《Another World and I'm still rich?》Chapter 12. Natives and Rogues.

I wake up once again and feel a bit more power in my body.
I open my eyes just barely enough to see what is around me...
A tent... A big tent and lamps hanging from the wooden pillars holding it up...
I turn my head to one side and to the other.
No living being in sight. There was a table with chairs and a book ontop of the table, there was a carpet and there was other furniture.
The exit and entrance to the tent is on the other side...
I try to get up from my bed but the moment I lift myself up I fall back down making a ton of sound.
I hear running outside and all of them are coming towards the tent.
Soon after a bunch of kids open the tent entrance and run in.
The moment I turn my head to look at them they run away...
They had... Paint on their faces? And it wasn't paint they smeared on themselves... It had an order to it... Like a native tribes...
I wait for a bit and I hear someone talking to somebody else while walking towards the entrance of my tent.
Soon after two people enter.
A young woman and an old man.
"Hohoho? So the kids weren't joking this time... He really is awake." (Old man)
"It seems so, grandfather." (Woman)
"We need to put him back to sleep. He was injured and dying on that wretched battlefield for too long... It won't do good for him to waste energy. Sofia?" (Old Man)
"Alright, grandfather. I'll do it." (Sofia.)
The young woman whose name I think I now know walks up to me.
I notice wings on her back... Half see-through wings... Just like a Fairy or Sylphs.

She puts her hand near my head and the next moment I see a light and fade back into sleep.
--- Some time passes ---
I wake up once again to see Sofia sitting next to me.
"Awake again?! Come on sleep!" (Sofia)
She casts the spell on me again but I don't fall unconcious... It doesn't actually do anything this time...
I move my hand up in the air to see how much strength I have regained and I manage to hold my hand up in the air for fifteen seconds...
Enough power to probably sneak out of the bed and wander about without getting spotted by a guard due to falling on a knee while they are coming around the corner...
Sofia keeps trying to cast the spell on me time and time again but fails each time.
She tries once more until she gets up and leaves to get her grandfather probably.
I get up from my bed and notice the huge gaping hole that is supposed to be in my chest is missing.
All the scars are missing also...
How long have they actually been healing me...?
I take a look at my clothes and they are weird... It's like medieval clothing from my world but... With two holes on the back...
Probably for the wings of this Fairy or Sylph tribe or village that has been healing me...
I still wonder why they took me in and why they are living on the ground...
I slowly walk out of the tent and check the corners and then run to cover at another tent.
I look around and see no people... At all.
Just... Emptiness.
I wander around and find no people... Not even guards?
The tents are packed full of things but nobody is in them...

I keep wandering around until I hear singing...
I slowly walk towards the singing while checking corners as not to get caught because last time I did... I got an earful from Sofia, The guard and the elder of this tribe or village.
The thing is... The guard didn't have wings. While I was listening to the guard scream at me while Sofia was coming to get me I saw no wings...
They even took off their mask and all I saw were pointy ears and silky hair...
I get really close to the singing and as I look around the corners again I see a ton of people singing and looking at a stone sculpture of something?
I get closer to see the sculpture but the only thing I can make out is that it is human looking but it has big big wings and seems to be some sort of Holy Being?
I suddenly feel somebody pull me backwards as I stumble and fall...
I look up and see a guard who drags me all the way back to the tent where an angry Sofia and elder are waiting...
This isn't going to be good... Is it?
Sofia gave me an earful and made me get back in bed.
The elder then came and hit me on the forehead with his walking cane and used the same spell as Sofia but... Stronger...
"What was... That ritual?" (Colin)
They both look at me shocked but then the elder finishes the spell and casts it.
I fall unconcious again...

D Days
Dragons were the apex predators of the magical world, feared for their strength and intelligence. They stood at the pinnacle of creation, until mankind fueled by fear and envy banded together and struck them down as the greatest threat to the continued existence of their kingdoms. Peace reigned for many years across the continent, until an accident in the Magocracy of Ken turned one of the most powerful mage lords into a power mad lich. Raising an undead army and creating a cult that worshipped him like a god, he cut a bloody swath across the continent in a bid to create his own domain. A great alliance consisting of the Kingdom of Light, the Magocracy of Ken, the Forest Kingdom of the Elves, the Mountain Kingdom of the Dwarves, and the Wild Tribes of the West rose up and the high lich was defeated, his armies destroyed, and his cult scattered. Still recovering, the world is a constant state of petty power struggles and back biting between nations. Border disputes are common and the constant fighting has taken a toll on the populations of all the nations. Of course, none of this has much bearing on the everyday life of a an ordinary young orphan in the care of a Temple run home. The Errant Otherworlder Watanabe
“In this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death, taxes and trucks whom transport men to other worlds.” Meet our titular protagonist Haruto Watanabe, a man who has all the markings of a good protagonist for a generic portal fantasy story. As an overworked office worker, to escape from the grips of crippling capitalist alienation, he had taken up to reading many stories where young men like him were transported to other worlds and enjoyed their lives at a most leisurely pace. Armed with genre-awareness and (what he believes to be) a marketable personality which would make him an easy audience self-insert, he longed for the day the isekai express would take him to his long-awaited adventure to another world. When the fateful day came, where the fair yet harsh mistress that is the fabled truck took Watanabe on one last date to the other side, he was most ready to escape his previous life, ready to embark on an errant so great he’d be most overpowered, his heroics so exceptional and his harem so vast that they would barely fit ten or twenty volumes of an overly long novel made by a desperate author looking for quick cash. Lo and behold however, Watanabe instead found himself in a low fantasy world which lacked severely in the department of any game-like systems, cheat skills or easily charmed damsels in distress. In a setting so antithetical to his established genre savviness or any attempts at power fantasy, how will a man like Watanabe, lacking in strength, wits and courage, manage to survive in a land most foreign to him? This is my first time trying to share to the wider world what I’ve written, and I hope you’ll enjoy reading the errantry of Watanabe as much as I enjoy writing about them. I'll be posting one chapter per week on Sundays, along with extra chapters whenever I get the chance to write more than usual.
