《Rivalry I Live for》Chapter 19. Real Threat

With glowing eyes, the soldiers swayed left and right. Lava bursted out of the wall creating a few small platforms far enough from each other to jump across. The general sat there on the throne, grinning with delight as his eyes covered in shadows beamed with malicious red light.
Our first unsuspecting player who was the furthest back got killed… Ishmar died… Welp, bad luck indeed.
Quickly I threw all my potions everywhere that costed me 1 gold… It was cheap stuff, but they regenerated a lot of health or mana for a new player.
Everyone is forced into a raid party
“Pick them up, quickly!” I said, while looking towards the soldiers that danced a weird demonic dance. No, they aren’t even soldiers anymore. It’s demons clad in human shell…
As the players split up in small groups and shared the potions by throwing it on the platforms to another that moved around in a circle, the soldiers with demon eyes started to charge towards the platforms flowing through the steamy lava that made me sweat tremendously and stung my eyes. Brushing the warm and wet sweat off I said. “Charlotte, Stay behind me and focus on healing”, touching something soft behind me...
“.....”
“Actually, go with the healers!”
“Right!”
“Diamond, assist!”
“Roger!”
Axe grow!
Axe? “Oh shit…” The lava removed the cold atmosphere… My axe started to melt to a tiny like toothpick… What the heck am I suppose to do with this! Poke them to death?! I trembled as the first wave of soldiers ran like a mummy towards the first platform, which was ours.
Oh shit, what am I gonna do? Just kidding… [Cold Air], as the permafrost started to cover the platform into ice my axe grew, 8 time the size!
Heh…”Die!” Swinging my axe across the field, the players quickly ducked as I swung it around against the incoming soldiers. A heavy feeling took over my hand as I hit the first soldier, but by brute force I forced the gravity to oblige to me.
“SLAM!”
“Pentakill!”
But I didn’t end it there… Swinging it like a storm or a whirlwind, I used weapon throw and threw it against the swaying group of soldiers that moved closer and closer, together with the general resting with his right arm on the chin, on the throne. But a group of soldiers ran towards it and sacrificed themselves for the general.
[Cold Air] off.
I need to save my mana, besides… Everyone is scared...
“Everyone! Ranged attacks!” Frank said after getting out of my status effect.
With my back towards the players, large aoe fire balls flew towards the incoming enemy leaving a trail of smoke and earth that spat everywhere and onto my cheek, A large flash blinded me as I turned around. Looking back to see what they were up to. it seems like a combo attack with around 10 players casting a giant cosmetic meteorite… Oh, their party saved their points for a combo attack…

“Distract the enemy while our members cast the Combo Attack!” Frank said.
Oh, it was him before…
Quickly the vanguard formed up and jumped to the first platform and the second that was about to circle to the front. Archers started to rain down arrows to cripple the soldiers as they hit their knees. But the demon soldiers didn’t want to end it like that, their 8 cavalry charged as their own archers fired their own arrows over them towards us.
“Clerics! The Holy barrier whenever the arrows comes!”
A gigantic and round yellowish and thin barrier made out of hexagons appeared at front of me, no at front of everyone, deflecting the thousand arrows as the Cavalry jumped over with the black horses that left a burning trail as they shattered the barrier into pieces and took positions where the tank were.
“Tanks! Taunt them!” Frank said, and those with shields split up evenly to protect the group against the 8 cavalries as the caster at the platform near the dead end loaded the meteorite.
“Diamond fight for me, I can’t use my cold air with the other players!” I said and she started to hover around blasting the horses with ice bolts barrage that pierced the air.
Glancing everywhere to see if anyone need help, I took my cold toothpick and ran toward a horse, pricking it with the edgy part of my axe.
“What the hell?” A heavily geared tank asked confusingly as he fought the cavalry at front of him fiercely with a tower shield as the horse stepped on it, leaving a burning shoe mark.
“Shut up!” I said, face burning and kept pricking the distracted horse on the ass together with other melee players.

“Next one!” I said, running on the steamy earthy platforms and jumped towards the other platform.
“DIE!” By my ULTIMATE weapon.. I was about to say but hell no.
Pricking the other horse on the ass, it started to kick everywhere. Jumping out of the way as a strong breeze flew past be, I kept pricking it.
“More enemies coming!” Frank shouted.
A large group of soldiers ran towards us, trembling the floor, making the lava shake and caused the platform to circulate faster.
Shit, stumbling because of the speed, hands touching the burning platform, I pushed my heavy body up and jumped to a platform next to the platform with the unprotected magicians casting the meteorite.
“REMAINING TANKS! PROTECT THE CASTERS!” Frank shouted panicky, as he tried to keep his calm.

“DIAMOND!” I shouted as I moved towards the magicians.
“Yes master!?
“Do you have [Nifelheim]?”
“But master, it will take all your mana, you also gave away your mana potions” She said, hovering next to me as I stumbled a few times because of the speed.
“I don’t care!” I said, using my palm in burning hot leather armor, brushing the wet forehead once again.
“Use it when I get onto the platform!” I said, swaying around like the demons and fell head first onto the platform.
Crap! I can make it! But I can’t keep my freaking balance with the freaking moving platforms!
Crawling as I created pools of sweat on the platform that steamed into the thin air, My armor started to burn in heat as I kept moving to the edge. Standing up, I jumped to the next platform where the magicians where.
“TANKS?!” Frank worriedly said
“We can’t move! Platform moving too fast!” One said struggling with a tower shield against the cavalry unaffected by the speed.
As I stood my ground protecting the magicians, the large group of demon soldiers jumped to the air. Looking at them as my heart went DOKI DOKI DOKI, I trembled, I grinned, I could count that they were 10, I said “Diamond!!”.
“[NIFELHEIM]!”
A sudden breeze took over everything, stopping the platforms as if time had stopped itself, crystalised frost covered everything, even players, even the lava. The world was covered in white and black. This only lasted a split second.
Axe GROW!
Swinging my toothpick that took form of a gigantic axe that made me lose my posture I slammed the incoming soldiers with a heavy feeling that made me lose my breath into the wall. “CRASH!” Splinters of the earthy wall flew onto my armor with a few small clangs.
Giving a thumbsup to Frank, he smiled as I had saved the casters.
Mana depleted
“Catch!” Frank said, I turned around and saw a blue shiny bottle cover my vision.
Grabbing it, I drank it… Just what I needed.
But a burning sound covered my ears, something that shoot out lightning and pierced the sound barrier, something that shook the ground worse than the soldiers, the meteorite appeared from a hole in the ceiling. Bits of stones crumbed onto the players, including my head… My scarf protected me. I laughed, “MAGNIFICENT!”
My blood boiled, the burning heat took over my mind, the excitement of the awesome spell that needed time and practice to cast, are these even new players?! I don’t know, I don’t care! Clenching my fist that burned I moved towards the horses once again with my toothpick.
“Frank! Meteorite is ready!” The leader of the magicians said.
“FIRE IT!” He said, pointing at the group of soldiers that was sent out in waves by the general.
As I moved to the remaining horse that was one, the Meteor flew above me, slowly crumbling the caverns into pieces, as big stones dropped into the lava that scattered everywhere, burning a few players.
A smoky cloud was also created, breathing I coughed a bit, but still I pricked the horse’s ass at front of me.

A few seconds later, the smoke vanished, the meteorite that covered the whole army at front of us… Crashed.
“KA-BOOOM!” A shockwave forced me into the ground as my scarf and hair stretched backwards, a few even dropt into the lava… Friendly Fire, luckily it wasn’t charlotte. But quickly they got healed as they climbed back up.
Gazing toward the black and crispy demon soldiers as my forearm rested on the hot platform as I laid there with my back towards the raid members. I grinned, easy!
But suddenly the platform rose to the air, the lava bursted out pushing the floor to the ceiling, forced me back to the floor, gravity took over as my stomach started to tingle. The ceiling crumbled into pieces, revealing a beam of light that blinded me towards the dead end of the Demon’s den.
The lava accelerated the platforms into the air!
“KEEP CALM!” Frank said, as he laid there.
As the platforms stopped, we started to hover around the air as we flew towards the snowy mountain together with the platforms.
“SLOW FALL MAGICIANS!”
The magicians casted [slow fall] and we soared the sky and landed into the snow head first…
“THUD!”“THUD!”“THUD!”“THUD!”“THUD!”“THUD!”“THUD!”“THUD!”“THUD!”.....
The players including me scattered the snow as we swam up towards the blue sky…
“COOOLD!” Someone screamed…That made everyone laugh.
But we had yet time to relax… The general bursted head first out of the mountain with a smokey bald head… The meteorite made him bald, lol!
… “ROOAAAAAR!”
