There are many Gods that watch over, guide and protect the world of Abraitera. Some just came to be, born from the energies of the universe, forming a conscientiousness initially with any personality, as they live and learn a personality forms, others were the offspring of gods and finally there are the mortals who ascended to god hood. There are many stages that gods can climb as they gain power and understanding of the universe, but only mortals can become Demi Gods.

When a mortal is born fate gifts each soul a certain power and a certain potential. Fate is not a God, it is the guiding force for all life, it may not be a living being but fate does have a will and ability to interact with the world to guide those that need it. For mortals this is shown through their affinity with the elements and magical potential, but even if they reach their peak as a mortal, they won’t be able to ascend to a Demi God as fate didn’t grant them a Divine power, also known as a divine affinity. Those born with Divine power are exceedingly rare and will be completely unaware of the power the poses as there are no signs, the only expectations to this are the progenitors of each and every race, who always receive a Divine power from fate. Only those that have been granted a Divine power by fate are capable of ascending, becoming the Demi God of that power. (e.g. Demi God of Revenge)

For a mortal to ascend first they must discover themselves, see who they truly are and accept it completely. This is the most difficult part and the most time consuming. Once they have done this the Divine power within them fuses with their soul, revealing what their power is and enlightenment of what they could truly wield. Now they must master their power until it becomes one with them, once achieved they will gain immortality and ascend into a Demi God.

Part of the powers they receive are the ability to easily communicate with the gods their power is close too, as well as the ability to travel to the realm of the gods, although this will be unknown to them, but is possible to discover or they are told by a god they are close too.

Demi Gods are weakest stage of godhood, because technically they have not fully ascended, meaning they are still part mortal. Due to this they can live in the mortal realm, not bound by the rules of the gods. Despite how it sounds they are not that much more powerful than a mortal who has reached their peak power because they are still part mortal, the can be killed by mortal weapon. The reason they are not fully ascended is that complete ascension requires three truths to be discovered. First is the truth and acceptance of oneself, second is finding the truth of their power and mastering it and thirdly the must know the truth of the world, understanding the truth does not matter only that they know.

The only way a Demi God can discover the truth of the world is when they enter the god’s realm. When they arrive the truth will reveal itself to them, and they will fully ascend into a Lesser God.

In the gods realm the lesser gods are the lowest ranked and weakest. After them there are the Gods, then the High Gods, then the God Kings, then the God Emperors, then there are the True gods and finally the Primordial Gods, of which there are only 11. One for each of the elements Fire, Earth, Water, Wind, Ice, Lightning, Light, Darkness, Shadow, Void magic and then there is the God Of Time Chronos, time is not an element or force, time is time nothing else. Through void magic simple time magic can be used to simple degree, but none other than Chronos himself can control time. These eleven were the primordial gods of this universe, combining their powers with each other they created the world of Abraitera.

They filled it with basic life and watched it grow into something beautiful. As time passed and more gods came to be they grew frustrated, there beautiful world was thriving but felt incomplete, after discussing it with each other for an untold amount of time, it was decided that each god would create a sentient race in their image and guide their growth. Ten of the gods created a sentient race in their image. Athreal was the only Primordial not to create a species, she really wanted to but she could feel fates influence telling her to wait, and so she did for millennia until she was the only one who hadn’t created a species. Eventually after eons of waiting she felt it, a soul from another universe formed a link with hers, which was meant to be impossible for any mortal or god to do, but not impossible for fate. Filled with happiness as now her race can finally be born into the World.
