《Another World and I'm still rich?》Chapter 7. Conscription.

I wake up from my sleep, put on clothes, take my katana and rubik's cube and then walk to the living room I spotted in the dark of night when I reached the mansion.
The first person I see is Silan who is reading a letter over and over again with Memui right behind him also bothered by the letter.
Vivian is eating breakfast but slowly and I see a hint of sadness in her eyes, Athy isn't here so she must still be asleep.
I walk towards Silan who hits his hand against the table and breaks part of it.
"Silan? What's wrong?" (Colin)
"Ah... Colin... You've been drafted into the military, Colin. The King got a message in the dark of night... A message of war that had the signature of three kings... And the message also held the fact that the pig kingdom just got themselves enslaved by the three kingdoms that sent the message of war..." (Silan)
"Does that mean what I think it means..." (Colin)
"Yes. You are going to war. I haven't been drafted and Memui hasn't been either. Xavier has been drafted though so you'll atleast have him to depend on. I don't know why we haven't been drafted yet..." (Silan)
When Silan finishes somebody knocks on the front door and Silan immediatly gets up and rushes to open it.
I hear footsteps above where Athy went to sleep so she must've woken up.
It seems the war Athy spoke about already came... I was expecting about a month before I must go to war but just one night... This world sure does like it's share of blood does it not?
Silan shortly comes back with another message.
"Memui. You are going to war aswell... Just it seems... Not as offense as Colin and Xavier are going. You must to get Fort Knox in three days so it doesn't fall and defend it until the war is over. That is your orders. I won't be going as it seems I must defend Vivian." (Silan)

"Roger. I'll be heading out immediatly. Fort Knox is quite a bit away from here so i'd rather go now." (Memui)
"Good. Don't die you hear?" (Silan)
"Me? And dying? Maybe of old age Silan!" (Memui)
Memui waves goodbye and leaves and Silan sighs and shrugs his shoulders.
I look towards Vivian who is looking at me with puppy eyes for some reason...
"Umm... Vivian?" (Colin)
Vivian turns away and keeps eating... She must be sad that we are leaving to war where we might meet our end.
Athy comes downstairs and into the living room and notices the mood and quietly sits down.
"Colin... Xavier is already outside and probably has the horses ready for the trip to the battlefield." (Silan)
I bring out the solved rubik's cube and hand it to Silan and he stares at with confusion.
"Keep it. I don't know what will happen to me on the battlefield. I might die. I might get gravely injured. I might become a hero. I might become a demon. Anything is possible... This is the memory of me before battle." (Colin)
I might go insane and become a demon... I've never seen blood, i've never fought anybody... And now i'm going to a medieval war with magic and almost a certain death.
I'm also a human fighting next to draconians. Draconians... The strongest soldiers! They will definetly notice that I am different and they will most definetly target me.
I stretch and start walking towards the door but Vivian gets up and runs towards me while sobbing a little.
"Vivian?" (Colin)
I stare at Vivian whose actions I didn't expect...
"Don't die Colin! Come back to me alive! You are my best friend! My first friend! My precious first and best friend!" (Vivian)

I pat her on the head.
"I'll try to come back alive. No promises though... War is unpredictable. A stray arrow might kill even a general if the archer or the person with the bow gets lucky." (Colin)
She lets go after Silan tries to seperate her from me.
"I'll be going now. Xavier has everything prepeared for both of us right?" (Colin)
"Yeah. He should." (Silan)
I look at Silan holding a sobbing Vivian and Athy silently sitting and I see that she is looking at me from the corner of her eye.
I've gotten quite good at noticing little things because of fast-paced strategy games like a certain starcraft game...
I wave goodbye and walk out of the living room and shut the door.
I walk outside and Xavier is already there with two horses that are carrying many packs.
"Finally here. I heard Vivian's sobbing even over here. She must be really sad that three out of four... I guess five, of her companions are leaving." (Xavier)
"Five?" (Colin)
"Athestine. The seer?" (Xavier)
"Oh... Right." (Colin)
"Well... What are we waiting for. War's aren't won sitting around." (Xavier)
Xavier jumps on a horse and I mimick his movement and jump on the horse he gave me.
"Xavier... I've never ridden a horse." (Colin)
"Well... Just mimick my movements... You seem pretty good at that." (Xavier)
"Ok." (Colin)
Xavier pats his horse on the head twice and it starts moving so I do the same and it starts moving aswell.
We ride our horses towards basically certain death to either us or our enemy.
Which one it is... I shall find out on the battlefield that will be filled with corpses and blood.
I just hope that I am not a corpse that is filling the battlefield...

8 600Good Guy Necromancer
Necromancers are murderous, repulsive, utterly ungodly creatures. And then there's Jerry. Jerry is a novice necromancer who treats his undead warmly, seeks to befriend people instead of harvest their bodies, and doesn't mind cracking a skull or two when needed. He genuinely is a good guy—too bad nobody believes him. Jerry tries to settle down, wanting nothing but a peaceful life for him and his undead—and, when that doesn't quite work out, he sets out to adventure. He will make friends, each unique in their own way, and together, they will travel through a variety of striking environments; from a tiny village, to the land of the dead, to a jolly archipelago, to a kingdom on a beanstalk. To save a world that shuns him, Jerry must stand against a large organization of arrogant, mighty wizards. He strives to become stronger while maintaining his kindness, only to realize that, maybe, gentle hearts make the greatest necromancers. This is the story of a delightful man in a harsh world—full of warmth, action, and wise-cracking bone puns. Chapters are usually 2-3k words, and updates are 3/week: Mon, Wed, Fri. If you're looking for another fun, action-packed adventure, check out Cultivator vs. System by yours truly, available on Kindle, KU, and Audible. But read Good Guy Necromancer first.

8 207Harmless Sweetie (Rewritten)
*UPDATES EVERY MONDAY AND FRIDAY, SOMETIMES MORE IF I DON'T HAVE SCHOOLWORK. **This is tagged as comedy but I have a really stupid and peculiar sense of humor so yeah. "That's an eldritch horror." "No it's not, it's a frog." "Why does it have ten eyes and eight rows of teeth, not just that but why does it just perpetually scream with the voices of the ones whose mind it has eaten." "I'm just not that good at anatomy." *** Clailip Diancia, the tiny boy who dances along the threads of fate woven by a wicked witch. Not knowing of the plans of the witch that once scorched the lands, and unknowing of the abyss that beckons him forth. This harmless sweetie watches the stories of those around him. Ever unconscious of the turning loom of fate, always oblivious of the stories, legends, and tapestries of heroes that revolve around him as he goes, as he dances, and as he prances, leaving myths and rumours wherever he might set foot in. But as he is unaware of those whose fates have intertwined with his, he is also blind to the soul-piercing stares of the Abyss, ever calling to him.

The standard of living here is truly terrible.” - An excerpt from an interview with The Dark Lord. Chapters will be short, between 400-1200 words, with at least three release a week and more if I am able.
