《YOLO?》Chapter 55

Day 1,872
The two months gave my army proficient time to become proficient at horse riding and shooting with the bow and arrow while riding.
We could hear the thundering footsteps of the beast man army marching towards us. I informed my men that I was not going to save them with magic unless we are at a serious disadvantage so they know not to depend on me.
The enemy army stopped at about 100 meters away from us. I was using wind magic to keep myself afloat so that I have a good view of what's happening during the battle.
I could see about 40,000 beast men and about 20,000 more slaves in the front used as meat shields. A beast man with wolf characteristics came out to the front of his army and in a loud booming voice laid out his claims.
"King of Zion! We have come to exact vengeance upon our species! If you surrender we shall spare your life and take minimal resources to continue our conquest!"-Wolf beast man dude
I ignored him and looked at the terrain around us. We were currently in a vast plain. Our camp was about 2 miles to the west of us and we had a small forest right behind us. I had only about 1,000 horsemen with bows, or keshiks as I like to call them. The rest of my army was hiding in the forest and was waiting for my signal.
I waved the blue flag that I had with me, which signaled for the firing of the catapults that were hidden in the forest.
20 large rocks sailed through the air over the meat shields and hit the beast man army. The enemy began to panic because of the sudden attack without warning.

'Hmph. stupid. This is war. Anything goes.'
Taking advantage their confusion I waved the yellow flag which signaled for the keshiks to charge.
Their tactic was to infuriate the enemy by not getting to close and just shoot from a safe distance, and if the enemy gets too close they can just retreat.
The enemy commander was screaming out orders to put up their shields but he was too close to the front and was shot in the head.
With the onslaught of flying rocks and having their comrades dying in front of them the humans in the front got angry and charged us ignoring orders. When I saw that there was enough people chasing my men I waved the yellow flag and from the forest there was a horn blowing which signaled the retreat for the keshiks.
The enemy thought that we were scared and were retreating so the commanders ordered to chase them. When all of the keshiks were safely within the forest they changed their weapon to one of those large spear things that knights used in old times for jousting.
When the enemy was close to the edge of the forest I waved the yellow flag again and the keshiks came charging out of the forest with their spears and impaled the men on the front lines. Then I waved the black flag which signaled the mages to being firing fireballs and stuff and the blue flag which constantly fired the catapults.
The enemy ordered a retreat but this my men kept on charging and was able to kill many of the meat shields. I also just threw random fireballs aiming for the enemy commanders out of boredom, but I missed most of the time because they usually had magicians with them that could block it.

By the end of the day we lost only about 10 men from the charge, which I thought was very good considering the enemy lost about 3,000 men.
Day 1,873
The enemy seemed to have learned something from yesterday and acted with more caution today. This time they sent their beast men to the front lines.
The beast men have greater physical capabilities than the average man so they must be trying something new.
Today I ordered the mages to go to the front lines. They were riding a horse with each of the keshiks, but I only had about 300 mages while the enemy had about 1,000. I don't know why they didn't do anything with their mages yesterday.
I used the same tactic as yesterday trying to taunt the enemy, except this time my mages were with the keshiks riding behind them firing magic at the enemy.
I scanned the enemy army and realized that they don't really have any bowmen.
The enemy just like yesterday fell for the trap and began charging. I once again ordered for the retreat of the keshiks and they went into the forest.
This time they learned from their mistake and didn't get close to the forest. But they were still being bombarded with giant rocks getting hurled at them which was killing causing some damage. The beast men were pretty fast so they were able to dodge them pretty well but some still got hurt.
The day ended with us losing only 1 mage who accidentally fell of his horse.
Day 1,864
Today I ordered a retreat out of the forest because I learned from my commanders that the preparations were completed.
'Huehuehue... time to finish this.'
The enemy army looked confused at why we were retreating but ignorantly followed us.

The 48 Laws of Power in Practice
Discover how power works in the world, through true stories and real-world applications. In the game of power, we all play - as either conscious or unconscious players. So we can't afford not to know the rules. The ** chapters have the most outrageous content. In each chapter, I will be summarizing one of the laws and how it can be applied to current events and pop culture. Some of you have told me the stories are what you enjoy the most. They are real, raw, and anonymous so that others may learn from my mistakes. There will be cringe-worthy stories of self-sabotage, but perhaps also some unlikely triumphs. Some of the details are changed to protect the innocent, (or perhaps guilty). "The 48 Laws of Power" by Robert Greene illustrates truths about power, through philosophy and lessons from three thousand years of history, which still hold true today. There is a lot to learn from each chapter. I encourage you to go on this journey with me by reflecting on how each law might apply to you. Together, may we learn from the past and take control of the future.
