《The Phoenix Hero [DROPPED]》Chapter 063.5 - Collapse [End]

So this marks the end of The Phoenix Hero, my first attempt to write a story that turned into a big mess at the end because I tried to follow too close to the Xianxia style. I plan to take what I learned from this to write something like a sequel/reboot, taking what I've learned and using it to improve the story. Thanks for sticking with my horrible writing this far to all my readers.

In a white enclosed space stood eight individuals. Among them were Himiko and Kongming. This was a rare gathering of the Immortals of the world through spiritual projection. They would meet like this to discuss important matters. Today, was the rise of a new creature as powerful as a Demon.
"Things are bleak," said Himiko. "A new creature as powerful as a Demon Lord has appeared."
"What can we do?" asked Kongming. "If we leave our lands, we open up the possibility of even more creatures like that appearing."
Powerful creatures kept a close eye on the Immortals. They would not make a move because the Immortal could still kill them. However, should the Immortal ever leave their land, the creature would take over the land and claim it as its own, empowering it to become even stronger. This was the main reason why Immortals rarely if ever left their lands.
A man with a messy beard in white robes spoke up. He was Musa, a man from the Middle East. "What about the Hero?" he asked.
"The Hero is too young and unprepared to fight a Demon," said Himiko. "The tools we have are useless without the proper people to wield them," said Himiko as she showed off the knives that she had created to combat the Demons.

A woman with blonde hair and blue eyes spoke up. Her name was Kendra, a woman from the continent across the seas. "I think it is about time we stopped relying on the Hero and tried something else," she said.
"What can we do though?" asked Musa.
"For now, I suggest we open up our lands as a sanctuary," said Kongming. "This way we can at least protect some people."
"That's only a short term solution," said a brown skinned man in a brown robe. He was Raymundo, another Immortal from a far away land across the oceans. "We need to come up with a way to empower the people to fight back against such a creature," he said.
"What if we granted our power to a single person and awaken them?" asked Kongming. "Would this individual have the power?"
"Doing so would most likely kill them," said Musa. "I suggest we make it so that people can live in the Immortal Realms and hope that one of them will have the power to do something about it."
"I agree," said Kendra. "An individual who can train in one of our Immortal Realms for an extended period of time might have a chance to awaken to greater power. This way we can offer a save haven and an opportunity to create something more reliable than a Hero that might only appear once every few hundred years."
"And if they try to use their power for evil, we can take care of them before they become a problem as well," said Raymundo.
The Immortals agreed to this plan. A way to replace the unreliable Hero and hopefully something that would create individuals who were powerful enough to face threats to the world. One by one, cities fell to the Lich. This Lich became known as Arch-Lich Mulak. He was stronger than any of the other Lich that appeared. This marked the end of the era in which a Hero was able to defeat the Demons and an era in which humanity was once again brought to its heels by a new type of being. The great schools were able to survive with significant losses, but many fell. West Wind Academy was one of the ones that fell. Akiza, who was not powerful enough to face off against the creature that was ever growing stronger, fled with the survivors to the basin in which she washed up a few years before.

The Immortals began their plan, opening their lands as safe havens and defending it from the Lich. This marked the end of the era of the Hero, and the rise of the era of the Arch-Lich, a being that would tower over even the great Demons of the past.

The world traveler from the future
The world, under the guide of the System, was prospering. The Dungeons gifted untold riches to those brave enough to challenge them, and the System watched and helped those who were willing to complete its Quests. But not Charles. As soon as he appeared inside a dark cave, the system told him that he was an anomaly, that he was not worthy of its gifts. His mind was damaged. His AI companion was convinced that he was in a world of sword and magic. All around, schemers and manipulators tried to play their part in a story that was thousands of years old. Spanning entire planes and worlds. And yet, he only saw what he wanted to see. For a while, it worked. Slowly, but inevitably, it became impossible. The threat was too big to ignore, the evidence too strong. He was just a pawn in a game so large that it was impossible to comprehend. At its center, the System. The System was not what it seemed. It was a tyrant, or maybe just a tool created by someone or something so powerful that it could control entire worlds. And it had declared him its enemy. In the year 2022, a mass-transit of test subjects occurred inside the confines of a vast, underground research facility. The 500 or-so individuals taking part in this secret experiment -- labelled: The 1st Beta Phase -- were force-transferred to another world under the direction of Project Prometheus. These test subjects had one, singular role: to act as "baseline tests" for future, planned experiments. Among the individuals taking part in the experiment, was Subject 513… ...sirens blared throughout the 4th Research Facility as an anomalous event transpired within one of the many transfer pods... “Subject 513: missing. Force-transfer procedure has been cancelled. Foreign matter detected.” Those were the last words uttered by the life-support system monitoring Subject 513’s vitals, as it shut down indefinitely. As 513’s consciousness faded into the void, his physical presence left on Earth crumbled to dust, blanketing the floor of the transfer pod he was stored within, in grey ash... ...when he awoke, the last few years of his life had seemingly been plucked-away from his memories. And to make matters worse, he found himself trapped under the gaze of a ravenous beast, ready to tear him apart... Another Terror Infinity Fan Fiction
This is my first time writing anything on rrl. I've been a reader for a couples years now and decided that I wanted to give it a shot. I might not finish this story and the releases will be eratic but I'll try to get at least one chapter out on Sundays but if I don't have time it obviously won't happen. The title of the story should tell you everything you want to know about it. I welcome all criticism and hope I can provide entertainment for whoever reads this.

Bear trap (statehumans CalTex)
(This book has nothing to do with furries, otherkins, or irl therianthropes. Both by their own definitions and my own, we have nothing to do with each other. Keep being your weird selves just don't pretend I'm a part of those groups because I wrote this book with animal/human hybrids in it. Any comments trying to talk about furries or otherkins will be deleted because it makes me physically uncomfortable. Therians are ok tho because it's basically the fancy way to say people who have spirit animals)There are two races in this world, humans and therianthropes, which are humans with animal qualities, that can shapeshift into their animal counterpart. The therianthropes, once divided by predator and prey, joined together in hiding after the humans began to hunt therianthropes for sport. California, a young grizzly bear therianthrope, was always curious to see the world beyond the forest he and his people lived within. Texas, a young farmhand, always wanted to catch a therianthrope, believing it would make him the hero of his village after violent massacres and thefts had been performed on it, supposedly by therianthropes. But when these two young men's paths collide, secrets, strange new feelings, and a magical adventure turns everything they thought they knew about the others race upside down.Warnings:- statehumans- countryhumans - the country and statehumans are all kinda just mixed together. There is no obvious separation between state and country, they're all just people - guns- and ships- hunting - idk, vegans?- gay stuff- not super gory, but people do get hurt - maybe death
