Nearly a month after the beginning of Sovereign’s Battleground, the world is slowly returning back to normal, players continue to protect civilizations and push monsters back. A couple of unfortunate countries were swept by the monsters, hundreds of millions of lives were lost.

Han Ling sat on the edge of a cliff, on the East side of Japan, facing the Pacific Ocean. He checked his watch again.

11:55 pm

He stood from the edge and a white sabre appeared in his left hand, while he pulled an obsidian black sword from a purple rift opening next to him.

Hollow asked.

“Yes. From now on, the world will change, for better or worse.” A flame rose in his eyes, “But I’ll protect humanity, with the knowledge of my past life, I will survive…”

Han Ling took this time to remember the future, all the major key points, the enemies and the allies. In the first world change, humans, elves and spirits were the first to spawn on Earth, transported from the planet Itone. Luckily for Earth, Itone was a peaceful planet, but they had a longer experience with Sovereign’s Battleground compared to Earth. Their average player levels were almost 40, with some of the powerful figures at level 60.

I know my enemies, and I will find my allies. This time… I will survive.

Han Ling stared at the blue line that appeared in front of him.

[Planet Earth will undergo the First World Change.]

[Changing…Changing…]

RUMBLE! CRACK! BOOM!

The ground shook, the sky cracked, the sea stilled. All logic was thrown out the window, a bright glow covered the ground and spread out. Han Ling opened his eyes as the light subsided and grinned from ear to ear at the sight.

An entire new land formed over the sea, a thick forest replaced the sea. Han Ling took a step forward and landed on soft grass, he grinned in satisfaction, laughing inwardly at the thought of people panicking from this.

First things first, I have to reach Springtown before morning, but no one said I can’t farm…

Han Ling smiled before looking down at Obsidian Hollow, “I’ve been on this world for 20 years, I know this place like the back of my hand, don’t worry.”

I wonder if Springtown has Metile… Han Ling smacked his lips in anticipation and stepped into the darkness of the forest.

In a new island on the Atlantic Ocean…

A gleaming city loomed over the sea, holy white light bathing the city like a protective mother, in the centre of the city was a humongous golden and white church, with the statue of a goddess nestled right at the entrance. Inside the church was an old man wearing a white robe, his hair was white along with his long beard that went down to his stomach. He spoke in a calm but firm voice to his three subjects kneeling on the ground.

“The goddess has provided a new land for us, we must make our stand in this new world, send scouting parties all over, I want to know everything about this world!”

“Your holiness, what about threats?”

The elderly pope stroked his long beard before answering, “Attempt communication, we would not want bloodshed, advise search parties to use Language mastery spells to communicate.”

“Understood, your holiness.”

One of the kneeling men left the grand hall of the church. The pope then turned to other two, “Lancelot, tighten our defences. Siegfried, shore up our soldiers, I have a feeling we’ll need to be cautious.”

Both men bowed deeply before leaving as well. The pope breathed out a long sigh, “May the goddess protect us.”

In the East China Sea another island appeared, but this had a lush green forest covering the land like a blanket of green. But one tree stood out, quite literally, it was at least a dozen times taller than the other trees, with its branches spreading out in a large circle, at least a couple dozen kilometres wide.

But on the branches were little huts, home of the elves. In the trunk of the tree was a room, not too grand, not too spacious, but comfortable. The king of Wood Elves of Isbel sat at the top of the table, with two rows of officials on his right and left.

The wood elf king Kailu Faric, breathed out a heavy sigh, turning to an elf with a bow strung across her back. “Hunter Moonless, please report what you’ve found.”

The hunter nodded and recapped her findings, “Isbel has been transported into a new world, the great forest of Isbel stays untouched but about 60 kilometres away, there lies a plain that is unfamiliar to Itone. I have also found humans settlements, but they seem to be unlike the Itonian humans.”

“As you’ve heard, we are in a new world, with new dangers and new lands. The first thing is too shore up our defences and soldiers, we would need more power to protect the great forest. The second is to meet with these humans, Moonless and a party of hunters will attempt communication, hopefully we will have good results…”

The rest of the world was thrown into panic as the rumbled scared everyone half to death. China was the first to find a new island, informing the world of a new humanoid species called wood elves.

A group of wood elves appeared in a village at the coast of China and communicated with the residents. A global meeting was announced, with dozens of countries agreeing to meet in the new island of the Holy Empire Estia. But other than the Holy empire, other human civilizations also participated in the meeting, as well as elves and spirits.

Each country or civilization picked a representative, be it their strongest player, the guild leader of the top guild, or the president of a country. The date of the meeting was just around the corner, but for a certain swordsman, he sat in a bar with a satisfied smile on his face…
