest. After a while Vulpine squirmed out of my grip.
Master why did you run. (Vulpine)
Sometimes a man needs run with all his might in one direction. (Bellator)
She looked at me suspiciously but, she shrugged and followed me. After I while we saw a castle in the distance. I decided to move to it to buy more ingredients and sell my armor/food again. As I walked by I noticed a long line so I waited. I then noticed some men that were wearing rough leather armor starting to talk to some ladies wearing some armor.

BODY&SHADOW
AN ILLUSTRATED NOVEL • UPDATES TUESDAY AND FRIDAY In a time before living memory, the King Dragon of the Void watched the world and realized there was a crack. He realized that humanity was destroying the rock upon which they lived; they leaked life’s code into the churning chaos. At first the change was imperceptible: nanites overtook microorganisms, bacteria, viruses, amoebas. Insects became increasingly inorganic; birds and lizards followed soon after. Even humans were infected by their own advances, cell by cell, till there was not a person left on earth who wasn’t at least part synthetic, the product of a prior generation’s carelessness. The world’s population was ravaged by mechanical viruses with no vaccines; they were mercilessly overtaken by bacteria that knew no death. Soon, most of the planet was empty and only a handful remained who remembered the hedonist realm they came from; only a few were left who remembered what the world looked like when their buildings touched the sky. The King Dragon of the Void watched the rock turn. He watched humans cower as the Old World fell down around them; watched their great monuments crumble into dusty ruins; watched their codes become precious, ancient gem memories forged under the crushing pressure of so many fallen stones. The world has spun many times around the sun since chaos swallowed man whole. It is a simpler time than the one that died out, but the people now are not immune to the folly of the people before. There is old code everywhere: in the water, in the air, in the trees. The heart of man has been replaced by power cores, many of which are hard-coded with preternatural abilities—when they die, an esoteric mountain sect collects their cores and stores them in their hollow mountain home to preserve the sanctity and dignity of human death. They’ve learned to harness artifacts of the old world, gemstones full of codes their nanite infused bodies can parse as spells imbuing their users with great power; they inlay them into their bodies, into their skins, connected to their cores by copper conduit and gold tracers; they dress themselves in tattoos to advertise their prowess; they battle for relics in arenas, fight for them in the open world wherever they are found. The King Dragon of the Void watches the rock turn and wonders: when will this hunger finally make the rock stop spinning? WELCOME TO FANXING CITY … Twenty-five years ago, Fanxing City and the surrounding lands were commanded by the mad King Zao Beiguan. For many years, the King hoarded wealth, artifacts, food; he demanded tribute from a people already taxed to the edges of their existence and expected they be happy with their circumstances. Noncompliance was often punished harshly, bodies displayed proudly on Fanxing’s streets as a warning, from the city gates to the Zao palace’s golden doors. The youths of several prominent clans came together to overthrow the tyrant and made names for themselves as legendary heroes across the land: Tian, Ren, Feng, Gui, Ma, and Zhenxi. Even wanderers from the Luanshi sect descended from Yunji mountain to aid the rebellion. When the dust settled after three years, Tian Yunyong ascended the throne of Fanxing and swore to honour his slain father’s memory, and has maintained Fanxing’s peace with generosity and mercy where fear and cruelty once reigned.
