《I shall seek revenge》Chapter 3 - Training demon 1

5 years later.
Life went on and all was well. Well almost. It’s kinda funny watching your parents scratch their heads over how to deal with a genius among geniuses. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed life to its fullest however now I was doing things no normal five year old would do. After all, which five year old would already start cultivating and physical tempering. Every morning I would awaken, go for breakfast and then proceed to do laps around the manor. At first it started off as just me running the laps, but a year ago when I started to hit the thirty lap range the, some of the household guards started joining in. Soon even Christof the head guard was running with us. Then not too long after since he noticed that those joining in the training seemed to be more alert and had better stamina this became standardized for household guard training.
Eventually I even included different obstacle courses – yeah I filched it from my former world Earth – I used to be a bit of a military otaku and I’m still proud of it. Needless to say, the household guard didn’t even complete the course even once. Even Christof only made it two thirds of the way through. I managed to complete the course at least three times before I noticed everyone on the ground groaning in agony.
“Eh, shouldn’t you guys be better than this?” I asked Christof who was the only one still on his feet, albeit barely.
Christof dropped to his knees in front of me when he noticed that I was barely sweating even after going thru my obstacle course over three times.
“Young Master Hiro, we have shamed you. We the household guard can’t even keep up with you.” said Christof with tears running down his eyes. “I beg you to please guide us.”

I looked him over and frowned. “Christof, when are the next war games to be held?”
“Three months young Master.”
“And how many times has the household guard won these war games?” I asked as I tapped my chin with my finger.
“Never, young Master.” Came the reply so softly that if it wasn’t for my advanced hearing I wouldn’t have heard it.
“Speak up man! I can’t hear you!” I yelled at him.
“NEVER YOUNG MASTER!” he shouted.
“Good!” I replied to see his jaw drop, but I didn’t stop there. “Now do you want to win?”
“Y..yes?” he stuttered.
“I CAN’T HEAR YOU!!! DO YOU WANT TO WIN?” I shouted down at him. It was a lucky thing that he was on his knees and essentially sitting in *seiza*, otherwise with my five year old height I would never have been able to pull off that *Sergeant* mode on him.
“YES YOUNG MASTER!”
I looked around at the rest of the household guards who by now had managed to pull themselves together and were all standing while looking on.
“And what do the rest of you feel about this? No, don’t answer yet. Ask yourselves first, do you want to win and what are you willing to do to win? Then if you’re willing to have me train you, then everyone in formation NOW!”
It took a bit since as household guards they had never done military training before but after a few minutes I had a twenty by twenty grouping of guards all standing at attention.
“Christof, a large box for me to stand please. I’m going to need to see everyone.”
He ran off and soon returned with a 4x3 box which allowed me to stand over everyone there.

“All right, this is your last chance. If anyone doesn’t want to listen to a five year old child then please feel free to leave now and cross over to the tree over to your right. There will be no repercussions; you will keep your job and your wages. But understand this, anyone who stays will have to listen to everything I say.” I waited for about ten minutes but no one left the formation. “All right times up! Welcome to hell!” I smiled
Suddenly all four hundred of the household guards felt a shiver run down their spine when they saw the smiling face of the young master. Even Christof swallowed as he felt that he’d gotten them all in way over their heads.

Book 1: The Forgotten Fighter
Follow a collection of chance encounters turned potential allies as numerous forces work to tear through the fabric of reality. Viamarr, a continent in the world of Rinterria, holds host to our tale and to the city of High Morr, which sits snugly on its frozen island in the middle of a great frostbitten lagoon. When High Morr is suddenly crippled by a series of mysterious sinkholes, our heroes do what they do best. Try to run. Keep up with them to find out where they end up and what exactly is chasing them in return. I hope to publish a new chapter 3 times a week. This is reduced from my previous number, hopefully temporarily, due to an increased workload outside of Royal Road. I welcome any and all feedback to improve my writing, so thank you for taking the time to check out my page.

In Pursuit of Bark's Finest
On the frontiers of transhumanity’s expansion into the galaxy thousands of light years from the light of Sol, things can get rather chaotic. There are countless millions of nascent interstellar nations securing their interests, pirate ships prospering off plunder and deniable mercenary work, dissidents setting up their own civilizations, and other groups all trying to push an agenda. When these groups crash into each other, the results can become extremely messy and convoluted. Recently, a frontier nation calling itself the Red Star Union has found itself at the focal point of one such complication. A freighter under their protection has been sabotaged, hijacked in interstellar space, and robbed of its cargo. This would be bad enough even if all it were carrying was luxury goods, but the freighter Nebula Plow was carrying more than just normal trade goods. Indeed, her cargo of Non-Orientable Wormholes for use in starship power plants was both very expensive and very, very dangerous. Now the Red Star Union has to worry about a pirate crew running around with several extra devices capable of converting matter into antimatter with negligible energy cost. With those, the pirates could be capable of inflicting untold damage if allowed to leverage their ill-gotten gains into a stronger position, a possibility the Union finds completely intolerable. Unfortunately, all that the Red Star Union has to go on for evidence is two names; that of the captain, and that of the ship. The Captain is going by the possible pseudonym of Fuller, while the ship is named Bark’s Finest. And thus the orders came down to the Union’s Bureau of Starforce Intelligence: find more information on these pirates, conclusively identify them, and figure out where exactly they’ve gone to ground so that the fleet can crush them before they get established. Of the many agents that the bureau assigned to this mission, one would happen to play an important role: Field Agent Madeline Zargosty. This is her story. This story is entirely pre-written, and will have one chapter released per week. If you want to read it all ahead of schedule and get access to some premium-exclusive bonus content, the entire book is available for purchase; links to the appropriate storefront pages will be posted at the end of each chapter. This story is also being posted to Scribblehub.
