Early in the morning, Echo was sitting on the edge of the bed and Skyeza was sleeping behind him with a satisfied face.

He was thinking about stuff, while holding his left hand over his left eye and the mark, that Nox left on his face. Right now he had five and an half months to live and he still doesn't have any lead on how to find Xeeht or any other demon lord servant. If he wants to live, he needs to find them and get the location of Acedia.

As he was thinking, he felt a pair of hands wrap around his waist and so he looked behind him, to see that Skyeza was awake and staring at him.

"Morning Sky."he greeted her and she replied"Good morning."

Skyeza sat up and leaned her body against his back. He now could feel her big breasts squeezing against his back, covered with scars. She rests her head onto his right shoulder and says"You're up so early again."

"Nightmares."he replies to her and she asks with a concerned voice"From past?"

"No."he replies and continues"From the possible future."

"What exactly did you see?"she asks him and after letting out a sigh, he replies"A dream about the future, where I didn't find Acedia and died from the poison. I was laying on the ground, while you were crying over my body and telling me not to leave you."

"Echo."she cries out his name in a weak voice.

"It was just a dream, so don't over think it."he tells her and pats her head with his left hand. She doesn't say anything after hearing him and just stays quiet, while resting her head on his shoulder.

When he doesn't hear her for a few while, he turns his head to look at her and sees her just staring at the wall and probably thinking.

Because he doesn't like the current mood, he turns around the little and pushes her down onto the bed, snapping Skyeza out of her thoughts immediately.

"Echo. What are you doing?"she asks in a surprised tone, while looking at Echo, who is holding her down.

"Having your beautiful breasts pressing against me got me in the mood."he gives a quick kiss onto her lips and continues"So now you have to take responsibility."

"Echo... I'm sore from before."Skyeza cries out to him, but her cries are ignored by him. When she sees that, she says"At least be gentle."

"That I can do."Echo replies to her and kisses her.

Few hours later, the two are laying on the bed, with Skyeza drenched in sweat, while Echo doesn't seem tired at all. She is resting her head on his chest, while clinging to him.

"Echo."she says and he asks"Yes Sky."

She breaths a few times, before answering"You need a second lover."

"Why are you saying that so suddenly?"He asks her, with no hint of surprise on his voice.

"Because I can't handle you alone."She replies to him and looks up to his face.

"I guess so. Maybe after I have gotten rid of the poison, I will look a friend to you."Echo says and rubs her back.

"You better choose a good woman. Not any woman will do."she tells him, to which he replies"Well that's obvious."

"Just saying."

After another hour, they finally got up, got dressed and left the room. Immediately after they exited the room, Karena the maid told them"The king wants every hero into the throne room. She can't go."

"Okay."he continues"Wait for me in the room."

"Okay."she replies in a quiet voice and goes back to the room.

As for Echo, he goes to the throne room and once he gets there, he sees the others have already gathered there and seemingly waiting for him.

"So you decided to show up."The king says in an arrogant voice and Echo replies"I have my own stuff to do. Don't expect me to show up immediately."

The king is about to say something to him, but stops, knowing that it would be pointless.

So he clears his throat and starts to talk"Thank you for coming here. The reason for why I called you here is, that a large group of demons have takes one of our fortresses at the frontier and it is important for us to take back. So I want you heroes, to travel there with a platoon of soldiers and take back the fortress. You Will leave in two days, so get ready."

Seeing, that it was over, Echo left the room and went back to his room, where he found Skyeza looking out of the window, but turned to look at him, she heard him entering.

"What did he say?"she asks her and he replies"New job in two days. Lets go. We need to prepare."

"Okay."she replies and walks up to her. The two leave the castle, with her clinging to him like always and hiding under his cloak.

First they go to the weapon store, to buy dozens of arrows for her and a second quiver for her, which she wanted. After the weapon shop, they bought some food for the road and then they had the basic things bought.

While walking back to the castle, they noticed a crowd gathering around something, so they decided to check it out. When they got there, they saw a young female cat beastkin on the ground, while a fat human was yelling at her.

"Watch where you going you little bitch!"the fat guy yelled at her, while holding his whip. While looking at the scene, Skyeza tugged his sleeve and when he looked at her, she had the 'you must help her' face on her.

"Fine."he told her and walked towards the catgirl. He could have ignored Skyeza, but because she has put up with him, he doesn't mind doing something she wants to. Even If it is catgirl saving.

So he steps out from the ground the same time, as he is about to whip her. But before it could hit her, it was stopped by Echo, who caught it and was holding onto it now.

"Who the fuck are you bastard? Do you know what you are doing?"the fatass yelled at Echo, who with a calm voice replied"What I want."

He then pulled the whip out of the fatsses greasy hands and rolled it to his hands, while the fatass yelled"Guard. Take out this bastard."

But the guards didn't do anything and when the fatass looked back at his guards, he saw all of them were frozen in fear.

"It's him."one of the guards yelled and ran away with the others following him. Now the fatass was left alone and started to slowly retreat, only to trip over some rock and then started to beg"Please have mercy. Please have mercy. I'll give you anything."he kept repeating the same lines over and over again.

Echo didn't say anything, until the whip was rolled up and he was holding it in his hands.

"No mercy."he said and a loud whip crack followed it. Blood flew around the man and he cried out in pain. His face had a huge whip wound now, that went across his entire face.

The crowd started to mutter around him and so he whipped the ground and said"Everyone leave or end up like him!"

And in a few seconds, everyone left, only leaving Echo, Skyeza, the fatass and the catgirl here. Skyeza walked up to the catgirl and crouched down next to her.

"Are you okay? Did he hurt you?"she asks her and receives a nod from her. Seeing that he actually managed to hurt her, made her angry, because some time ago, she would have been sold as a slave and probably be abused, If Echo hadn't showed up.

As for the fatass, he tries to crawl away, when Echo wasn't looking, but failed immediately, as the whip was swinged and it now was coiled around his leg.

"Not done with you."he tells him and then asks Skyeza"How's she?"

"It seems that he managed to hit her before."Skyeza replies to Echos question.

"I see."he replies and looks back at the man."You're gonna get a punishment."

"Sky. Come hold this."He tells her and so she walks up to him, to hold the whip. Echo himself walks up to the girl and crouched down next to her. He moves his face near her cat ear and asks"Do you have a family?"

"Only big sis."she replies in a weak voice.

"Where is she now?"

"At home."

"Why did he attack you?"

"He hates beastkins and when he saw me, he just attacked."she replies in a weak voice again.

"Do you want to take revenge on him?"

"Yes. His a bastard."

"Are you ready to kill him?"he asks her the most serious question and she replies after a few seconds"Yes. He did this to my dad too and killed him."

"Good. Now get up and take the whip."he tells her and helps her to get on her feed. He guides her to Skyeza, who he tells"Give her the whip."

She nods, understanding the reason for it and gives it to her. The catgirl looks at the whip for a few seconds, before pulling off from the mans leg. Echo and Skyeza walk back, so they wouldn't get hit.

She swings the whip and the first hit nearly misses. The second one doesn't and a cry full of pain could be heard after the whip crack. After each swing, the next one follows faster and harder. More pain and blood comes with a each swing, until there is no cry from the fatass.

Skyeza looks at the scene and gets a deja vu. It was almost exactly with her. She also killed the person, who hurt her, with a help of Echo. She looked at Echo and realised that he knows what to do, to make a person do something.

The catgirl stopped and looked at the whip with a happy face, before dropping it onto the ground. She walked over to the two and said"Thank you. I owe you for giving me my revenge."

Echo just smiles to that and she smiles back to him.

She then remembers something and says"Sorry. I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Kuro."
