《Savior University》Extra: Eiko is a Simple Girl

"You like Saiba Kazuto-senpai?"

"Yeah, he's pretty cool.", I told her.

I am Eiko Kurokku, a first year support student of Savior University.

"Are you sure you like him? You don't even know much about him?", she asked.

We were walking in our class's hallway by the way, wearing our highschool's winter uniform.

"Well..."

I've always been a simple girl.

Just like most people, I've always been attracted to popular handsome guys.

"He was pretty cool in their basketball competition, right? He took my breathe away back then."

"Well, if you say so, Ei-chan."

The person I was talking to was Mi-chan, short for Mina.

She is my best friend, also my childhood friend from kindergarten.

To describe her simply, she's kind of cute, if she took off her glasses and cared more about her appearance.

She had long black braided hair that made her look like the typical class rep.

She always wore the simplest things and doesn't really follow popular trends.

She finds insects like beetles and spiders amazing rather than scary.

She likes reading old comedy comics and works more than classical literature, modern romance novels or manga.

To put it simply, although she would have been really cute, those unique things about her made her look more plain and boring, and worse, weird, if people find out every side of her.

Truthfully, I find those traits of her weird.

...but I'm not faking being her friend or anything. I already told her about how weird those traits of hers was.

She, of course, felt slightly embarassed about me telling her off about it...but she told me that that's just who she really was.

I wanted her to not change though, and even though I find those traits of her weird...

I still like it...

I like weird.

I feel as if that since she shows off that weirdness of hers to me, she the best, and most genuine friend I have.

Although she doesn't really say the funniest jokes, I laugh at them for being too awful that it becomes funny.

Although she wears the most plain and simple clothes, I feel like she can be comfortable around me.

I will happily welcome her if she starts wanting to act cuter, but for now... I'll just enjoy having fun with the weird, sweet her.

"What do you plan to do then?", she asked.

"I want to confess to him this week. I plan to write a letter and put it in his locker.", I replied.

Back to the previous topic, I've always been attracted to the popular cool guys in class.

I've never really had a boyfriend before though, since they usually already had cuter and more popular girlfriends.

I wasn't planning to have a serious relationship immediately, but I want to try feeling love for once.

They do say that lots of girls have always dreamt of meeting a prince on a white horse. and to put it simply, I was one of those girls.

I'm not too much of an otaku, but I sometimes read shoujo manga that I borrow from my sister.

The cool boys in those manga, made me feel as if there might be those in real life too.

Those handsome, strong and sweet guys who'll protect you, cherish you, and treat you like a princess...

"I like you, senpai. Please go out with me!", I told him with a bow.

Me and the brown prince like curly haired handsome senpai, who had a gentle smile, stood behind the school, near a large tree.

"I'm sorry. Are you from the lower years? I don't really know much about you."

'I knew that was what's going to happen.'

"Ok... I understand. I'll-"

"How about we learn more about each other then?", he asked.

I felt a little happy hearing this and slightly smiled at him.

"Does this mean, we can-"

"I'm not trying to ask you out immediately...but since I know nothing about you... How about we learn more about each other before I answer whether we should go out or not?"

"You mean we should start out as friends?", I asked him.

"Yeah. If I feel a connection, I might give you a yes after. You're pretty cute as is, but I don't really know much about you."

I felt a little dejected but kept smiling.

'I guess I could try...'

"Sure! We could exchange phone numbers."

"Ok, here's my number."

I don't really confess much, and most of those I confessed to already had girlfriends, so I was always rejected.

This was a better change of pace though. And even if I'm not given a positive answer yet, there's still a chance for me and that's all that I cared about now.

At this point you might ask, 'do I really love Senpai?'

The truth is, I don't.

I find him cool and all, but I don't really know much about him as well.

...but from what I've heard, he was a pretty nice and sweet guy, and I think that was just my type.

______________________________________

"He didn't reject you?", Mi-chan asked.

"Yeah, he said he wants to be friends and know more about me first before deciding whether to reject me or not."

Mi-chan and I were chatting during lunch break before chewing on the food we collected on our chopsticks.

We were sat in front of each other at the middle of the class.

"Are you sure you should trust him, Ei-chan? His attractive face might just be a cover for his hidden bad personality."

"Don't say that. We don't know much about him yet. What if he's a really sweet and gentle guy just as the rumors say?"

"I'm just worried about you, Ei-chan."

"Thanks, Mi-chan. Don't worry, if I ever need help, I'll call for you right away."

"Be sure to call me right away if something bad happens, okay? I'll be there immediately, carrying a bat, and will quickly drain the blood off their faces."

'Did she just link baseball bats with vampire bats as a joke? That was so bad.'

"What's wrong, Mi-chan? That joke was even worse than normal."

"Heeeh.", she suddenly grinned while holding the middle of her glasses with her index finger.

"How about you tell me a joke then, Ei-chan."

'Uggghhh.... So this is what she was after...'

"...I-I can't wiener this competition.", I said as I hold an octopus shaped wiener from my lunchbox with my chopsticks.

"That was awful, Ei-chan."

"..."

"..."

""HAHAHAHAAHAHA!!""

We both laughed out loud with our stupid jokes.

After which we kept bombarding each other with the most horrible jokes you could ever imagine.

"Karaoke?", I asked with my hand on the phone.

I was wearing my best light blue pajamas playing with my phone while sat on the bed, when senpai suddenly called me.

We've been hanging out with his friends in school for a week now, and today, he suddenly decided to invite me somewhere outside with his friends.

"I'm free this Sunday. Yes. Hehe, that's real sweet of you, senpai. Okay, okay. I'm looking forward to it!", I told him while gently smiling.

"Haaah.", I sighed as I put down my cellphone and lie on the bed.

'Guess I need to like him now, right? I wasn't really that serious before, but now that he seems to like me better now, I might need to try and fall for him for real now.', I thought with a tired expression.

"Falling in love isn't really just as simple as I thought, huh?"

______________________________________

*pak!*, a cute blond twintail haired girl wearing make-up, a skimpy blue dress and a friendly smile slapped my back as me, and a couple more flashy looking people went out of the Karaoke bar.

"That was so good, Eiko-chan! I didn't know you could sing like that!", she told me.

I was wearing a simple red stripes white long sleeve shirt and jeans, while the other girls around me wore hotpants, miniskirts, tight dresses and the likes.

The guys wore fashionable stuff as well.

Stuff like blazers, vests, dress shirts that suited their handsome looks were worn by the men with us as well.

If you look at us from an outsider's perspective, it would seem like I don't belong in this group.

"Y-yeah...", I answered awkwardly.

"You guys were really amazing too...k-kissing and licking with another girl in the middle of singing."

"Come on, Eiko-chan. We were just teasing the boys because they seemed a little bit too impatient. You didn't even try sipping the drinks we offered you."

"I...don't really drink so..."

She then put her arm above my shoulders.

"It's ok. Everyone acts like that during their first times as well. Don't worry... I'm sure Kazuto will...

...take goooood care of you.", she whispered.

I slightly flinched hearing what she just said.

"W-what do you mean?"

"Eiko!", called Kazuto-senpai as he walked out the door as well.

He was wearing a simple blue long sleeve dress shirt with sunglasses clipped on top since he wasn't using it.

"Kazuto-senpai.", I called to him as well.

He walked up to me and suddenly put his hands on my shoulder.

"You really are awesome, you know. I didn't know you could sing like that!"

"Y-yeah....haha, well I do sing a lot at home.", I awkwardly replied.

I felt sort of uncomfortable having him putting his hands on my shoulder, when he didn't even give my confession an answer yet, and he even drank some alcohol earlier as well.

"Senpai, you're kind of drunk. You should go home now and have your friends help you. It's getting dark as well, so I have to head home.", I informed him.

"...

...Do you really love me?"

Kazuto-senpai suddenly asked as if trying to imply something.

"Uhhh... I do...but we can talk about that next time, I should get going-"

He showed me a gloomy face as he heard me say that.

"Eiko, truth is, we're still gonna have fun in my house later."

He made an expression as if begging me to join them.

"Come on, Eiko-chan. It'll be fun. Come with us.", the blond twintail haired girl said as she smiled at us with her arms crossed.

From behind her, I could see two guys from their group looking at her legs lecherously.

I feel somehow unsafe with them.

"I...I'm sorry, senpai. My mom will be very worried if I go home late."

"Really? They won't be that mad if it's just one night, right?", he asked me with an obvious fake smile.

"I don't really like going to a male's house I just met a week ago.", I replied to him, now with a bit of anger.

"Come on, Eiko. Don't be like that."

"Let go of me, senpai."

"Eiko, come on."

"Senpai."

He kept wiggling his arm on my shoulder as he asked me.

I was trying to hold my anger back, but as he kept urging me, and made me more and more irritated.

"Don't you love me, Eiko."

"Senpai-"

"Eiko, you love me, right?"

"Just let me-"

"I love you, Eiko-"

*SLAP*

I suddenly slapped his face.

"Stop. Lying.", I told him with an irritated expression as I pulled his arms away.

He showed me an annoyed expression as he rubbed his cheek.

"Whatever. It's your loss anyways, bitch.", he told me that with an irritated expression.

"Let's go.", he told his friends.

*bump* *bump* *bump*

Lots of then bumped me with their shoulders as they walked away leaving me standing there alone.

"Trying to act like some innocent virgin."

"Bet she thinks she's hot stuff."

I could hear them talk about me as they walked off.

"..."

I stood there with an irritated, sad expression, while looking down.

'Guess I'm heartbroken, huh?'

*Ding!*

Suddenly, my phone ringed once in my pocket.

I pulled it out and unlocked it to see what it was.

================================================================================

Mi-chan: Why did the chicken cross the road?

================================================================================

'It's from Mi-chan...'

"Why?", I texted back.

================================================================================

Mi-chan: Because she thought the road was possessed.

================================================================================

"Pffffft..!", I laughed hard at her home even though it was so horrible.

"You idiot.", I texted back to her.

"Thanks.", I did so again.

'Guess I'm not heartbroken anymore...'

I knew that that finding my prince on a white horse wasn't going to happen easily.

Reality is darker than fiction, and I just had to accept that.

...but at least, no matter how hard things may come across...

I still know someone who would make me feel cringed, embarassed, awkward...

...and happy at the same time.

______________________________________

"Yo, morning.", Akira told me as he put his bag on his seat.

"Good morning, Aki-"

"Good morning, Akira-sama!", Ai-chan told him as she went and seemed like she was offering up the top of her head to him while looking slightly eager.

"Y-yeah, morning, love girl.", he replied to her while patting her.

"Akira, I-", I wanted to talk to him again, but...

"Akira! Good morning!"

"Aichi, good morning!"

Koka greeted Akira with an intimidating smile forcing Akira to pull his hand away, as Sasaki-san did so too with Ai-chan.

"Y-you already greeted me, weaken girl."

"Good. Morning. Akira.", Koka told him again.

"Y-yeah..."

"M-Megu... Is something wrong?"

Good. Morning. Ai.", Sasaki-san told her again.

"Hiiiihhh!!", she voiced out of fear.

"Eiko, is something wrong?", Miichi (Mitsuko) suddenly called out to me.

"You seem to be focused on Ishikawa-sama.", she continued.

'-sama?'

"It's nothing...", I replied to her with a smile.

"By the way, I have plans later so I have to go home early."

"Me too."

The two of them told me with worried expressions.

"Sorry, Eikochi! I'll treat you to some crepes tomorrow!", Hanachi apologized.

"I-I'll write you a ten page apology letter and give you a full-size wedding cake as an apology as well!", Miichi apologized as well, trying to compete with Hana.

"You two... It's ok."

'Guess, I'll try and ask him as later then.'

______________________________________

It was a year after the incident with Kazuto-senpai.

Our class was in a certain predicament right now.

"Maid cafe!"

"Haunted house!"

"Maid cafe!"

"Haunted house!"

The most handsome guy in our batch, Kioshi Yamasaki, was arguing with Mi-chan about what we should do.

Kioshi wanted a haunted house, while Mi-chan wanted a maid cafe.

It might be weird coming from her, but since the beginning of our second year of highschool, she started wanting to look and act cuter.

I helped her doing so too, but her transformation hasn't really completed yet.

"Kioshi! A haunted house will be a really hard thing to accomplish!"

"Come on, Mina. That would be really cool, you know! Besides, do you want to be forced to be leered at by men in your maid outfit?"

"...Ugh, w-well..."

"Well, guess that's it, right? Let's have a vote."

The old, lanky teacher of ours wrote Mina and Yamasaki-san's names on the board.

Us students were then made to put our hands up which idea we want to vote for.

In the end, the haunted house has most of the votes and only two votes went to the maid cafe, including Mi-chan's.

"Guess, this means we're doing my idea.", Yamasaki-san said as he showed a friendly smile to Mi-chan.

"Y-yeah.", she blushed seeing him like this, and looked at the floor.

"Let's do our best!"

______________________________________

Me and Mi-chan were in our classroom eating food from our lunchboxes.

There was a heated argument between Maid Cafes and Haunted Houses earlier here, but now, it's as quiet as possible.

"I was sure I would have won the votes, if it weren't for that idiot, Kioshi.", Mi-chan muttered.

"You do know that other vote for the maid cafe was from me. If there was not a single person rooting for that idea besides us, there was no way it was even gonna get lots of votes."

"I bet the other girls would like to wear maid outfits! And...guys would probably think it's cute as well..."

"Did you read something randomly and got motivated about trying to be a maid because of it?"

"Ughhh....well..."

"I knew it."

'Mi-chan seemed to really want to look cute, huh? I guess it's because they were finally classmates again after so long.'

"I know you like Kioshi, but for you to think about nothing but seducing him is really bold of you, Mi-chan."

"I-I-I do not! I'm not seducing him! I-I just want to be cute for my own sake!"

'She talked about him for the past few years, and now that she finally became classmates with him, she started getting fired up trying to be cuter.'

"Well if you ever need help with wooing him, my hands are always open."

"I-I said I wasn't seducing him..."

"Yeah, yeah."

'No one would believe that if they saw your blushing face right now.'

______________________________________

"Sorry guys! I've got a curfew!"

"My parents are strict!"

"I've got important errands to run!"

"I have to meet up with my cousin!"

"I'm sorry! I'll just finish my part back home!"

Students after students left the classroom and said their farewells.

We were making the decorations, costumes, and other things that helped to make our class look like an authentic haunted house.

There was still a considerable portion of work left, but the students have their curfews, errands and stuff they have to take care of, so less and less people were left there to work.

"You can go home, Ei-chan.", Mii-chan told me as she colored the large illustration board.

There was only about five of us left in the place, Kioshi, another boy, me, Hana and another girl.

There was scary decorations, creepy masks, fake spiderwebs, black curtains and lots of other fear-inducing stuff that decorated the place.

"...but what about you, Mi-chan?"

"I'm fine. If anything, I would like it better if you know... You help me with 'that' now...", she told me while blushing and looking away.

'She's trying to win his heart as well as work hard, huh?'

"If that's what you say, Mi-chan. If you doubt your decision, just give me a ring. I'll come running back!", I told her with a thumbs up, a wink and a smile.

"Alright. Thanks, Ei-chan.", Mi-chan told me with a gentle smile.

'You cutie, if you just show him that smile, I bet he'll fall for you immediately.'

"Goodbye!"

"Goodbye!"

I left the class then and went home.

______________________________________

*Riiinngg* *rrriiiinnnngggg* *riiinngg*

"Ughhh.. what is...?"

I fell asleep as soon as I went to my bed, so I was still wearing my uniform at that time, when my phone rang suddenly.

'It's been just an hour. Did Mi-chan and the others finish it already?'

I then answered the phone.

"Ei-chan...", Mi-chan spoke to me on the phone with a gloomy tone.

"Mi-chan, is something wrong? Why are you so sad?"

I felt as if something bad had happened and felt a bit worried.

"Can you...help me finish this? I need your help with our signboard and the remaining decorations."

"... What about the others?"

"..."

______________________________________

"It's done! You guys did it! You all should especially thank Yamasaki-san too. If it weren't for him being a harder worker than you lazybuns, you wouldn't have finished all of this in time.", our old, lanky teacher told us.

Our classroom has been decorated with dark and scary decorations all over. It seemed like a lot of hardwork has been put on it.

"Yeah, I saw that picture you posted in tw*tter, Kioshi. You're awesome. Thanks for finishing all that."

"Dude, can't believe you did all this. If it weren't for you, we would have failed as a class."

"Thanks for the hard work, Yamasaki-san!"

We were inside the haunted house with the lights on since we haven't started yet.

Our classmates including us, were dressed in all sorts of costumes.

Ghosts, vampires, frankensteins and other creepy monsters. We were all dressed as if we were going to a Halloween party.

"It's no sweat. Don't worry about it, guys. We all tried our best.", he proclaimed with a humble tone.

"I told you guys the haunted house would be a great idea.", he continued.

"This idiot-", I was gonna tell him something with an irritated expression, when suddenly, Mi-chan stopped me.

"Don't do it, Ei-chan."

"...but, Mi-chan-"

"...I... still love him...", she suddenly confessed with her head down low.

"Mi-chan..."

"Okay, now that we're all set. Let's begin!", our teacher announced

______________________________________

"Where's Kiyoshi?", a brown haired plain faced male student asked.

"The teacher allowed him to rest because he worked so hard yesterday. Just let him be. This is the least we can do to pay him back.", a plain faced short black haired girl replied.

The two who spoke were tasked into assisting the visitors of their class's haunted house.

"Should we go, Mi-chan?"

"Yeah..."

Me and Mi-chan were wearing black shirts as we walked away from our classroom's entrance.

We were said to be one of the last to leave yesterday when we worked on the haunted house, so were given less work.

"We should be the one getting that long break, not Yamasaki.", I told Mi-chan with an irritated expression as we walked around the hallway.

Lots of other students wearing stuff like maid outfits, robot costumes, Butler outfits and other stuff were walking around the place.

"... Sorry, Ei-chan."

"... ... It's ok. I don't want to tell you off in the first place since I know you love him too much for that."

"..."

I turn towards Mi-chan, who looked gloomy.

"Hey, how about we head at the back of the school? We can practice your confession to Yamasaki-san there."

"C-confession!?"

"Come on. You love him, right? Aren't you ever gonna confess to him?"

"... I-it's too early for-"

I suddenly tug on her arm with a smile.

"Let's go, Mi-chan!"

"Ei-chan, wait!"

We ran away from the hallways.

______________________________________

Me and Mi-chan were running towards the large tree where I once confessed to Saiba-senpai.

I was tugging on her arm as we ran. She was a bit gloomy earlier but now she seemed a bit more cheery.

We were closing in towards the back of the school. One corner to turn left and we're there, when we suddenly heard someone talking.

"Seriously, dude?"

I stopped my tracks as I heard it and let go of Mi-chan's wrist.

"Haha, I know, right? She's such an idiot."

'That's Yamasaki-san's voice.'

I held on the wall, and sneakily took a glimpse of who was there.

Yamasaki-san and another one of our popular classmate with brown brushed up hair was there speaking to each other with their hands in their pockets.

"Can't believe you just made that girl do all the work, and promised her a date in exchange for getting all the credit for doing it.", the other guy told Yamasaki-san with a devious smirk.

"She didn't even know you did it to get the attention of Amano from the other class."

'Amano, she's that popular, cute girl from the other class, right?'

"She's trying to hide the fact that she likes me too.", Yamasaki-san said with a mocking tone.

I could only see his back from our position so I wasn't able to see his expression though.

"Heh, she can't be serious, right?"

"Did you know? She tried forcing our class to do a maid cafe just because we talked about how maid uniforms our hot that one time."

'Mi-chan... did what-'

I turned towards Mi-chan who was behind me the whole time.

My eyes slightly widen as I saw her expression.

"She was so stupid. She didn't even notice that she was one of the reasons why I transferred schools in the first place."

'No...'

"She was so clingy. Always acting as if I was there to protect her. Even though she was just an ugly bitch."

'Stop...'

"She acts so childish and thinks I'll be going after her just cause I promised her to go out. I bet she'll be all giddy once all of that is over."

'Stop it...'

"There's no way I'll fall in love with someone like her."

'Stop...it...'

"She's just too...

...weird."

*sniff*

"Huh?"

Yamasaki-san and the other guy turn towards our direction as they heard that.

Mi-chan was...

...crying.

The prideful Mi-chan, had tears in her eyes.

"Mi-chan... I...", I wanted to cheer her up, but...

"Y-you two.", Yamasaki-san said as he walked towards us and saw us.

He showed a nervous expression as if he was caught in the act doing a crime.

I then glared at him.

"Never talk to us again."

I then grabbed Mi-chan's arm and ran away.

I always thought, cool boys are amazing. And that someday, I'll find a prince who's cool and caring.

Someone who'll take me on a ride with his bright white horse.

Even if I couldn't achieve that, I wanted my best friend to at least be the one who experiences that.

...but...

______________________________________

"Haaah.", I sighed as I walked alone out the campus.

Hanachi and Mitchi both had to leave early, so I had to walk home alone.

It was already slightly late at that time and evening was quickly coming.

'Guess I'm walking a lonely road.'

I kept walking tiredly, when I suddenly noticed someone's figure from a far distance.

'Is that... Akira?'

Akira's usually with one or two of his friends, Nakamura, Nagai-san, Shikaku-san, Watanabe-san, Takahashi-san and sometimes, with his brother, Akio-senpai so seeing him alone like this is kind of bizzare.

'Maybe I should call out to him. I could ask him if we can walk home together.'

I was gonna run towards him, but suddenly I notice something weird nearby.

Hiding behind a post, was a pink haired cute and sexy girl, who's eyes were focused on Akira.

'Sasaki-san? What's she-'

Suddenly, Akira turned to a dark alley.

'W-where's Akira heading to?'

I was somewhat curious, and decided to act as if I didn't see her and ran towards Akira's destination.

______________________________________

"Mmmmm! Mmmmm! Mmmmm!"

"Come on, take her skirt off quickly, you retard! We're gonna be caught at this rate."

"You guys having fun?", Akira said as he came and interrupted the scene.

Three large muscular bodied men that looked like typical punks were trying to violate an office girl.

One of them had a handkerchief on his hand as he covered her mouth.

One of them was restraining her legs and trying to take off her skirt.

While another one of them seemed to be prepared to restrain her if she tried running away.

"I've been hearing some rumors around here. See, my aunt's some big shot, get it? She would know the movements of lowlives like you, but since this was a case about scum like you guys who are weak and ability-less. The only thing we could count on is the police. And unless they have enough evidence or enough assurance you guys won't be doing shit like this again without the help of the current increase of villains. They needed some guy's help. Someone who could actually beat down all of you without his powers.", Akira explained.

Two of them, the lookout and the one who was trying to spread the girls' legs, stood up seemingly irritated.

"Heh. It's just some kid's trying to play hero, huh?"

"You're a fuckin' masochist, aren't ya? You came here just to die, you retarded piece of shit."

The two mocked him while closing in on Akira.

"You know what? How about we just get done with this."

"You tryin' to be funny, ki-"

*BAAAAAAMMMM!*

Akira's fist hit the delinquent in a blink of an eye.

*PPPPAAAAAKKK*

The delinquent crashed on the wall and fell unconscious.

"YOU-"

The second delinquent charged at Akira and tugged on his sleeves.

*Rip*

The sleeves tore as he tried to lift him.

"Too fucking slow."

Akira quickly pulled on the delinquent's arms and judo lifted him to the ground.

He had his backed turned towards the girl and the delinquent.

The other delinquent, who was trying to drug the girl, gave up drugging her, clicked his tongue and ran at Akira with his fist pointed to him.

"YOU FUCKING CUNT-"

*BBBAAAAAAAMMM*

Akira kicked him away towards the other delinquent earlier.

"Whew. Now that that's done."

Akira turned towards the girl who was being drugged earlier.

"Hey-"

"HEELPPP!"

She suddenly ran and screamed of fear as soon as she saw Akira's face.

"Guess the glare's effect's still there.", Akira mumbled as he scratched the back of his neck.

From the corner of the wall from where Akira fought in, stood me, who watched what happened.

I smiled as I see Akira standing there looking a little troubled.

'Cool, huh?'

______________________________________

"Miss, you dropped this."

"Ah, thanks!"

It was my last year of highschool then, when I met that guy.

He was handsome, had smooth blue hair and had a kind aura.

I was looking for my favorite handkerchief that my grandma gave me and felt relieved finding it.

"Thank you... so much."

"You're welcome."

It was just the first day of classes then, and I already felt a crush with this guy.

______________________________________

"Ei-chan? Are you sure about this?", Mi-chan asked me as I stood up during our lunch break.

It was a few weeks after I saw that guy when I stood up during lunch break carrying an extra lunch box.

"I'm really good at cooking, you know? And besides... They do say, the way to a man's heart is through his stomach.", I gleefully explained.

"...but... We've both been fooled by men, right? Just because he's cool, doesn't mean-"

"Mi-chan.", I stopped her words.

"Ei-chan?"

"... Not every guy's like that, ok? I want to believe."

"... If you say so... I won't stop you anymore, but... be careful."

______________________________________

"A lunchbox?"

"Yes. It's kind of like a thanks for picking up that handkerchief during the first day."

I went to the lower year's classrooms and head towards the guy that picked up my handkerchief.

I learned that he was a transfer student from the lower years from one of my classmates, and decided to thank him in person.

His eyes made an uncomfortable expression as he saw that.

'...That hurt a little.'

"Yeah, sure. Thanks."

He took the lunchbox from my hands and smiled at me.

'A fake smile, huh?'

"Hope you enjoy it!"

I then left the classroom, but stood near the entrance to eavesdrop on them.

"Isn't that the girl from the rumors? Kurokku-san, was it? I heard she was a stuck-up bitch according to the rumors.", my crush said.

"One of her friend's a weirdo too. Know that brown plain looking senior with braids? I heard he slapped his classmate and his childhood friend during their class for no reason at all.", one of his friends told him.

"Besides, why the hell would I just eat food from a random stranger? What am I, a kid? It'd look childish if I was still eating lunch in bento at this age."

"What are you planning to do with that then?"

"I'll throw the contents in the trash."

My eyes widen as I hear this.

"It's probably just shit anyways."

"..."

My eyes tear up as I heard this.

'Guess, I won't be finding prince charming anytime soon.'

*sniff*

The people from the classroom heard my cries.

Their eyes widen.

I then ran away with my forearm on my eyes.

'Guess...that's just it.'

"Good morning, Hanachi, Mitchi!", I greeted the two.

"Good morning Eiko!"

"Good morning, Eikochi."

The two of them greeted me with a smile.

Akira just came in as well, and as always with Sasaki-san and Koka.

"Yo, Akira! Morning!", Nagai-san greeted him as he approached his seat.

"Morning.", he replied.

"Have you heard of the news yesterday? They said some hero saved a girl from being violated yesterday. They don't know who it was, but it was said that it was from our school. I bet he's some really cool savior.", Nagai-san told him.

"O-oh...really?", Akira replied feeling a little uneasy.

"He was the talk in lots of forums. He'll probably be popular if he revealed who he was!", Nagai-san continued.

"...Uh...yeah...hahaha. I guess...", Akira replied.

"Hey, Eichi, Mitchi, wanna hear a joke?", Hana asked us.

"S-sure...", Mitchi replied with an awkward tone.

I just smiled hearing her say this.

"Why did the chicken cross the road?"

'I know this...but...'

"Why?", I asked.

"Because he thought the road was possessed!", she replied with an optimistic tone.

*Giggle*, I giggled with an amused expression.

"You really are still bad at jokes, Han-"

"Pfffft-"

I turned around to hear where the laugh came from.

And I saw Akira trying hard to not laugh.

'Heh....'

I smile seeing him like this.

"Akira..."

I walk towards Akira as lunch just started.

Sasaki-san and Koka seemed to show a threatening expression towards me, but I just ignored it.

"What is it, time girl?", he asked me.

"... Ummm... This is my thanksfor saving us during the tag competition. It's..."

I show him a lunchbox from behind my back.

"...a lunchbox...agai-"

"REALLY?"

Akira's eyes glow of excitement.

I blushed seeing him like this.

"U-uhhh, I mean... thanks... Time girl.", he said trying to fix his face.

Nakamura snickered seeing this.

"Sh-shut the hell up, twerp!", he replied to him.

'Heeeehhh...'

"You're really weird, Akira.", I told him with a smile.

"W-what!?"

"Here you go."

I place the bento in front of him.

"Thank you.", I said with a smile.

Akira blushed as he saw me like this.

I don't know if I'll ever find my prince on a white horse.

...but instead... I've found an idiot with a ripped blazer.

He might be an idiot.

...but he's really...

...really...

...cool.
