Magic System Details/Changes and other Data
First of all this is not a chapter, but is about the magic systems that will be used from now on in Imperator of Beasts. I decided to just make a post fully explaining what the magic system has evolved into since I started Imperator of Beasts and I didn’t want to make another data dump chapter like chapter 5. Also if you want to help add to the skills of the magic system then please also read the note at the end.
General Magic System of Imperator of Beasts
Every living being in this universe has mana contained within them with domestic animals and livestock of the Mer having the least (this will be explained why later on in story). This mana can be considered to be in a “raw” form and isn’t usable. For the mana to be used it must either be manipulated by itself, which is used for body strengthening, or it is converted to elemental mana.
The ways that the different races convert their raw mana to usable mana vary. For the Mer, they convert it with the help of the gods by doing their chants (human) and some minor manual mana control (elves). Dwarves channel their raw mana through glyphs to achieve the desired effect.
Using regular mana that is not in the raw or elemental forms results in body strengthening and guarding skills/spells. This is use of mana will cause the skill and parts of the body being strengthened to harden and deal and absorb more force. It can also be used to enhance certain muscles to increase the power and effectiveness of burst type movements, like jumping or a sprint. The mana will dissipate with one use unless the user is constantly channeling mana to their body parts, or if a spell was used to do the strengthening. If a spell was used then the strengthening effect will last longer because the user used quite a bit more mana than was necessary for a single strike and this excess mana fuels the spells duration. Light Elves are the only race that can’t use this magic offensively, only defensively.
In terms of defensive abilities, there are 7 tiers of power, but this just pertains to the races that use chants and glyphs to use their mana. For the races that must control their mana manually, their defensive ability is based on how much mana they are using to strengthen said part of their body at the time and how efficiently they are able to convert their mana to elemental mana. Each tier of defensive mana use can protect the user from magic or skills up to that tier (a little different for the top tier but we are way the hell too early for that). The first tiers of defensive mana use and strengthening are considered tier number 0, so the tier 1 defensive magic is technically the 2nd tier but that will make a little better sense in a bit.

Now for the main event of this info page, the elemental magic system of the world, or at least for the species that can only manipulate mana manually. For these species to convert their mana to an elemental mana, they compress their mana and must also mentally picture the type of mana and also try to “picture” the element they want. Most manual mana manipulators tend to figure out these feelings out by instinct, but summoned and occasionally reincarnated beings don’t have this instinct so it is a bit harder to figure out some of the elements at first. Once it’s figured out it becomes much easier to convert their raw mana to elemental form. The skills that go with each element corresponds with how much of their body they can coat with the base skill of each element, except for special mana types as well as dark and light mana. The first tier skill of each of the 6 natural elements (fire, ice, lightning, air, water, earth) is kind of like a coating/skin based skill that also causes the transformation effect in demihumans.
The concentration and conversion of raw mana to an elemental mana has a ridiculously bad efficiency for manual mana control and takes a quite a long time to have a great efficiency for the top tier skills. The efficiency of each tier only affect the tier above it a little, but training a higher tier will have a help improve the efficiency of the tiers below it. The 30 minutes of being able to use a certain tier of transformation still applies before a demihuman is allowed to move on to training using the next tier. The reason for 30 minutes is because once that time can be reached/surpassed, then the increase in efficiency for that tier becomes almost non-existent, except for top tier but that’s not going to actually happen for a while. You can consider the mana conversion efficiency as a kind of muscle that can be trained by demihumans. This is also the downside that demihumans have for their large pool of raw mana they possess at birth.
The skills of each element build upon each other so it’s almost like a skill just getting stronger and stronger as the tier increases, but not always. Also when the mana is used for an attack it is used up in the skill and the demihuman’s body returns to normal and they have to build up mana to use a skill again. So here is the list of the elemental skills of demihumans that you will be seeing for the rest of Imperator of Beasts. Once I have a skill get used in the story I will update this list and will say if this page has been updated in that chapter's author’s note.

1. Burning Claw (Causes the hand to looked charred and glow red and is hot enough to sear wounds shut on opponents who aren’t shielded)

1. Freezing Paw (Uses mana to grow ice from the user’s body. The ice can be manipulated to form into a spike onto the user’s hand for increased piercing power or can transfer the ice and cold to part of the opponent that the user touches while skill is active. The ice will melt not long after separation from the user’s body and melt back into mana)

Lightning:
1. Shocking Strike/Palm (Can increase piercing power of claws and will send electricity into the body of the target when used as a strike. When used with the palm the electricity will stun and knock out the opponent 80 out of 100 times if they are unprepared. The other 20 is either death of victim, or one pissed off strong opponent.)

Air:
1. Impact (Uses air to increase the impact force of a punch or step. One of two tier 1 skills that allows mana to be built up in feet or wings)

1. Pulse Jet (Similar to Impact, but with water. Can be used on land but shows devastating effects if used in water. Can also be used with hands and feet at 1st tier.)

1. Stone Skin (Increases defense, offense and durability of affected body parts. Will last as long as the user is using mana to maintain the skill)

1. Dark Slash (Uses solidified darkness to slice unsuspecting and unprotected opponents. Range and cutting ability increases the more mana is compressed before the use of the skill)

Note: For those skills that have a ??? next to them, it means that while I have a possible name and effect for the skill, I don’t have the most confidence in them. If you the readers do post suggestions for skills, I will pick names and effects I like for each tier and put a couple options up in a poll for you all to pick. I will reserve the right to slightly alter names and skill effects (and especially tier) before they are put up on the poll, or even pick them without a poll. Any skills that are selected for reader suggestions will have credit for the name and/or skill effect listed after the skill description once it is added to this page. For now I’m mainly looking for tier 2-4 skills since I will only be selecting skills as the need for them arises in the story. Feel free to post skills for tier 5 & 6 if you want since I’m still interested what my readers can come up with.
