《Library Magic》Chapter six: Growing up - Part 3

Year 7
Today was the day I was taught how to wield weapons. It seems this world has another type of magic, well, it is questionable if it's actually [Magic], as it has the same mechanics as my [Powers]. It only absorbs mana inside the body. Let's get back on topic. Weapon magic, as the name implies; it is magic that imbues mana onto the weapon. It also imbues mana on what kind of attack you make; such an attack is called a [Technique], an example is my father's 【Black Lions Roar】. It is an original [Technique] that my father developed and is teaching to me currently. 【Black Lions Roar】 is a move that emits sound from whatever you are currently wielding, for my father's weapon, a long scythe, a visible vibration is emitted towards the direction you swing and whatever it hits will be liquefied in an instant.
Currently, I am deep underwater. It is a place that my father created his magic. The magic is called 【Dominion: Deep Abyss】. It is a high leveled dark magic, which only the best of the best in the dark element can use. 【Dominion】 is an illusion type of magic, it can send enemies into a virtual space created inside of the mind of the user and whatever type of place you thought of when you first used the magic will be created, a person can only have one domain their whole life. The weakness of this magic is, whatever happens to the body inside the domain will happen in the real world, and when you cast this spell, the user's real body will be in a passive state, vulnerable to outside influence.
I am now in this domain, training on how to use 【Black Lions Roar】. This is exactly how my father learned it. With the help of his dominion, he developed the technique. Training the 【Black Lions Roar】 consist of resisting the pressure, which is increasing the deeper I dive. I also need to clear my thoughts, which I find difficult, as I need to control my mana in my body to resist the pressure. I'm also wondering why I need to clear my thoughts to begin with, I don't even understand the correlation. Well, it's not the time to be complaining, because I just remembered that I need to clear my mind.

Year 10
I am now 10 years of age. I had already mastered and improved the 【Black Lions Roar】 to the highest degree in a short 1 year of time. My dad said that when he was training the 【Black Lions Roar】 it took him almost 2 years and another 5 years to master it. My father had a pitiful face when he said it that time. I also experimented on my Storage Ring. It can now store things that are doubled the size of a sword and can store about 300 swords. It's a pretty good improvement, especially in the quantities that I can store. I am now currently in the process of mastering 【Dominion】too. My domain is called 【Dominion: White City】. It is an abandoned city. When I said city, I don't mean city like in this world, it is a city like in my world, it has tall skyscrapers and highways but there are no cars or people in it. When I sent my father there, he was in awe at my creativeness as he said that, a domain is hard to create the first time the user use 【Dominion】. That was why his dominion consists only of water and darkness. It was good that he didn't ask on how I imagined such things but based on my father's character, which is an airhead, he most likely didn't find it weird.
I was in my own domain fighting 20 minotaurs. Minotaurs are big monsters with a head of a bull and are as big as a small bus. They are also carrying some huge mallets. It is probably too late to mention this, but my choice of weapon is a whip and some throwing daggers that I store in my Storage Ring. I know a whip is a strange choice for a weapon to my gender, but the only type of people that will mention it in my presence is my enemies. They won't even have time to mock me, as they will be either dead or too busy dodging my relentless whipping. While I was thinking of that stuff, the last of the minotaurs has already dropped dead on the ground. They didn't even leave a scratch on me, such pitiable monsters.

Fragments from the Wildlands
“Your first death is always the hardest.” Miguela was the third-born child of a well-off merchant family and knew from around the time she could speak that her life’s path was already decided. She was to become an Orator, as was Xandran tradition. However, Miguela had an affinity with the magikal arts and somehow found herself studying at the Academy. She did just enough to keep up with her studies but never found the motivation to apply herself and “reach her potential,” as her instructors often said. It was not that Miguela was uninterested in the arts. Rather, she knew her time at the Academy ultimately did not matter. Whenever Miguela returned home, she would become an Orator, and that would be that. Or so she believed until, one day, an opportunity appeared that would change her life. Miguela was offered the chance to join a research team tasked with a mission of the utmost importance to the future of the Five Kingdoms. She could not turn down the prospect of regaining control of her life and finally finding a purpose for herself. Of course, Miguela might soon discover that offers that appear too good to be true are usually fraught with lies. Welcome to Five Kingdoms of Cordizal! Question: What is the Five Kingdoms of Cordizal? I often get asked this type of question about my stories by friends, bloggers, and potential readers. The Five Kingdoms of Cordizal is a high-fantasy epic universe that is the setting for most of my stories. The foundation of the universe is its multicultural, multiracial setting with several sentient races attempting to carve their legacy and survive. The world is fully fleshed out and vibrant with a rich and mysterious history not based on Tolkien mythology. This brings me to magic. To me, magic is an essential part of the fantasy genre, so, of course, there is magic in the Five Kingdoms universe. However, one critical part of the Five Kingdoms universe is that magic is an abundant commodity that is a part of everyday life and not some plot device used to drive the story. In short, the Five Kingdoms universe is the setting of epic fantasy stories with deep characters and world-building. I try to tell as many different types of stories as possible in the universe, and hopefully, you can find something for you in it.
8 98The Elemental Arena
*A Rational-Adjacent litRPG Survival Series.* The time for the trials has come, pitting the mortal species of the galaxy against one another. By completing challenges, clearing dungeons, and defeating rival species, the players may forge themselves stronger and smarter. But only one species will be declared the winner. Earth has finally qualified... ...and participation is mandatory. A twenty-nine year old data entry clerk works together with a group of internationally diverse players to survive. Learning synergistic skills and using teamwork, can humanity achieve an upset? If they don't, their lives are forfeit. Author's note: Chapters will be anywhere from 6k to 10k in words, varying based on the plot beats instead of specific word counts. Realistic actions and teamwork will be important aspects of my story. I'm trying something a little different in writing a realism focused litRPG, hoping to capture the essence of how real people would react to their situation. People are complex and don't always get along. I don't recommend starting the series expecting wish fulfillment tropes just because it's tagged litRPG. It's a survival story with the game settings on Hell difficulty. The plot hasn't gotten there yet, but in the future of the series I want to recreate my nostalgia of forty person raids on Ragnaros, but with the high stakes of boss battles in Sword Art Online. I also love puzzle rooms so expect one of those each book. Warnings: mild PG-rated language, graphic violence and gore, and graphic medical content.
