Chapter 7- Obviously We Pillage the Village
After a long struggle of bringing the five dead bodies back to Roen, Engil sat and watched as Roen wordlessly wrenched their souls out of their bodies and made them collide into each other producing a sparkling clear liquid that fell into his palm. Once again slurping down the liquid as if he was in a desert and it was the first drink he had in a year.
"You know, that stuff you drink kinda looks like clear piss."
"I'm starting to get the feeling that you hold no servile attitude towards me."
"Well give me my body back."
"Can't, I already used it for that." Roen retorted while pointing his regenerating hand at the half destroyed white dome.
"...how."
"Well it's the same principle of those runes you have. I'm just using something else as a medium." Roen said with a nasty smile, as the rest of his injured face filled in and he regained his lost limbs.
"Well come on let's get a move on whoever set those series of traps should think I'm dead, but I don't wanna test that theory until I regain the rest of my strength." As Roen said these words he pulled the air in front of the destroyed dome and it seemed to break apart and gather in a small sphere in his palm. The sphere then started to unravel making it look like fabric, and if Engil hadn't known it was his bones and blood that Roen was manipulating he would be quite dazzled at the display. Soon a pure white robe with dark red trimming covered up the once tattered body of Roen. It matched well with his piercing red eyes and white skin that resembles that of snow.

"If I didn't know you were male I would honestly believe you look pretty."
"I'm starting to grow tired of your opinions. Anyways let's go have some fun. I've been feeling a small gathering of human souls only a couple miles from here they'll be perfect nutrients for my injured soul."
"Injured soul?"
"Ah did I forget to tell you? That multicolored light is called the soul shattering imprint. It was a spell made specifically to target the soul. A couple of old humans made it in the hopes of eradicating me. Quite foolish no?"
"In the end what exactly are you."
"No comment." Roen gave a smile at Engil as he quickly turned and started to walk towards the woods. Engil gave a defeated sigh and trotted off after his incomprehensible master.
As the two made their way through the supposedly dangerous Wolf Woods, killing any living thing that crossed their path, and those unlucky wolves' blood and bones were mysteriously absorbed by the clothing of Roen. Watching Roen take the souls and eat them directly instead of liquifying them Engil got a little curious, but kept silent since Roen's face didn't contain his usual happy grin. The next hour was spent in silence.
"Is there something wrong with the situation. Why the long face?" Roen glanced at Engil with a hint of annoyance before he replied.
"My soul seems to have taken more damage than I thought. I am going to need at least a couple billion ordinary souls just to heal that injury, and that'll take too long."
"Why are you in such a rush?"
"Revenge is a dish best served warm, preferably with a nice warm stake to the eye and a extra helping of brutal beatings." Engil couldn't deny Roen's logic and chose to nod in agreement. The two reached a fairly large hill that was about several hundred feet away from the town situated near the edge of the woods. Gazing at the town Roen regained his lost sense of drive and a beautiful smile started to spread on his face. Looking at the smile Engil shivered as if the surrounding temperature just reached sub zero.

"Well, as they say when you've lost something, take it back as brutally as possible and make sure to step on all those who get in the way."
"If anyone other than you said that I will begin to grill myself and jump into the Serpent Sea to be a well cooked appetizer for one of those beasts."
"Ah well it's the thought that counts."
"Yea sure. Anyways why're we on the outskirts of town are we looking for a damsel in distress or something." Roen looked at Engil as if he said something weird, and covered his mouth as he laughed in contempt.
"No you idiot. Obviously we're here to pillage the village. You know the usual, kill steal, repeat. No rape though that's too much for my tastes. I wonder how they taste. Anyways I'm hungry we'll charge on my battle cry."
"Aye aye captain." With another sigh Engil turned to face the village.
'Maybe it might have been better to die back there.' Dreaming about how blissful hell could be compared to his lifetime of servitude as a amorphous blob of floating comebacks, Engil was awakened by his master's battle cry full of bloodlust and battle craze.
"HUUUUUUNNNNNGGGGRRRRYYYY!!!"
'Did, did he just scream hungry? Was that really the signal to attack? Can't I just sit this one out?' Full of indignation Engil began to run at the village feeling very uncommitted.
'Well life won't get boring at least.'
