《The Phoenix Hero [DROPPED]》Chapter 014 - The Flames of Life

Akira began to panic as he heard Akiza's loud scream. He looked through the library in Akiza's Dantian hoping to find some information about what was happening. Within one of the books in the Fire techniques was where he finally found it. Within the book detailed the colors of the Fire element. Red was the weakest form of Fire that most people who were training used and some people who used a Phoenix Spirit would also naturally have a red fire. It is not very hot, but it still had destructive power. The next stage in development is blue fire, which is much hotter and stronger, which Akiza should have turned into. The final stage of development for Fire was supposed to be a white fire. There were special conditions that allowed someone to create a black fire. This was the knowledge that Akira had.
However, there were unique abilities as well. Akiza flipped through the text and found strange colors. For example, green flames from someone who was able to use Earth and Fire yet another person with both properties was able to create magma. Some people who were able to control Fire and Metal were able to create colored fires as well depending on the type of Metal created. What was happening to Akiza was different, it was the birth of a new type of Fire.
After several minutes, Akiza stopped moving around and stopped screaming. "Are you okay?" Akira asked. However, Akiza was unconscious, but still breathing. She had fallen asleep. "Staying in the water isn't good for your skin you know?" However, Akiza did not respond, she was exhausted from the ordeal.
It was midday when Akiza finally woke up. There was a burning sensation in her stomach and she was still leaning against the pool of water. She looked at her hands and began to look all over her body to make sure nothing serious had happened again. This time, she thought the pain had killed her, but pinched her face and felt pain. She was still alive.

She got out of the water and got dressed. She did not have many choices left as most of the clothes did not fit. She had to wear her work clothes, a cotton shirt, leather vest, and pants that were a bit too small for her now. "Akira?" she asked.
"Finally awake sleeping beauty?" Akira asked.
"Yes Master," Akiza replied.
"Thank goodness," Akira responded. "You were out for a while and I had no idea what was happening to you, so I was seriously worried for the first time since your fall."
"This burning sensation in my stomach won't go away," Akiza stated. She touched her stomach and there was an extremely strong heat coming from it. She could even feel it through her clothes.
"Try creating a fire," Akira said.
Akiza took her right hand out and created a fire in her palm. It was pink in color. "The color is different," she said.
Akira noticed this too. "Does anything about it feel different?" he asked.
"It doesn't feel warm," Akiza said.
"Cold fire?" Akira asked.
Akiza slowly moved her left hand towards the fire. She closed her eyes as her hand got close, but she could not feel the fire. When her hand entered the fire, she felt a warmth. She opened her eyes and saw her hand in the fire and screamed, "Ahh..?"
She took a close look at her hand and did not see any burns. Her hand felt warmer than normal, but there was definitely no injuries on it.
"Try using it on your stomach," Akira instructed.
Akiza removed her vest and created another pink flame in her right hand and slowly moved it towards her stomach. As it got close, she again, did not feel any heat from the fire. She lifted her shirt with her left hand and pressed the flame against her stomach. She felt the warmth enter her body and the pain in her body start to disappear. "The pain stopped," she said.

"A healing flame?" Akira wondered.
"Healing flame?" Akiza asked.
"There were stories in the past about the Phoenix, a legendary bird made of Fire. It would never die. Upon its death, it would be reborn as a new and younger Phoenix." Akira stated. "It is believed that the flames of this Phoenix could hurt and heal."
The words 'hurt and heal' stood out to Akiza. She focused another fire on her hand and began to concentrate on it. At that moment, the pink flame turned back red, and she could feel the heat from it again. "It worked!"
Akira saw that the fire in Akiza's hand had turned back into red. As he watched Akiza focus on it. He saw the fire shift between pink, red, and blue. "Blue is the normal color of a strengthed flame," he said.
Akiza took out her mirror and looked at her face again. Indeed, she had changed again. Her hair had gotten longer. Her face was a lot smoother. That was when she noticed. She took a closer look at the iris of her eyes. They had changed from brown to pink. The eyes of her mother had turned colors.
"It must be the influence of your new ability," Akira stated.
Akiza checked her stomach to see that there was no serious damage. Whatever was causing her pain before was no longer there.
"Try using your World Spiritualist Technique again," Akira instructed.
"Okay," Akiza said. She sat and focused her senses. She noticed a significant shift in her body's energy. There was a profound amount of energy in her body. Compared to everything else around her, she was like a flame in a dark cavern. She had made a breakthrough into the Limit Stage.

Getting Hard (Journey of a Tank)
Herald Stone always built tank characters in every MMORPG he played. To be immortal—that was his first Goal, a simple childhood dream. However, the turbulent realities of life put an end to his gaming days. Years passed, and Herald Stone, now having attained success and stability, was presented with the opportunity to redeem himself...to fulfill his first Goal. Trivial? Childish? Others might think so. But Herald Stone always fulfilled his Goals—every single one. No matter what. Immortality beckoned in Mother Core Online, and this time Herald Stone would answer. Choosing a long-forgotten race, hidden away in an unknown region, the journey of an immortal tank begins. This is the tale of Herald Stone...getting hard. Schedule: Mon-Wed-Fri-Sat, 10am Central/ 3pm GMT. ~1.8k-2.3k words per chapter. Also published on Scribblehub. My other ongoing story: REND | Royal Road Expect a focus on building a true tank in MMORPGs. Heavy game elements and numbers are present. But actual math will take a backseat to strategies involving skill builds and synergies that steadily become more complex while remaining understandable. The main character is atypical in LitRPGs or web novels as a whole. He might take some getting used to. Character arcs will develop over a long period. What you see now will be different as the main character changes. The start of Getting Hard is slow-paced (more so than others of the genre) and includes world-building and character development before focusing on the LitRPG.

Then there's Cendric Forrester, the bastard of a decorated Knight. Sold off in servitude to the Order of the Knights Seeker, to unwillingly pay his mothers debt. He's tired of being the Orders pet hound. Ruthless to those standing in his way, and disillusioned with Chivalry and the world around him.
