《The Phoenix Hero [DROPPED]》Chapter 016 - Akira vs Akiza (1)

Sorry for the cliffhanger guys. Part 1 of the fight. There might be a few errors.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Today was the day. Akiza would finally begin formal combat training under Akira, her Master. Akira was a Hero who had fought countless battles against powerful enemies. He had combat experience that was incomparable. On the other hand, Akiza had no combat experience unless you count running away from danger. She had never been in a fight though she had seen a few. But most important of all, she knew it was probably going to hurt.
"I'll be waiting for you inside your Dantian," Akira said.
Akiza focused her mind and entered her Dantian once more. This time, there was a huge pile of books set up on the table. She glanced over at the eggs and noticed that the red egg was cracking at the top. "What happened to that egg?" Akiza asked.
"As your power grows, the egg will begin to hatch," Akira replied. "Once you reach the Spirit Stage, it will break open."
"I understand," Akiza replied.
"Before we get started, you need a base for your fighting style," Akira explained.
"What is a base?" Akiza asked.
"A base is your main form of fighting," Akira said. "It determines everything about how you fight. It determines how you stand, how you move, how you defend and how you attack."
"What do you recommend?" Akiza asked.
"That depends completely on you and your personality," Akira responded. "But I use something called Krav Maga. It is a fighting style that is best used when one person is fighting against many."
"That is what I wish to learn," Akiza said. "It sounds very useful."
"Here is a simple book on Krav Maga," Akira said as he pointed to the book he had set up for her already. "I had a feeling you would follow me, but I need to warn you, this is a hard to learn style that is different for each person."

As Akiza opened the book, it mainly outlined several principles. Krav Maga was a fighting style that combined techniques from many other types of fighting. It listed basic principles, but there were details of numerous types of attacks that focused on defending yourself and disabling your opponent by injury or death. In addition it emphasized the importance of using the environment to your advantage. It took Akiza nearly an hour to flip through all the details, and even took some of the stances and forms.
Akira looked at how she was able to copy some of the techniques described in the book, but warned Akiza, "Real combat is different from theoretical and what you learn in those silly schools."
"So how will we fight?" Akiza asked.
"We will fight right here in your Dantian," Akira stated.
"How?" Akiza asked.
"Remember, while you are here I can influence you, but you will not suffer any permanent injuries while we are here," Akira explained.
Akiza relaxed at the thought that she would not die, however, Akira was not finished talking.
Akira continued, "That being said, you will still feel pain. But then again, that is the only way you can build tolerance."
Akiza got nervous by hearing those words. If she got hurt, she would feel the pain. If Akira killed her, she would feel the pain of death even if it did not have lasting injuries.
"The only problem is that I cannot use my full strength," Akira stated.
"Why?" Akiza asked.
"I only possess a small amount of Internal Energy that I can get from you," Akira explained. "However, I still have all my techniques even though I do not have much Internal Energy. In terms of strength, I should be slightly above you because my body is in peak physical shape. I will not hold back, Aki!" Akira shouted. "You lose if you are incapacitated or killed. I lose if you can land a single clean hit on me. As soon as you are ready, we will begin."

"What is a clean hit?" Akiza asked.
"It is a hit to what is considered a weak spot that would normally kill someone. The chest and the head are usually the main spots," Akira explained.
"Okay," Akiza nodded. Akiza took a moment to prepare herself. This was the first time she had fought a human opponent, and it was a Hero with lots of experience fighting. She calmed herself and said, "I am ready."
"Good, let's begin on the count of three," Akira stated. "One."
Akiza held her breath as she heard these words.
"Two," said Akira.
At that moment Akiza blinked. As she opened her eyes, Akira was already in front of her.
"Three!" shouted Akira. At that moment, he slashed Akiza across the chest, dealing a lethal blow to Akiza.
Akiza blacked out for a few seconds and reappeared at the entrance to her Dantian, body still aching with pain from her first experience with death. It was much worse than when she awakened her pink flames. This pain lasted for a bit after she woke up as well.
"Your first lesson in fighting, your opponent will not fight fair!" Akira shouted.
"Okay, Master," Akiza replied.
"Round two, Aki," Akira stated.
Akiza prepared herself for another fight and immediately took a defensive stance before. This time she kept her eyes on Akira.
"Three!" shouted Akira as he began a mad dash towards Akiza. He swung his blade exactly the same as before and Akiza took a dodge to the left in order to avoid the attack.
Akiza channeled her Internal Energy and tried to punch Akira in the stomach. However, she was interrupted as Akira began a one eighty turn that ended with his shield square on her face.
"Anything and everything is a weapon," Akira explained. "You mistook my shield for a defensive piece of equipment, but it is heavier than a sword and the impact can be just as lethal."
Akiza continued to try to fight Akira, but it was impossible. Every attack she used was countered by Akira. The large shield wielded by Akira was able to block nearly every attack. She did not have the power to break the shield or penetrate his defense. Nearly every failed attack was met with a lethal counter attack. Akira was using all the methods at his disposal to kill Akiza in the fewest number of moves possible. Some attacks broke her legs so he could get a clean hit when she couldn't move Other times, he waited for the perfect counter attack.
"You are strong," Akiza said.
"This comes from years of practice," Akira explained. "You are making progress, but you have a long way to go before you can land a hit on me."
