《The Foxy Dungeon》First Draft Ch. 3 A Dungeon's Debut pt.1

"Alright! It's finally time to open up to the outside world!" Shouted the young dungeon with glee. The past few days were mostly uneventful, which to the young dungeon, was like torture. It finished construction on the rooms for it's dungeon, but hasn't but hasn't opened the door yet as he still needed more forces to protect the dungeon so that they won't just die. This was made very clear to the dungeon by Yuna's reaction to having fallen asleep. For a while, she was acting like the world had ended due to her mistake. Calming her down had at least been something that spent time otherwise left to nothing happening.
The dungeon decided to try to create additional Kitsune, as they are clearly a very powerful race with great potential for growth, given that their power grows with each additional tail they grow. To his suprise the next Kitsune only took 5 mana to create. As this was just intended to see what the expenditure would be to create kitsune, such a low, affordable cost was a suprise. The excitment died down once the fact that the new Kitsune couldn't take a human form.
Yuna then explained that for Kitsune to take human form, it would take at least fifty years for the young Kitsune to reach that point. The young Kitsune could also be considered quite weaker than Yuna as it did not hold illusionary powers yet, with it's best offensive power being it's ability to spit out fox-fire. Aslo unlike Yuna, the new Kitsune didn't have the power to manipulate the fox-fire very well. The fox fire would dissipate shortly after it was launched, thus leaving it as a close range attack.
I get the feeling that I could create stronger Kitsune like Yuna, as well as evolve this one past that time limit, but that would require plenty of mana and I'd have to delay the opening to the surface! I really want to know what the world outside is like! I don't think that my Kitsune will be blocked from leaving the dungeon itself, so I will be able to learn more about the world out their! I spend some additional mana to have more Kitsune and give them all orders to guard every second room from the entrance, with Yuna guarding my crystal.

"Now! Without further adu! Lets open the entrance!" I shout as an opening appears letting in fresh air and natural light to the entrance room.
Entance to outside world created. Outside energies mixing. Natural compatibility with outside energies. Mana recovery increased + 4.
And with that I can now refill my mana within half day as oppose to the two and a half that I needed before! I knew nice things would come from opening up to the world!
Very shortly after the entrance appeared, Shane's party entered the dungeon. "Man, why did this stupid dungeon take an entire day to open up! And what's with the left turn! Don't dungeons start out with a direct path to their core to start with?" Complained Walter as the group studied the room around them. "That's enough with that, we've got a job to do, come on!" Commanded Shane. "Everyone Keep your wits about you. This Dungeon's got a few tricks, but it's still a fledgling! If we keep calm, things will go fine. Lets move!" Thus the party marched forth.

An Average American in A High-school Academy Anime
An American versed in narrative tropes and more than mildly acquainted with anime wakes up in a completely different bed than the one he went to bed in. Now he has to scramble to understand where he is, what's going on, and hope to God he isn't in a relationship drama. I don't expect this to be good or well-received, but I have plenty of time this quarantine, so I'll try to get a chapter of 4000-10000 words out every one or two weeks. (haha) Please let me know how it can be improved. I'm an avid reader of fiction, but I've never really fallen down a rabbit hole so hard that I can name all tropes and settings and such by heart. I'm not sure if this will be effective satire, so I preemptively apologize. Inspired by: "My Life is Not a Manga, or maybe..." by EO Tenkey and "The Simulacrum" by Eganthale. Check them out if you want probably better stories than this one.
