Chapter - 7
As Laxavis screeched, Rex could faintly feel that he was happy.
"I can vaguely understand your emotions! Oh! And you're a male. Cool!" (Rex)
SKREE!
Laxavis seemed to agree with him. However, he also seemed to be offended that Rex had thought of him as anything other than male.
"Jeez! Fine! Fine! Now that we've got out of the way, let's head out of here! You should be familiar with this Forest, right? Do you know if that huge spire in the distance is a settlement or a clue to civilization?" (Rex)
Laxavis moved his head from side to side.
"You don't know? Or....it's not a settlement?" (Rex)
Laxavis cocked his head to the side. Rex frowned as he felt several emotions from him. From what he could understand, the spire was an extremely dangerous place. Even Laxavis was apprehensive of it.
"Intriguing.....let's remember that for the future. Do you know a way out of this forest then?" (Rex)
This time, Laxavis gave an affirmative nod and expanded in size. He motioned Rex to mount his back. Rex did so after a little hesitation.
"Alright now where to-Wooahh!" (Rex)
Before Rex could finish his sentence, Laxavis took off and started heading westwards. Once again, Rex felt a familiar trauma come knocking at his door.
"At this rate, I'm seriously considering that I may develop vertigo....or just never consider being up in the air again.." (Rex)
As Laxavis kept his bearing to the west, Rex enjoyed the view from his back. It wasn't that he hated being this high in the air, but that every time he had ended up here, it had been in a violent manner.
"Haa....I have to pick a preferred combat style. So far I've always played the Swordsman class...or a Mage Class or both...I want to try something different this time. An Assassin isn't my type plus I'm a Draco-Elf...something Fast but also Strong....maa...whatever I can think of is related to the Swordsman class....oh well...now that I have Laxavis...I'll look like a Hunter..!? That's it! I want to take up the bow! Also, some magic and a little swordsmanship! But only short sword! Yes! I see my future now!" (Rex)

As Rex was writhing about in excitement on Laxavis' back, Laxavis himself was having some regrets about 'Bonding' a companion so quickly. This regret mostly sprouted from Rex's chuuni-like attitude. However, Laxavis had witnessed Rex's fight with the Blood Hounds and his subsequent escape. He knew that this innocent-faced man should never be provoked. He also felt something terrifying within the Halfling. As they say, "Let sleeping dragons lie."
"Haa...a Hunter won't cut it...a custom class huh? I'll look into it when I reach the city. Anyway, I already know what profession I'm going to take up. Haa...speaking of...Status" (Rex)

"Hoh! Those resistances look so good. My affinities are looking pretty good too. I should train them more. Also, I need more physical combat skills....not to mention some bow skills....Hm?" (Rex)
As Rex was looking over his Status Window, he suddenly felt Laxavis slightly deaccelerate and also lose some altitude. Rex looked up ahead and grinned.
In the distance, Rex could see a large wall which surrounded numerous man-made structures. He assumed it was a city, considering its size. Additionally, the entire city seemed to follow some kind of theme. It was entirely white. Rex frowned as he saw this. However, he didn't have time to dwell on the topic much longer as something much more urgent required his attention.
They were assaulted by a Beast in mid-air. A wyvern to be precise.
"Dammit! Laxavis, dive quickly!" (Rex)
While expressing his anger, Rex immediately adapted to the situation. As Laxavis dived and the wyvern passed over their heads, Rex instructed Laxavis on what to do next quickly.

"Go up again! Good! Now, aim your lightning right at his face!" (Rex)
As Laxavis followed through with his instructions, Rex was making his own preparations.
'Fireball. Compress. Fire Bullet. Break. Barrage!' (Rex)
Remembering what he did with his Wind Balls, Rex followed the same steps as fast as he could. Once he was done, he had, at least, two dozen Fire Bullets at his disposal. However, he didn't fire it yet. He decided to wait for the right moment while also increasing the explosive damage of the bullets.
The opportunity soon presented itself. The third time that Laxavis shot the wyvern in the face while also dodging its attacks, there was enough distance between them and the wyvern was also temporarily incapacitated. Rex fired with gusto.
BOOM!! BOOM!! BOOM!!
Continuous explosions rang out in mid-air as the wyvern was hit by the Fire Bullet: Barrage. Finally, a smoking black carcass fell from the air and landed someplace in the forest.
Rex sighed in relief while Laxavis screeched in celebration.
"Leave the corpse. It's too damaged to be sold or used for materials. I'll have to revise my evaluation of that spell. Jeez!" (Rex)
Rex was frustrated that he couldn't salvage such excellent material. Sighing, he asked Laxavis to continue with their trip.
"Civilization, here I come!" (Rex)
SKREE!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hello! Hello!
Sorry for the delay......I was occupied with other things In-RL....
Anyway....no ratings and no comments yet huh? Oh well....
There's a little clue I left in this chapter (not regarding his profession) and if anyone comments about it accurately, I'll reveal a little bit more! (No, I am not begging for comments......am I?)
Additionally, give me some feedback on what kind of profession Rex should get...I already have one in mind, and while it's pretty generic....i like it....tell me your thoughts!
Adios! Ciao! Alvida!
Author Out!
P.S.-- I'll try to accelerate the chapter release...but, life is kinda busy you know? But! I'll try!

The Last Breath
When Yezzu first sent his sons to the realm of men, they brought with them the magic of the gods. They created the three kingdoms we now have today being Dremshen, Ex'ol, and Kantillion. In the five thousand years since the gods left, much has changed. Great wars were fought, Universities were built, civilizations were created. One thing remained after the gods' departure though, their powers. Today, the balance of crafting the three gods brought has shifted. In the beginning, each had the same skill as the other, but the magic that was passed down through the millennia has diminished. The struggle for power that started long ago is coming to a defining moment. Plots of war and assassination are being weaved. Don't despair, for we may yet be saved from the disasters to come. Our hope lies in three young crafters. The first is William Divus, who sets out from his small village into the Dremshen Kingdom to study crafting after his father's passing. His questions about his father and his quest for knowledge drive him. Next comes Ehzahn Obasi, an Ex'olian thief with unparalleled skill. He steals for the thrill, no longer needing the rewards that come with it. He has just achieved his lifelong dream, but he will soon learn how much he underestimated the fallout from his daring theft. The last is Ki Soru, the niece of a powerful duke. She showed promise with crafting at a young age, so she had the best training the Kantillion Kingdom had to offer. Ten years have passed since her lessons began, leaving the king unsatisfied with the results. Her life is upended when her new teacher arrives, revealing a secret kept from her that changes her whole life. These three are our heroes. They were born in separate kingdoms under vastly differing upbringing, but each with their own part to play in the challenges to come. Here begins our tale of mischief and misery with only but a sliver of hope.

Life in Zora's Domain
An AU about Mipha's and Link's life together post Calamity. I tried to have some fun with this story, taking it in different directions, developing Mipha's and Link's family, making up some adventures, and creating some connections to other Zelda stories. But the main theme is Mipha's and Link's love for each other and building a happy life together. I'm sure I don't always succeed, but I try to keep the story light hearted and generally opt for happy outcomes. The first 2 chapters now incorporate the prequel stories 'His Future is in the Past' and 'Beginning Life in Zora's Domain', so this AU is self-contained in one story. If you've already read the prequels just jump to Chapter 1 - Studying. Cover art where available is by Nurple(twitter dot com/nurpleynurple) and used by permission. Spoiler Warning: This story has spoilers! On the other hand, if you haven't played the game this story won't make sense. This writing is a work of fan fiction using characters and events from the world of The Legend of Zelda TM: Breath of the Wild, which is owned and copyrighted by Nintendo. I do not claim any ownership of the world or its characters. It is a work of my imagination and is for entertainment only. It is not part of the official Nintendo storyline.
