“How do I get to 5th level?” I questioned the beautiful librarian. “Step into that gondola, and push your hand to that handle. Concentrate and think about where you want to go, and it will take you to that part of library”, she answered.
I stepped into gondola and pushed my hand onto handle-like structure. “5th level, 3rd block” I murmured and it began to float. I removed my hand and automatically gondola began to fly towards 5th level. I looked back to see librarian girl and gentleman accompanying her getting smaller and smaller as I was flying towards up.
I left gondola and it flew back to its original place. I looked around to see few more gondola’s standing close by attached to 5th level. I saw big letter “A” written on top of shelf. Under it there were numbers signed to each shelf. I walked until I reached shelf number 28. After few minutes of search I found “Cartae e Monstrum” and grabbed it.
Opening the book, first thing I saw was that everything was indexed according to letters. I put my right index finger on page and scrolled down to find letter “L”. There were lots of monster names so I turned another three pages until I reached letter L.
My eyes found words “Lichen” on first try. Information was on page number 548. I turned to that page to find relatively small information about Lichen. I was loudly reading the information “A mythical creature of unknown origins. According to some myths, it has genetic relations to people of Nekyia. Narrations from “Legend of Pyrr” inform that Lichen is both a warrior and magician which uses dark magic. Lichen is referred to monster that has not reached level 6 yet. Up to that point it acts as a warrior type monster who uses either sword or scythe. However after level 6, up to level 9 – it evolves and changes it outer appearance turning into Lich and is able to use magical spells. Any Lich who passes level 9 is called Lich King and another metamorphosis happens changing its outer appearance again. Nevertheless, its monster of myths and legends. They have not been sighted in last millennium”.

Using magical gondola I descended to ground floor. Vurm was there, waiting for me. “Where are we heading now?”, I asked him. “We will ride to meet sir Destrian at the initial meeting point.”
Late December. 4030. City of Marat. Cohen Territories
We rode by check points located near the Alpine Cypress Groove to get information in case Lichen had attacked, but to our surprise it has disappeared into the depth of forest as if it had not existed at all. It was a long and tiring journey. It took us 6 months by riding stallions to reach outpost of City of Marat.
We were standing on top of a hill and facing City of Marat. Caravans from different parts of Pyrr were coming into Marat. At least a caravan or two of mules and camels carrying merchandise were standing by Marat’s gates to enter any minute. “There!” Vurm said pointing towards three big buildings on outer side of Marat. I used my right leg to kick stallion’s belly for it move. After half an hour of slow ride we reached our destination.
We passed by foot soldiers who were lined up to enter the first building. Most of them were talking about food, meals and how hungry they were which indicated that kitchen and cafeteria were located in that building. Second building was used as barracks for soldiers and warriors to sleep over while third building was used as headquarter. We got off from horses and walked straight towards the third building.
Nigel was standing by entrance of third building talking to a woman in military uniform. His face turned to a bright smile as soon as he detected us walking towards him. Running to us, he hugged Vurm (who didn’t hug him back at all) and patted my head. “You guys been through a lot!”, he said but got no response from Vurm at all while I smiled at him. “Sir Destrian is waiting for you guys!” Nigel said and we followed him into the building.

We entered a large room which was simple and boring. It had shelves,a big table and stools. Sir Destrian was sitting at the end of table on a big armchair while rest were sitting on stools by massive table. At the end of table there were two stools that were meant for Vurm and me. We sat on them while Nigel went to side near sir Destrian. Leo was sitting besides sir Destrian too. I was not acquainted with others who were sitting by table.
Long story short, both Vurm and I told them what we went through while facing Lichen. I told them almost everything except few instances regarding my newly acquired katana and what Lichen had told me before disappearing. All of them nodded while few of them took notes while we talked. No one cut in or said anything.
[Destrian]: Little Kain!
[Me]: Yes, my lord!
[Destrian]: Did it talk at all?
[Me]: No, my lord!
Looking towards an old looking man sitting on his right, Destrian murmured “Good, it seems it has not reached 5th level yet.”, while that man nodded in agreement.
“You guys have been through a lot, rest for few days. We will leave back to Cohen Mansion in two days!”, he told us and Nigel again stood to show us rooms to relax.
We departed back to Cohen Mansion and reached it after 3 months of travel. My parents were not working as servants in Cohen Mansion anymore. A two story house was given to them as a gift by Riley Cohen. On first floor there was a shop and studio for craftsmanship. Oscar was carving toys and gifts which were sold in shop. Leila was running shop, where she sold Oscar’s carvings and sweets that she cooked in her spare time. To my surprise Leila was pregnant and a new member would be joining our family.
My birthday was coming up so it was nice to be back. My nose was aching for Leila’s warmth. Moreover it was good to have a place to call home.
Late March. 4031. Library. Cohen Mansion
“In two months, Cyrus Lyth will be 17 years old. Farrell will be going to attend his birthday party, and Kyle will be joining too. I want you to accompany Farrell into Lyth Manor and experience high society ball.”, Riley told me while sitting on armchair. “Yes, my Lord”, I replied. “Anything else?”, he asked. “Yes, my Lord”, I responded. “Go on, I’m listening”, Riley said. “My lord, I wanted to ask you this question few years ago, but it happened to be today.”, I stopped to take a breathe. “What is the name of land that is on north-west side of this map?”, I asked while pointing to piece of land that was separate from Continent of Pyrr, but was included in map which was drawn on library’s wall.
P.S: How's the story so far?

The Second Coming of Fate [A High Fantasy Story]
Prologue Arc: The Day That Begins Your Fate - COMPLETED Story Arc 1: Chaos in the Lamorian Kingdom - ONGOING Please consider following/leaving a rating. I plan to turn this into a long lasting series, and it would really mean a whole lot to me. :) ----- Having succumb to amnesia, Galvin one day appears in the Grand Forest east of the capital kingdom Lamora. For the next two months, he lives a perfectly carefree yet boring life until one fateful day changed everything. Encountering all sorts of characters and dealing with all sorts of shenanigans, Galvin begins to experience visions of what appears to be the future. With this newfound power in a world full of magic, yet plagued with war, discrimination, and brutality, will Galvin be able to change fate…or die trying? ----- Do you like stories where the protagonist doesn't start out strong and is deeply character driven (with a LOT of inner monologues)? A story that has its fair share of comedic and dark moments? Well then you've come to the right place! However, if you're looking for LitRPG mechanics, then unfortunately, this story doesn't contain too many of them. The dynamics of the story will be based on real life physics and mechanics (with a bit of magic of course!) Also, I delve deeply into a lot of disturbing topics, so readers do be warned. However, if any of this sounds interesting to you, then please come by and give my story a read. ----- Expect releases as soon as possible (which is like 4 - 10 days). Just know that I'm writing this story as it progresses, so a lot of first drafts are to be expected. :D

Tales of Ordinary, Completely Unremarkable Contractors
"Where life had no value, death, sometimes, had its price. That is why the mercenaries appeared." - Artur Xerxes, in A Century of Disappointment: Memoirs of a Travelling Dwarf It's never too difficult to land contracts for a set very specialised skills in a continent teeming with werewolves, vampires, giant leopards, undead and, god forbid, elves. The difficulty comes when these contractors find themselves suffocated in the dense atmosphere of this world's rigid - and mostly unfair - rules; death, suffering and misfortune await those unwilling to sacrifice to bend these in their favour. In this non-linear plot, you will observe a scarred and deformed farm girl cashing her first bounty posters, a seemingly ordinary barmaid at a tavern in the bustling centre of a sprawling, corrupt city and an enigmatic leader of a firm specialising in dealings any other would consider suicidal. Watch them all take everything to the next level at every available opportunity, and then feel dread at the thought that this still might not be enough to halt the physical embodiment of doom about to do what it does best Please, feel free to review and comment! Any sort of feedback can help me become a better writer and write more engaging stories for you. I used to update once every 3-5 days, but this rewrite is taking much too long...I do hope it will be worth it.
