Arriving back at the hotel, Ryu found his sensei drinking sake in the hotel room. Which he didn’t really mind, but the three piles of Ryo was concerning and her bad habit. Somehow she decided it was too hot as removed most of her clothes. Which he only assume she grew bored and wore only pants now.
“How did she get drunk that fast. We literally arrive in ten minutes after leaving the venue.” Hana asked conflicted as her teacher bust. She wanted to shield Ryu eyes and only look at her, but looks are secondary for him. Besides he already seen most of the shinobi force in the hot spring at one point or another.
“You forgot she a lightweight drinker.” Izumi responded in monotone.
“That she is, actually now I think about it most shinobi are. I once saw a woman streaking down the red light district. Ugliest woman I have ever seen and had a nightmare for a week. Seen that woman with a headband the next day and turned out to be a chunin.” Ryu shuddered at the memory.
“Are you sure she was drunk and not on drugs?” Hana asked.
Tilting his head, “Ah, maybe.” was all he said as his team looked at him.
“Should we get her back into clothes before Yugito comes by.” Ryu said missing the slight glare Hana sent him.
“I suppose so, but how are we going to catch her? She is like a child that doesn't want to wear clothes.” Hana said.
“Don’t worry I got this,” Ryu said as he faced Sui-Feng and lowered his masked.
Putting the mask back into place he watched as his teacher and his teammates pass out with bloody nosed. Blinking as he was sure they didn’t see, he wondered why they passed out. What he failed to notice the window to his left which gave them a perfect reflection. Which was mainly to the sun coming in from his angle.

I guess I will just do it? Ryu shrugged as he quickly dressed his teacher and moved her to the bed. Tossing his teammates on to another, he decided to make a snack as he waited.

Inside the Raikage office, Yugito was facing a buffed man currently lifting a large dumbbell with five hundred on the side. His blonde hair was pulled back as he stared down at her as his large mustache twitched.
“So, you have found out who you were looking for?” He said.
“Yes, Raikage. According to Nibi she also mention we have a potential of being a bond mate.” Yugito replied surprised at the look she received.
“Very well, should by the time the exam is over you still wish to train by his side. I will look at the chance to make an alliance with his village.” A grumbled unhappy as the two villales relationship is strained. The feeling of executing his entire council who thought it was a bright idea to kidnap a Hyuuga heiress than demand admens.
“Thank you. I will be borrowing one of the training fields as he has agreed to train with me.” Yugito bowed and left.
Still looking down at the spot the young teen, A let out a small laugh. He wondered how the two will turn out in the future. Only to sigh as he looked over to his paperwork, and shake his head at it.

Standing in the center of a training field, Ryu was facing Yugito who was staring him down. The two of them we in their fighting stances not making a move. As of reading each other's mind they launched at each other.
Parrying Yugito punch, Ryu countered with a quick jab towards her chest. But instead of hitting flesh, he hit the empty space as Yugito leaned her body. Hopping back, as both of them were at a disadvantage. For Yugito it was an awkward angle for her and zero balance or able to put power behind any strike. Ryu on the other hand couldn’t put much striking power behind his and he would leave an opening.

Rapidly throwing three kunai at her, which she brilliantly blocked and threw one back. Ryu sighed as he wondered why he agreed to this. Why out of everything she chose taijutsu with only shuriken and kunai was beyond him.
Dashing towards each other, two kunai clashed against each other as sparks fell to the ground between them. Neither arm shaking or struggling as neither used chakra to increase their strength. Jumping backwards they both threw out a few shrunken which fell as they collided.
Jumping forward again, they attempted a few kicks and punches which the other either blocked or parried effortlessly.
“Why are you strong for your age.” Yugito said shaking her hand a bit. The repeated strike in the same spot began to add up causing a bit of soreness.
“I could say the same.” Ryu said doing the same.
“How are you predicting and blocking most of my moves. It as if my fist keep hitting your palms.” Yugito asked curiously.
“Hmm, that for me to know and you to figure out. Most experienced fighters and shinobi have it and use it subconsciously in some cases.” Ryu shrugged with a chuckle at her unbelieving eyes. “You have been using part of it as you been instinct been blocking a few of my blows.”
“Fine don’t tell me.” She yelled with a pout.
Shrugging as he sent an eye smile towards her they began their spar once again. However, they failed to notice a man with dark tanned skin, shades and white scarf and headband watching. On his right cheek he has two blue lines and attempting to rap at the two teens moves.
“Well, look at the two go.” The man thought as he watched the two move around chunin speed and grew faster.
“I will say, they are quite skilled for their age.” a deeper voice answered but the man remained unfazed.
“I wonder which one will win?” The man thought.
“I say the boy. He seems to have more stamina that Yugito. Unless she draws upon Nibi of course.” The voice answered.
Nodding in agreement, the man continued to watch as the spar heated up.

Arriving at the venue arena the next morning, with a slight yawn, Ryu looked at the surviving teams. From what he could tell over half was eliminated or what he assumed to be half. Searching the crowd for his rival he spotted him watching his teammates arguing.
“Alright, listen up for the second part of the exam normally its collecting scrolls, or a survival test. I decided to switch it up as I believe strength is route to success. So, each one of you will be carrying a bag of one hundred fifty pounds through a forest. You will have three days to get through the forest, where you need to fend against the elements, animals, and other teams.” A woman with large muscular arms called out.
“That is disturbing.” Hikari commented once they seen the woman.
She had long black hair and green eyes with a pretty face. Her body on the other hand was ripped with muscles. The sight was nearly on par with Might Guy and his green suit. While most decent shinobis have muscles, she was like a civilian body builder.
“I will have to agree, and it couldn’t be practical for those muscles. The unnecessary muscle mass will make it hard to blend in and fit into smaller spaces.” Ryu said with a shiver as the woman winked at the males.
“This is going to be troublesome.” Hana whispered.

To participate in the Culling, a battle-royale style tournament that’s televised live to the world, where all the worst criminals go to die. As with all tournaments, a prize is on the line. If Algier survives, he can have any wish granted by the Marquises, the new rulers of Earth following the demons’ invasion. However, there’s little hope for survival in a tournament designed to have demons do the work of the executioner, especially for a human. Demons are stronger, faster, wiser, and more talented than the average human, and, despite his crime, Algier is no demon hunter. Mentally defeated before the tournament even begins, Algier is torn between becoming another demon’s points and fighting on in his dead mother’s legacy. But should he choose to fight, there is one advantage that Algier has that can tip the odds in his favour: Demons don’t lie, but humans can. How to read this story Demons Don't Lie is written from the perspective of an unreliable (lying) narrator. There are many inconsistencies within the story which are placed there intentionally. It's up to the reader to decide what is the truth and what is the lie. Promotion Full quality cover image
