《Another World and I'm still rich?》Chapter 8.5. Memui's POV

Author - Well, Hello. I have a small notification to make. This weekend (Eastern European time) I won't be posting any chapters. I am sorry but my birthday is on that day and I also have to do some things that don't involve my birthday.
So... Here's a half-chapter with Memui's POV in the Fort she was sent to.
I finally reach Fort Knox and see everybody on the walls and some of them are really scared...
The gates to the Fort open and I enter to see many wounded on the ground and a pile of dead bodies stacked in a corner...
How many casualties in this short of a time can we get!?
I look around and see the captain of the fort on the wall commanding people and I go up to him.
"Captain, what has happened here?" (Memui)
"Memui! Well... They did a full-on frontal assault. We managed to push them back but we took too many casualties... I don't even want to know how big a massacare it would be if the other army where the Conscripts were sent to would win and come here...
Our lives basically depend on civilians who took up arms and only one thousand trained soldiers..." (Captain)
"And we can't retreat. I'll see what I can do about the injured. Maybe some of them might be able to get themselves back on their feet." (Memui)
I go back to the center of the fort and look around the masses of injured people in the fort and heal the ones who would seem to be in a fighting shape after getting healed.
I don't want to waste too much mana healing the more seriously injured guys but I helped them out a little and made sure that if we win they would survive.
We gained about thirty soldiers and if we win we still have to treat over one hundred injured soldiers...
I quickly look around the wall and notice there was only about five thousand Draconian Soldiers on the walls.

I go back up the walls and to the Captain to think about what we do next... I have trust in Xavier and a bit in Colin so they will hold the enemy army near them back long enough for us to be able to reinforce them and win this offensive and start pushing them back...
"Captain. Which direction did they come from the most?" (Memui)
"North. Their leader is north and the biggest bulkiest soldiers seem to be to the north aswell since that is where they appear from." (Captain)
"North huh... I'll stand guard on the Northern wall, I can use magic to kill them and I can also fight with swords." (Memui)
"Thanks, Memui. With you here.... We might survive. It's not guaranteed, but we have a chance." (Captain)
"It is my duty as a magician and a soldier of our proud kingdom." (Memui)
I head to the northern bit of the wall and stand guard there for two days with no sightings of the enemy... But on the third day...
I was peacefully sleeping on the morning of the third day until I heard alarms going off and I woke up immediatly and looked around...
They surrounded us and have appeared... Another assault... Ladders...
"They have Ladders!
"I shall start casting magic now! Protect me until the chants are finished!" (Memui)
"Roger!" (Guards)
I put my hands infront of me as I see the guards running to me and the enemy walking towards our walls but being whittled down by the masses of arrows we are shooting at them.
I close my eyes and concentrate.
"O' great spirit of Flame, grant this feeble Draconian your powers and bring destruction to all who oppose me! Pillars Of Flame!" (Memui)
I point my hands at the enemy and huge pillars of flame appear from my hands and start burning the enemy to death but soon after my spell stops due to the duration of it...

I point my hands infront of me again and concentrate again.
"O' great spirit of Ice, grant this feeble Draconian your powers and freeze all who oppose me to death, grant this feeble Draconian your ice-cold power so all can suffer the fate of ice! Ice Field!" (Memui)
A field of ice appears underneath the enemy freezing a lot of them to death but I notice the Leader isn't there... Only some normal footmen.
"The leader isn't here! Locate him!" (Memui)
"Got it!" (Captain)
I hear screaming on the western wall and turn my attention to it... The bulky warriors the captain was talking about are there...
I concentrate and start barraging them with chantless magic like fireball and frostball and kill about five of them until one of the guards runs over and kicks the ladders down killing two of the bulky warriors.
"I'll stand guard on the Western wall! The leader is here!" (Memui)
I run to the Western wall and notice the leader and his bulky guard... Time to use my strongest spell...
"I'm going to use my strongest spell!" (Memui)
"We'll protect you!" (Guards)
I close my eyes and put my hands infront of me.
"O' great spirits of Wind and Flame, this feeble one asks for your assistance in this feeble ones battle. This feeble one asks for you to kill this feeble ones enemies. This feeble one asks you to protect those who are fighting amongst this feeble one! Summon!" (Memui)
I open my eyes and two elemental creatures appear behind the enemy army and start smashing them to bits... A creature of Wind and a creature of flame.
The creatures get close to eachother and slowly merge into one big creature... A flaming tornado creature that literally obliterates the enemy and my mana pool...
"Only three seconds left until I don't have enough mana to power this guy without killing myself!" (Memui)
"We'll do our best showering them with arrows during that time!" (Guards)
The flaming tornado spirit absoloutely destroys the soldiers at the Western army but I saw the Leader escape... The spirit then goes to the Northern wall and starts thrasing around there but I run out of mana and shut him down and collapse on the ground...
I just don't have enough mana for the spirit yet...
When I wake up I notice that we have won the battle and the captain is standing over me.
"She's living and not sleeping!" (Captain)
I hear a loud cheer and slowly get up and quickly check my mana... Three percent filled... I really did do a number on my mana this battle...
I get up and see that only about twenty people joined the injured people...
"We won..." (Memui)
"We won thanks to you. We wouldn't have won that battle without you almost killing yourself due to mana exhaustion. Your spirit absoloutely trashed the Western side and marginally helped out the Northern side making us win the battle! But... If it's that strong... There must be side-effects right?" (Captain)
"There are... My mana regeneration is slowed, my body is weakened for about three months and If I cast any spells until my mana pool is half-filled... I die." (Memui)
"Well... They probably won't be back for a while so you just need to rest and place all the trust possible in your friends over on the other battlefield. We got a report from a scout that went to check out what is going on there... The army assaulting them is way stronger than ours. What we fought was just a Quantity over Quality army... What they are fighting... Is a Quality over Quantity army... We must pray for their victory for it will be the most challenging in a while and if they do win... All of them might as well be heroes."
"Very true..." (Memui)
I sit down on the ground and start praying for their victory and meditate at the same time.
Colin... Xavier, win.

A Fragmented Mind
"Hi there. My name is Richard Maddox, but my — admittedly nonexistent — friends call me Rick. I live in a world of superheroes and villains. A world filled with magic and physics-defying powers, and in this world, I'm just an ordinary, completely average 17-year-old boy. My imaginary friends, however, are as far from average as you get. You think you're good at deluding yourself? Well, stand back, because it's time for a master to show you his craft. Welcome to my life, the life of a madman." This story was originally inspired by the 'Legion' novella series written by Brandon Sanderson. If you've read those books and liked them, it might be worth giving this a read. The same goes if you haven't read them either, I guess. (Currently re-writing earlier chapters)
