《The summoner》To Help Sara

After about half hour a car stopped in front of Jack’s house, Jack had made the house into a mess. The tables, chairs and other various things were thrown everywhere, although the things seemed to be thrown around randomly, there was no damage to any of the materials as Jack had carefully placed them everywhere. Jack knew that someone was approaching so he went to a corner to lie down and pretended to be unconscious.
The door wasn’t locked and it was opened by someone, Mary quickly ran inside and looked around, she was very worried about her son. She saw someone at the corner; she ran and approached that person without hesitation. When she was near she recognized the clothes and began crying, she was sure that it was Jack but he wasn’t moving at all. Mary knelt down to check if Jack was alive, her fingers were trembling and tears were flowing from her eyes as she tried to touch him. After confirming that Jack was alive she was relived, she hugged him and cried but this time it was tears of joy.
“Auntie, Is everything all right?” A girl’s voice came from the door.
Jack was happy because his plan was working perfectly but when he heard the girl’s voice he was surprised, he recognized the girl’s voice and if it really was her then the plan is a failure.
“Yes, Sara everything is okay. There is no one here you can come inside.” Mary shouted while wiping her tears with her hand.
Sara and Sam entered inside the house and came near Mary, Sam wasn’t surprised but Sara was worried. She took out her phone and tried to call an ambulance, Sam saw what Sara was doing and he stopped her.
“No need to worry Miss, I can wake him up.” Sam said and knelt beside Jack.

“Are you sure?” Mary asked.
“Yes, I can wake him up. It won’t take even few seconds.” Sam smiled.
Although Mary was unwilling she had no choice so stood up and left Jack on the ground, Sam put his mouth close to Jack’s ear and said, “Wake up, don’t pretend. You will just worry your mother.”
Sam pretended to massage the body, after few seconds he stood up and said, “He will wake up now.”
Jack also knew that there was no use pretending so he opened his eyes and looked around, he pretended to get up with difficulty.
After getting up he looked at Sam and asked, “Where am I?”
“Jack, Are you okay?” Mary asked.
He turned and looked at his mother, “Mom, What happened to me? I don’t remember anything.”
Mary was about to speak but Sam stopped her and said, “He has just woken up. You shouldn’t ask anything. Let him rest.”
Mary nodded and didn’t ask anything else, Sam supported Jack and took him towards his room. Jack also took the support and went inside his room. Mary began to arrange the tables and chairs and put them properly, Sara also helped her.
“Leave me.” Jack threw Sam’s hand.
“Why are you angry? I helped you to regain conscious.” Sam said.
Sam was right behind Jack, when he heard what Sam said Jack grew angry. Jack put his left foot behind and hit Sam with a spinning left elbow but it was easily blocked by Sam, so he tried to hit with a right elbow but that too was blocked. Now both of them were standing face to face, Jack had calmed down and he knew it wasn’t the time to fight so he took a long breath and went towards the bathroom. He had taken clothes to change so after taking a bath he came out and sat on the bed. Sam hadn’t left the room and was sitting on the bed; Jack also sat down as he wanted to ask some questions.

“Does Sara know? What is happening?” Jack asked.
“She doesn’t know anything, you are wrong about her. The birthday party was organized by Mr. Edward and she didn’t know a thing. You know she is very kind, when she heard that you were injured she came here with us despite the warning from her grandfather.”
Jack was lost in thought; he didn’t know what to do.
“Leave me alone for some time.” Jack said.
Sam left the room and Jack was left alone inside the room, he was thinking about the situation of Sara. He just knew that she had nothing to do with the party so he was confused on what to do, as he was thinking he remembered a talk with Sara few months back.
Few Months Ago
Jack was walking home, he had been beaten by Frank during the day and his body was in pain. He was walking very slowly while tolerating the pain, there was no bicycle today so he had to endure the pain till he reached his house.
“Jack, wait for me.” Sara shouted.
Sara rode a bicycle and quickly approached towards him; she stopped in front of him and asked worriedly, “Are you okay?”
“I am fine.” Jack smiled.
“Don’t lie to me; I know Frank has been bullying you. I have told you many times, I can take care of your problem you just have to ask.” Sara said seriously.
Jack thought that she was bluffing; but still he nodded and said, “I will ask for your help if there are problems.”
Present time
Jack smiled as he remembered the talk; he knew what he had to do now. He opened the door and walked outside, Mary, Sara and Sam were talking about something when they saw the door open, Mary stood up first and asked with concern, “Why don’t you rest?”
“I am feeling better now. There is nothing wrong with me.” Jack smiled.
“What happened to you?” Mary asked.
“I don’t remember much, I was walking in the street when some people grabbed me and after that I have no idea what happened.” Jack said while looking confused.
“If they tried to capture you once then they will come again, so we should leave this place.” Sam said.
Mary nodded and said, “Yes, let’s go to Sara’s house. It is safe there.”
"Yes, let's go." Sara said
Sam was worried that Jack would reject the idea but he saw Jack nodding his head and he was very happy. Mary packed some few things and Jack also took some clothes, after that they headed towards the Lotus area.

Valor and Violence
Valor and Violence is a series of short stories following different, yet all equally colourful, characters set in the same world. Birth of a Legend, the first short, follows Captain Erskine Erwell, a newly promoted Captain in the Calandorian Royal Navy, charged with protecting his people from all who would do them harm. Great news for the Calandorian citizens, bad news for the Skjar reavers that ravage the shores in search of slaves. But when a small reaver fleet slips the net and escapes to the southern jungles of Marduk, Erwell must fight a war on two fronts; one against the raiders, and a far more difficult war against the hostile landscape. If he can't find allies in this strange land, he may end up being the one in need of saving. The first part of the second short story will be uploaded on Saturday, the 11th of June, following Ferez Ahud, an aspiring young battlemage charged with the unsavoury job of 'terminating' a rogue member of his college. But how this nobody of a mage became a fugitive remains a mystery, and when the answer is discovered, the tables are turned and the hunter becomes the prey. I'll be uploading chapters of more in-universe short stories each week or as close to, work permitting. Content Guidelines: course language and violence
