"WHA???" , I hear all you fine readers saying. "He's lost it completely, finally! What the hell do we have a blank chapter for??"
It's simply because I'm going to offer my work over on a different site as well. The Fallen Ascending -- on Inkitt.com The thing is, the site there auto-numbers chapters starting at 1. This story has a prologue before chapter 1.... The count is off, and that's just a PITA to deal with, so a blank chapter here fixes that issue.
To be honest, in my opinion, they have a much better interface for reading things on -- at least on my iPad. RRL still has more options, reply forums, allows comments, and lots of other features which means I prefer it on the PC; but when on the tablet I just want to read, and I find the other place better for that. (Adjustable font sizes is a huge plus for these old eyes...)
From now on, you'll have the option for viewing on whichever site you prefer and whichever suits your needs the best.
