《Another World and I'm still rich?》Chapter 20. Creation of the Sword Technique, The journey begins.

I train in the techniques for hours without stop, possibly even days.
Dual swords, Dual daggers, polearm, glaive, spear, sword, hammer, axe...
All of the weapons avaible to me here I trained in.
"All of these techniques... I need to sort out the ones that don't fit each other in combo's and break the flow... But which weapon is the most suited to me?" (Colin)
I look at the weapons and remember the flow of all the combo's I did with the weapons and how well I could do them.
"Definetly dual swords. Nearly all of the techniques could be combo'd with eachother except for a few..." (Colin)
I sit down and notice Vivian approaching.
"Colin... I got the books a week and three days ago... You have been in this yard for that long. James has even returned and we all don't know what to do." (Vivian)
"Just be on stand-by. I might have to leave for a little bit of an adventure and if you guys want to come you should be ready. Also, thank you for the books... Did you get something nice for yourself aswell?" (Colin)
She nods and then leaves.
I grab the books and study every technique in them.
Two days pass and I finish reading them.
"No techniques for dual swords? The most techniques were for the axe but I couldn't make a combo bigger than seven techniques in a row whilst the dual swords still hold the twenty five techniques in a row combo. Quite useless these books were." (Colin)
I neatly stack the books and put the weapons back in their spot and then go to the entrance and main hall of the building.
Everybody is there with travel clothing and seems ready for adventure.
Vivian steps forward and looks me straight in the eye for one second before looking away.

"We... We are all coming with you! We are your slaves after all... And we wouldn't know what to do when you dissapear aswell!" (Vivian)
"Sure sure. I had already anticipated that most of you will come... Didn't think all but no matter. Just get enough food for about... Half a year. If we run out then we'll get more from towns. Also... Our target is the Multi-Race Kingdom. Seems like they have something I need." (Colin)
They all nod and leave and I head back to the yard, grab two swords.
"Time to finalize the sword Technique... What should I call it actually... Long, wide attacks that resemble a whirlwind but then sudden thrusts forward..." (Colin)
I think for a while and train at the same time.
Suddenly... My brain gets an idea.
"Thundering Whirlwind." (Colin)
The moment I finish the technique main combo a strong wind current blows through the city and bounces back from the walls...
"Oops... I think I knocked a few guards off the wall. So it's this strong when done correctly... And I wasn't even using my full strength. It gathers the wind generated by my moves in one area and the finishing technique makes it all disperse suddenly... Powerful and deadly." (Colin)
I put the training swords down and notice they have many dents and cracks on them from me just cutting air with the Thundering Whirlwind technique.
I go back into the main hall with nobody there and a lot of noise coming from the rooms.
"Guess I should get ready aswell... Sadly we are going to have to leave this place to nature. Should I just sell it? No... They wouldn't be happy... I don't need people who are mad at me travelling with me." (Colin)

When I reach my room I notice everything is already packed for me. By everything I mean... Literally everything that isn't a bed, bookcase, seat or table.
I easily lift up the bag and put it on my back.
Feels like a feather to me...
I go to the entrance and wait for the others.
A few hours pass and the last one to arrive was Lily who is still... Frightened by the sight of me. I think it's frightened? She acts all weird around me.
"Alright... Everybody is here. In which direction is the multi-race kingdom?" (Colin)
"Towards the gate you defended... Towards Karalok. They already took it by the time I got there but they let me trade." (James)
"Grab the horses and carts and carriages. We are heading towards Karalok. A town is about to burn just as a message that somebody wants to meet somebody else." (Colin)
A wicked grin appears on my face. The face of somebody about to kill hundreds or possibly thousands without batting an eye.
"You... Aren't going to kill civilians right!?" (Lily)
"If they remain as civilians and don't attack me. Yes. They will survive. But if they grab a torch and throw it at any of my summons... They will die. Simple as that." (Colin)
Lily seems relieved that I won't pointlessly massacare everybody.
After an hour we leave the town and head towards Karalok.
"Vivian... I'm coming. Just wait until you hear of an entire city burning... I also need to show the Multi-Race kingdom what happens when you mess with somebody who can power-up and fast." (Colin)
I whisper to myself.
The entire trip to Karalok a wicked grin was on my face as I stand in the air making wind below me pushing me forward as my hands are crossed.
I am currently looking at Karalok.
Now... What should I do with this city...

In an attempt to prevent Earths ensuing demise, it is ripped from the void by an entity known as The Totality. It is then fused with a Lost Dungeon World to increase its inhabitants chances of survival in a new, system-enhanced universe. Cade Vale barely avoids death in the first second. Will he be able to overcome the rigors of this new world and survive? Will he be able to carve a new life out of the aether for himself and those whom he loves most? ...Will he be able to avoid becoming everything he hates in order to do so? Artwork by Kayla Basciano - Instagram: vulpix1323 Inspired primarily by the systems in The Legend of Randidly Ghosthound, The Genesis System, and The New World as well as by Savage Divinity, Azarinth Healer, and Shovels in Spades in general. I haven't been able to get these worlds out of my head and I've been waiting for something to fill the void left by the hiatus of Genesis, but so far nothing has scratched that itch as much as ProfoundMagician was able to with the world he created. I figure if I'm going to be thinking about this stuff as much as I do I might as well get better at writing while playing with a number of those ideas that I love. I have a number of specifics and events I want to show in the story, but a lot of the fun is coming up with ways to branch those together cohesively. This is an attempt to alleviate my depression by channeling my creativity into a hobby. Hopefully it's as enjoyable to read as it is to write.

8 194Memories of the Bean Times
To those who have survived: I write this now, for I fear my death is imminent. Barnabas Schmidt wasn't serious when he said he knew what was going on in Paris. Thomas Sauer wasn't expecting to put his life on the line studying a mysterious disease. Julia Krause wasn't trying to join a cult. And the Holy Roman Empire wasn't prepared to fight the Beans. In the year 1587, the small farming village of Dijon in the Kingdom of France is attacked by seemingly immortal monsters made out of baked beans. As Schmidt fights against the Beans on the front lines, the Beans steadily approach the Empire's borders. As Sauer searches for the Beans' weaknesses, the Church of the Beanmeister paves the way for the arrival of the God. As Krause helps the Church, she begins to question her loyalty to the Beanmeister. Updates every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Chapters are available earlier on the Bean Times website: https://beantimes.github.io
