《Magic Squared》Chapter 14 : Needs Must

Chris was having a small crisis, he had not felt himself for some time. His emotions had been distant, dulled. He was currently looking at some pickpocket in his twenties feeling hunger, that made him feel like he should feel sick. Yet he felt himself edging forward eying the man's neck.
He paused, to consider. How had his death affected him.
How did having a non living body affect him?
Well one thing would be the lack of chemical signals in the brain. His flesh may not be decaying, yet it was not alive. This would account for his dulled emotions and more logical way of thinking. Yet he was still thinking, therefore his brain was operating at some level.
So where did his desire come from, had his very mind been altered. Was he even still himself. How long had it been since he thought about his mother. He just felt a faint sadness when he thought about her. This worried him, to think that his personality had been changed, was he still him.
Chris clenched his fist, it was not even hard enough to draw blood weak as he was.
What was he willing to do to survive. Did he want revenge badly enough against someone who he thought had tortured him. No, he was just making up a purpose, a reason he wanted to live.
He knew at this moment he could let himself waste away, again. Like in the dark void last time he died he had a choice. To live or pass from this world.
He chose with his actions, no one in this world was perfect. He may not have a purpose now but he would give himself one. He was far from the pinnacle of magic. His abilities could be compared to 4th maby 5th tier mages, yet they were common as far and powerful mages were concerned.

He would make his path, to reach the pinnacle of magic. He had the knowledge, he just needed more power. Perhaps this man in front of him could provide it. Perhaps he had changed, he was no longer scared. He did not know how he had changed into what he was, but he would have to embrace it.
Chris reached towards the man being held by Velona, gripping the man's arms. The fear was palpable on his face, sweat soaked his dark hair and beaded on his forehead. He was skinny, but not overly so, he must have only just fallen on hard times.
Chris bared his fangs and slowly, delicately sank them into the man's neck. He was expecting a fountain of blood to spurt into his mouth, but barley tricke came out. He wiggled his head widening the wounds and heard the man cry out.
The little blood that had spilled into his mouth tasted sweet, savory and many other good flavors. Not like the bland food hea had tried. He retracted his mouth and went higher on the man's neck biting over and over trying to find a vein.
Eventually he found the vein after mauling the man's throat for over a minute, it was a bloody affair yet Chris found himself not minding. It was like shoving his face in a pot of honey, sweet and filling.
The man had stopped screaming when he fainted.
Chrsi felt the blood flow down his throat filling his insides and fekt strength flow through him as his stomach grew warm.
He stood blood dripping from his mouth and smiled. He knew not whether he was in the right or the wrong, but he did like that taste.

Take Two!
College student majoring in botany has a fateful encounter with truck-kun while trying to get back in shape after realizing that his freshman 15 turned into the sophomore 20, and then the junior 30. After going through a very amusing(to some) hell, he gets the chance to transmigrate into a body of his own design on a magical world. Playing to his strengths, he chose the Plantkin race, and the new name of Sorrel to match. This is a slow-paced, magical, slice-of-life story with a focus on relationships. There will be sex(I'll try to keep the explicit stuff to a minimum, but it will be there), swearing, really bad jokes, and enough food to spoil your diet. There will not be a lot of action, epic quests to save the world, or anything even remotely resembling a big-bad-evil-guy(a few smaller bad guys, sure. But, no BBEG). Note: This is a re-write of my first story "Congratulations, You're Dead!". And, is much more what I wish I had written in the first place. The characters and the world are very similar, with a few key differences. The story may borrow some elements from Congrats, but should be considered as its own work. Reading Congrats first is not needed, or even reccommended, not unless you want to see some really cringey romance in the early chapters.

The Merchant Adventurer
Boltac, an ordinary, money-grubbing Merchant takes on the impossible quest of saving his town and rescuing the woman he loves from a treacherous and powerful Wizard. An artful, satire of dungeon crawls and cRPG's, the Merchant Adventurer is part Princess Bride, part Dungeon Pawn Stars and a rollicking good read.

Ireland, 1305. Six are called: warrior, druid, healer, scholar, harper, witch. Summoned in a dream on the Eve of May, they are charged by the Earth itself to thwart an invasion from another realm. Note that I might be over-cautious with the content warnings. "Gore" consists of some fights and people turning to stone. Sexual Content appears infrequently, is intrinsic to the story, and never graphic. Chapters to be posted every Friday and Tuesday Cover photograph courtesy of SandiePhotos www.sandiephotos.com.

A Tyrant: Unshackled
A man once lived in a modern world, surrounded by the tragedy of humans, he was despaired. He did his best to ignore it. Did his best to hide in the safety of his own circumstances. But eventually the tragedy reached him. And when it did... it left a broken man, who was tired of the world and it's circumstances. He took things into his own hands. He would change the world. But this story isn't about that. For after all was done, the man dying peacefully on his own terms, he would have a new life ahead of him. Now unbound by attatchments and responsibility, in a completely new world for him to explore, he would make sure his new life didn't end up like the last one. This fiction won't be updated regularly due to my own circumstances and while I will try to update it often, I won't always be able to. That being said I hope you enjoy this little work of mine. I'm not an experienced, and don't consider myself a good author in any way. But hopefully some people will enjoy this fiction like I do writing it, regardless of that.
