Skeleton

Dumping the massive amounts of gold into what was basically a pit filled with two hundred years or so of shit was kind of entertaining. There was no way any of those humans were going to look at the bottom for anything. I decided I would keep the platinum and some of the better loot. I bet i could buy a lot of swords and armour for the platinum alone. Or a Castle a small one with a bunch of undead knights.

Well I needed to survive this before making better plans but i bet the look on those ministers faces when they realized they did not have enough gold to pay there troops would be priceless. I had the the skeletons dump the bodies of the the guards in the tunnel. I would collapse it on my way out and leave the corpses with a resurrection spell on them. They would wake up in week or two and burrow out to attack the city.

I had a sudden idea I moved towards the worm that had dug the local tunnel and cast a minor spell on it. It would attempt to dig to the local well. Hopefully it would fall in and die there. With any luck it would poison the well.

I strolled down the tunnel to my escape route with a massive bag of platinum and Jewels on my back and I would have had a grin had I been human. I was still in a good mood when I reached the the bottom of the tunnel and got ready to exit up a latrine that was near the aqueduct .

I pushed the loose bricks that Lion had loosened and stared up a someones fat ass. Well no need to be bashful I shot a ice bolt at whoever was about to crap into sewer below. Time being of the essence i jumped up and grabbed the nails that Lion had left me.

I heard screaming from above me. “It hurts agh someone shot me in the arse with a ice bolt Billy pull it out” “Fuck you Gerard you just shit on your pants i am not going near that. Oh fuck that stinks.” i was glad this sort of thing did not upset me as the nails were covered in shit. I pulled myself out of the hole and kicked the screaming Gerard in the balls. After all if i had not shot that bolt he would have crapped all over me.

Gerard flew three feet into the air and collapsed. I love super strength. I was actually a little upset having to crawl out of a sewer. Judging by for far Gerard went I bet i broke all his family making equipment. I guess i would ask Elizabeth if getting upset because I had to crawl up a toilet was normal. Billy took one look at me and began to scream “A shit monster run for your lives” he let out a girly scream and ran for it.

I thought about it Angels. They were holy warriors time to make a run for it. I only had a high resistance to holy weapons. I still suffered from my class skeleton weakness to holy weapons. They I remembered something. Angels had wings they most likely could fly. My escape route was down the aqueduct. No human could have survive this method but i did not breath and was fine. However I had a huge problem. Angels could fly and were most likely fast. I was only planing on using the acquaduct part of the way. The angels most would have a mental map with my location on it. The angels would fly above my head and pelt me with blessing and arrows.

Mia could be vindictive I was betting all the angels were at least on my level. There was no way i was going to survive the dash to freedom. I looked at the pit i had just pulled myself out of and jumped back into it. I fell past the opening Lion had left and into what waited below.

Disgust learned

I crawled out of that and pulled myself back up to the Tunnel hole and set off towards my Ice Titan.

The prison had been designated a dungeon and i could use it to contact Ronan. I ran up the tunnel i did not have much time. I raced up to the prison.

me>Ronan we have a problem

Mia goddess of harmony>That is right bitch my troops are going to slowly break all of your bones

me>Good luck with that angels have wings i am in a cave. There wings are actually a major liability inside the cave.

Ronan> Sounds good kill those heathen light worshiping sons of goats. Only try to survive after you do. The re-spawn ability is a decent one but you will want to level up more before you use it the first time.

Me> i am inside a tunnel i will collapse this entrance that only leaves the prison entrance. Somehow i doubt that it will be easy for the angels to get past my ice skeleton. Somehow i doubt those angels will be able to dig me out I am digging straight down.

Mia goddess of harmony> Wait what you can not do that it will take months for my angels to dig you out.

Me> Hopefully years or never.

Mia goddess of harmony>You must see the bigger picture your death will allow humans to evolve to a higher level of existence. However I will allow you to put off the day you die. If you will return the gold I will call off the angels.

Me>Na my escape route has been blocked i could try others but i do not trust you not to release those angels again. I think i will stay in this nice secure prison.

God of light>We are going to mess you up. We will invent all new ways to torture you asshat.

me> I am covered in shit and stuck in a prison. There is a whole army of troops above my head trying to kill me. So you can wait behind the army of humans for your chance to try to mess me up.

Mia goddess of harmony>The humans are suffering so. They go hungry that gold could allow them to eat. Surely you must see that

Me>Yeah that was gold the type you use to pay mercenaries. So cut the crap you use script to pay farmers. I am digging in and your just going to have to dig me out.

How stupid did Mia think I was the local farmers were usually given contracts which the church would redeem later. The gold was to pay for mercenaries who did not work for credit. Time to get ready. I ordered the two skeletons who had been ordered to collapse the tunnel to the prison once the humans attacked my ice titan to gather the sub standard bodies i had left above me and move them into the tunnel. I got the impression i was going to need every undead minion I could summon.

Then I had a idea i had the doors and grate that had the anti magic spells thrown down. I just had to give my skeleton minions time to dig.

I decided it was time for some ice magic. I cast a cold spell on the floor just below the only opening into the cave. It would attract water and slowly become a sheet of ice. If say you were being lowered by a rope. You would jump down the last few feet to avoid the arrows my skeletons would be shooting. Then hopefully you would slip and break there back or hit the ice spikes my spell would create.

I sat down and began to use my spells to summon up spirits. They would take control of the bodies that had been piled up. When i was about half way threw the summonings a rope was thrown and some knights tried to lower themselves down. I waited until they the first two were half way down and picked up a bow and shot one of them in the head.

He actually had decent armour the arrow glanced off. He let go of the rope and fell to the ground with a bang. His leg bent at a unusual angle and he fell onto a couple of ice spikes which broke off his top quality armour. That is when my ice titan moved forward and smashed in his head with a single blow.

The other knight tried to climb up the rope. Had i been human i might have laughed at the idiot. He was wearing full body armour. So it was barely possible to lower yourself barely. Of course you would have to go slow. But given the knights strength climbing back up was impossible. I shot at him a couple of times but my arrows kept bouncing off his armour. I got bored of shooting him with my ineffective arrows and fired a ice bolt.

The knight screamed and released the rope he hit the floor with a crunch. I went over and had my ice titan pull the bodies away from under the hole to the level above so i could loot the bodies. The knights had very high quality armour and weapons. It looked like they had some amazingly powerful scrolls. Turn undead and blast of holy light.

Still it was a twenty foot drop. No one could jump that and hope not to slide. The ice that had built up on the ground would stop even magic enhanced rogues from simply jumping down and blasting me and my skeletons with a bunch of scrolls. I hoped they would try at least once.

I put the bow down and thought about it the bow was too weak I needed a seriously powerful bow. I had super strength. I could in theory shot a arrow with so much power it would go threw a knight and kill the knight behind him. Or i could once i got myself a serious bow.

I decided to leave the ropes I could always use a fire ball spell to burn them. Of course it would be better to wait until the enemy were on the ropes. I cast a icy swarm spell and a bunch of ice insects flew up the opening. The two servants who had been observing the fight died almost instantly.

I sat down and opened my mental map. I would have my skeletons begin to dig two or three escape tunnels. The beautiful thing about skeletons is we do not breath. I could have my minions dig a hole straight down and construct tunnels outwards like the spokes on a wheel. Then when the time came to run I could pick a tunnel and collapse the others behind me. The only problem i had were the angels they would most likely have my location on there mental map.

I would think about it later. For now i would prepare and have my skeletons collect the wood that was holding up the tunnels that i would be using anymore. This would case the humans above my head problems maybe they would be more likely to try to talk to me with there city falling into the ground.

I sensed threw the eyes of the swarm on ice insects above my head a couple of men at arms coming to check things out. I let them enter the tunnel above my head and look down at my ice titan. I decided to let them go as i did not what a massive response just yet. I wondered what they thought had happened to the earlier observers.

My skeletons tunneled into the side of the prison. If you use a giant cavern in the side of a hill as a prison well do not expect the walls to sand up to a bunch of skeletons armed with pickaxes. The giant worm was also progressing nicely. The temperature in the cave was beginning to plummet. And icicles were forming on the ground under the entrance. So the guards could drop down the twenty feet onto a bunch of icicles that looked like small swords. Then they could slide around while my archers and mages shot at them. Finally they could attack my ice titan and myself.

I felt the first wave of troops run into the corridor and jump onto the ropes. The first few died screaming as my skeleton slingers used the rocks they had just dug out of the ground to kill a few. I wanted most of them on the ice before I let the ice titan loose.

They one of the troops on the ice used a sanctuary scroll. This would push back lesser undead. I cast darkness over part of the ice and moved forward with my ice titan. We moved in a two different spirals. I could see fine my ice titan moved one hand and then another and every time it moved a hand a soldier died.

I moved slowly using a minor spell on my feet to stay stable. I slashed out at the soldiers who were blind. Once we had cleared off the majority of the soldiers I moved backwards and turned my gaze upwards. My senses reached out and i sensed the human mages and clerics moving forward to cast there spells while the soldiers tried to keep my busy by dieing.

Time to let loose I moved my mind into the swarm of ice insects and slammed them into the clerics and Mages. Who went down with barely a scream. I looked around and cast a larger darkness. With the entire area blanketed in darkness i simply moved forward and killed the remaining soldiers. I needed to hurry and collect the bodies above they would come in handy.

What the hell this was messed up i wanted a name but all i got offered were these terrible ones. I mean at this point I would have accepted the dark one or even the slightly insane one. Who decided on the name slaughter.
